Randomly popping in, to say AHHHH SO EXCITED! And wondering if Cullen's been confirmed as a Companion or not? Dragon Wiki says he is confirmed companion and love interest but I know the wiki isn't always reliable. Anyone know?

Not confirmed as anything atm. Highly suggestive the adviser NPC route may have been taken with him.

Bi, maybe, I think it's because Bioware has had several BI elves in the past. Zev and Merill were both available for either gender.

 

The more I think of it, the more I think Cullen maybe BI...wasn't there a hint in one of GE tweets or something. Or am I taking that out of context?

Why the long faces guys? It looked like all the people who are companions were on the left side. Im sure Im wrong though. Ill just accept him as an NPC romance for now and see how it goes. Im excited either way though, and that trailer was AWESOME. I seriously cant wait!

Here's hoping! I word vomited a few pages back that, if the Dragon Age team was trying to make the LI as fair as possible, they'd make any NPC romances bisexual, so, it's not terribly unlikely.

Anything in particular making you think it is possible that Cullen could be a companion. I am pretty discouraged, so a thread of hope would be nice!

Nah, there was a mix. From left to right there are Companions and NPCs all mixed into the fray together

Well, there were thirteen people at the table, and one is the Inquisitor. There are nine companions, so three of them have to be NPC's. Nine of the characters are wielding weapons, three are not. Cullen, Leliana, and Scribbles are those three, and thus the current guess is that they are the NPC's.

No kidding; believe me, I've been reining it in quite a bit lol But to be honest, I'm not mad, just depressed. I mean... erm, I was depressed. But now I've instigated Operation: Hope Springs Eternal, so it's all good!

If he takes up the gay slot, I wont mind :3 but if he's straight theres no way ima romance him without feeling like I'm flirting with nick cage

I think he has the likely hood of going either way to be honest.

 

Companion, he would be excellent to have tag along, he certainly has the training. And regarding his back and current story, he has potential to have wonderful side quests. Also, I'm sure he has 'connections' and seeing him interact with NPCs could be helpful with other quests and maybe add more to the story.

 

NPC, if he's still a part of the order, or even no longer a part of it. He might have to trend lightly. Depending on his current position, or his old one, he could have some really helpful insights and info. He might plain want to stay out of it and help any other way he can though.

I hope so, but even then, I think they are more likely to have class restrictions on their romance. Maybe Cullen will be no mage romance, but DHMG, (if he is Dorian), will be mage only romance?

Hope. And the way Mike Laidlaw at the "Discover the Dragon Age" panel said that Cullen was going to be a romance option, along with Cassandra. If you can find a video of that panel, maybe you can see what I'm talking about. And also, they have not come out and said that he was not a companion.

 

I may be on a sinking ship, but I can't give up hope until the devs say it one way or another. It ain't over till the fat lady sings.

I think it would make it more interesting lol. It would make sense considering what he has been through...so in a way it would make good story telling

 

But, would be sad, I usually play as a mage lol. Mine would be a hate mance lol
