Wow, it's kinda sad how they don't even try to frame the conflict as "shades of grey" anymore, It all runs down to poor oppressed mages versus big bad evil Templars.
It's not like it hasn't always been that way since Origins, but... there's no point in playing all surprised and upset that the majority of the player base sides with the mages later, when they frame their own narrative so blatantly slanted to victimize one side and demonize the other.
Ah well, at least my playthrough is still my own, and my canon is more important than BW's.
Three more days and I shall rectify this poorly told tale.
I hear you on that. DA2 is very shades of grey, but Varric in the Keep (regardless of his stance in DA2) is suddenly anti-Templar. I've read Asunder, and that is also shades of grey. I find this very strange when BW themselves have said that the most commonly played ending in DA2 was Templar.
Oh well never mind....I'm still playing pro-templar first time through as Trevelyan.
