My guess on the flaming swords is just coincidence. Swords with fire damage are an RPG staple. DA's Thedas just happens to have burned its primary religious prophet and taken the flames on as iconography.

The Tevinter Chantry do say that she was a mage. The White Chantry push a sword and board Andraste.
It doesn't particularly worry me...dogma/myth vs history....a bit like the game of chinese whispers....of course that means she was an archer....

I've just shown the pics of new DA:I Cullen to my boyfriend (who played DA:O and DA2) and told him my admiration for our Commander. His comment was "You want me to cut short my hair and wear fur coat?"

 

Oh my, I actually love how BW put a lot of Templar-Mage "forbidden" loves/deep affection:

- Cullen / Amell (ending very badly, not even started but was surely there)

- Rhys / Evangeline

- Cassandra  / That lightly bearded mage guy whose name I forgot from Dawn of the Seeker (more friendzoned but I guess there are some deeper feeling)

She's actually depicted as an archer in the Orlesian cult of Masked Andraste, so that base is covered too.

After all the hype and excitement, I just know I'm going to be so overwhelmed when I actually get into my own game. I might just end up sitting staring at my screen for hours, frightened to actually venture in.

It's weird, something about this game feels pretty special, I don't know if it's the details of what we know, the build up over the years or if a large part of it is being around you guys, it's like nothing I've ever experienced before so although I'm hyped to the max, once the game is out and playable, that first moment when you launch the game and step back into Thedas, it's a one time thing, I'll never have that moment ever again. It's like a wrapped gift, you get excited by what might be in it but once opened, it is what it is, even the most awesome gift, if you wrap it back up, it's never going to feel the same the next time you unwrap it. I can totally see myself an excited, trembling, emotional wreck on launch day - tissues at the ready

I would love to see a male inquisitor got Friendzoned by Cullen,  I wonder how he will do it actually? He got all nervous in that video

Argh... the wait for this game just seems to be getting harder the closer the release date gets!

 

Still, at the same time I cannot believe in just over a week (UK gamer here!) will finally be able to get the chance to romance Cullen! It's been an event five years in the making lol. 

 

I haven't posted much in this thread despite finally delurking awhile back but I really have to say that following the discussions here has really kept me sane through the last couple of months. Everyone here is so warm and friendly - it really is my favourite thread on the BSN.

Yeah, I must have gotten a glitch, because I do have him as one though which was odd.
