Do you think we get a special achievement if we manage to blow through the Cullen romance before ever leaving Haven?  A kind of 'we will not be saving anyone until the Quizzy is bent over the war table, so get on with it, buddy!' badge.

But what Shadowreign beat me to saying, they've got the romances paced so you can't blow through things too quickly. Which may be frustrating at the front end, but will keep it interesting through the rest of the game.

I have no likes but she is so cute! Her eyes though, they look so sad. I think they have done an excellent job with conveying emotion through the eyes.

The movement isn't as fast as DA2 and is more reminiscent of DAO but I wouldn't say "heavy". None of the classes mover as fast as they did in DA2, not even when running around town and there us no way to sprint. I loved how fast the rogues were in DA2, it is one of the reasons I always played them but the slower movement doesn't deter me from the rogue because they are still very quick in their special attacks. One thing I had to make sure I didn't do was hold down auto-attack because if I did then I couldn't move forwards/backwards/to the side so I found it better to tap rather than hold down. Not related but the jump button is 'A' on Xbox which has been the attack button for the two previous games so I ended up trying to jump my enemies into submission a lot until my brain finally got its ass into gear. 

Thank you, my dear! I'm reassured now. I was quite happy with the rogue mechanics in DA:O, so I'll be fine. Thanks again!

I've never played on a console, so I can't directly make any comparisons but up until a year or so ago I had an ancient pc with a clapped out graphics card. In my experience, you just had to go easy with hair colours, the lighter colours (whites and light blondes) always looked awful! blotchy and plastic whereas darker shades looked absolutely fine. It seems to me that whoever created that char in the picture deliberately chose the worst hair colour to use as an example to bring about a reaction. I haven't seen any but are there old gen or low setting pc pictures of Inquisitors with mid-darker hair colours? Your Warden is lovely Panda but she has black hair, it would be interesting to see her with white or blonde, I don't think she would look anything like as good as she does.

I have a feeling that at worst, those of us with lower specs, be it on console or pc may feel restricted in the actual shade of hair colour we use in order for it to look better, it's disappointing for sure but I honestly don't think it's going to be that bad. (unless you really want to play with white hair, in which case )

 

 

Yes, I think he picked "butterscotch pudding" for his hair color. You'll be able to do better than that.

Just came back from the mall and stopped by gamestop.  Ran in, asked the guy to verify my preorder would be ready to go at mindight, etc.  Then, I started gushing about how I'm gonna wear my Cullen tee to pick up the game and then I had this elaborate meal planned because I NEED something to do while the game downloads, and I think I was hobbit-clapping the whole time because I tend to get really excited and act like a little kid and ramble uncontrollably when I am happy.  After a few minutes of just gushing to this gamestop guy, I finally realized that he was politely waiting for me to get the hell out of his way so he could help the people behind me. So I apologized and meekly moved along, but before I left, he called out "Cullen...he's like the new Alistair, right?".  I gave a big old nerd smile and a thumbs up, which he returned.

 

Ahhhh...I love how the Blight brings people together.

What is your elaborate meal? I am dieting so when ever anyone mentions food I need all the details so I can live vicariously through them.

Wish my GameStop people were like this. I went in to finish paying off my pre-order last weekend and the girl there was like gushing about a new mario game...I was like girl Cullen or Mario I am so going with Cullen. 

I actually paid a little more for my preorder to give them my business because the guys who work there are super cool to me. One guy spent like an hour talking to me about DAO once...his wife was obsessed with Alistair too, so we were joking about that. He also is the one who turned me on to Mass Effect.  I always support businesses who have awesome people!
