Well, my lovely mother told me yesterday she's ordered the new Assassin's Creed game for me, as she's bought me all the others for Xmas.  Plus EverQuest2 just released a new expansion pack.  Damn this trapped nerve in my back that means i can't sit at the PC/Xbox for hours on end every day!

It's just images on the Josephine thread. Romance images. Not really that big a deal...some people are even using them as default pictures. 

 

Just another little thing that won't feel as fresh as if I didn't look.

Well it's a red letter day all right.  I just clicked my first Cullen flirt option in the Access trial!  Without saying anything spoilery he's lovely (also soooo handsome and that's on Xbox, he'll practically be godlike on PC I'm guessing - it's easy to imagine your Quizzy just blushing and generally being overwhelmed because of all the handsome coming off the Commander) and the Quizzy VA did a charming job with her delivery, it was very cool. 

 

I"m not going to post any spoilers and I'll tag the next bit to be extra careful but really it's just my impression of the characters, if they seem nice or interesting etc without giving you any context for why I think they'll be great characters.

The other stellar thing for me because I didn't expect to take to him is Solas is awesome.  I haven't found him in the camp yet to talk more to yet but so far he's really interesting and intriguing.  I'm going to track him down next because I really want to get to know the character.  I think supporters are going to be over the moon about him.  Varric was one of my favourite characters in DA2 and from very brief conversation I had with him he's every bit as charming and warm as ever.  Josie (again a really small time of interaction) is a total sweetie in a clever, reserved fashion.  I think Cassandra is going to be a really strong party member and when we get to know her will be completely amazing, all I can say from the interactions I've had so far is that she's very admirable and brave.

 

 

I'm running out of time though in the trial and I don't know that I'll even make it to the Hinterlands because I kept having to go back and make my character again.  I don't really like any of the hair options and they all look very plastic on the screen, so that kept bothering me until I wasted 1/2 my time in CC.  It's kind of the curse of protagonist vanity biting me on the arse again but you know I had to have a Quizzy I could at least imagine our Cullen fancying, anything else would have been intolerable and I clearly have messed up gaming priorities.

IF you guys want to see little gampley, by a fella who does a nice job, doesn't talk over cutscenes, and is rather charming (ie, not a jerk about the game), I suggest this one.  Note, fastfoward to last 2 minutes for a little dialogue with Cullen.

Wheee & Awww all at once. Trapped nerves are sooo painful =/ You need extra long controller cables for the xbox or wireless keyboard and mouse and a dinner tray hanging around your neck, that way you can stand up and keep on moving around the room and play at the same time Hope it gets better though!

 

I don't know if I can wait another week.....gads, it seems like an age away still. Hubby and I are now growling at each other, he is knee deep in WoW and I'm sooo jealous lol just as I suspected, he's all like "look at this" "this is amazing" and I'm like "yeah whatever " Lol. He is so uninterested in anything DAI its making me feel quite bitter and resentful, I'm like that I even have Cullen on my desktop, hubby hasn't even acknowledged it......this means WAR!

Yeah...he keeps mentioning how gorgeous his guy is.  The volume is a bit low at first, but he eventually turns it up.  Few additional Cullen things in there because he chooses different options than the devs in their 1st hour gameplay.  I am digging Cullen even more, cause he has some bite now.

Actually looking at how many mages hate being mages, how many people just be crazy because they're too weak to temptation etc, isn't it a good choice to not having anymore magic at all? It will solve all the Mage-Templar situation: no more mages = no more threat so no more need to imprison people to simply being born as mages.

 

For healing etc we do get some non-mage surgeons & healers in Haven apparently, so that means that it's possible to not relying on magic at all.

I think it's called "Into the Darkness" by The Phantoms. But it apparently isn't out yet, so you won't find it.

There's certainly a strong argument for the positives of that, especially if you, you know, actually lived in Thedas.

 

But would you want to play a Dragon Age game without magic? I don't like the idea from a narrative standpoint.

I keep watching the new trailer over and over and over again.  OMG...every single part of it has me squealing!!! 

 

I feel like I am a teenager again.  Like how I felt when i saw the first Lord of the Rings trailer.  Like how I felt after watching the Matrix.  Like how I felt when I got my first tickets to see Tool in concert.  Just so...much...awesomeness all at once!!!   WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey all! I've been playing multiplayer tonight on EA Access, and Cullen introduced one of our matches! I thought you'd like to see it - I took a nice HD video of it using Game DVR … only to find I can't upload/share it yet because the game is still in trial and there are restrictions. D'oh. Very true, on game mechanic POV it'll be sad without magic. But well, I always do RP...

Actually I played Fem Quizzy and decided to full on charge. I did not get him checking her out. It's just depends on what path you decide to take.
