I can't take it anymore. I can't. I really need the game.
I need the game.
A friend of mine brought his computer over and helped me set up a few of my world states. It was my first time being able to even access the Keep.
I really, really need the game.

Oh my God Oh my God Oh MY GOOOOD! ![]()
You guys in Northern America are so lucky, you got Cullen tomorrow! I'm getting him this Thursday... ![]()
I can't stand this anymore, I can't, I can't... And I need to decide which PT to do, it's been changed 1000 times since Friday and now I've created the max of world state without being able to choose which one...
Just so worried on how Advisor's approval level works since it's completely opaque, I won't know how he's thinking... Am I doing my "canon" PT now or a sacrifical PT...? WAAAAAAA!!! ![]()

I know! How will we KNOW??
I'm sorry. We're sorry, we wish you guys were with us. I'm kind of in the same boat, sort of kind of, because my xbox one is delayed. I'm not going to be able to play until a few days AFTER I HAVE THE GAME IN MY HANDS.

Okay, okay. Thanks.
I feel safe here. The rest of the Bioware forums are scary. People fight there.
I might just curl up in a fetal position and observe the Cullen thread all night.

I'm just go bake some more cookies and cakes... Always works in alleviate some stress & madness ![]()
I really can't stand this anymore, if ever we can bake cookies/cakes in Skyhold, Cullen will be stuffed by cookies in a few days. What kind of cookies/Cakes he might like? I was thinking of something not so sweet, kind like oatmeal cookies with cranberries, or oatmeal-chocolate ones.
The wait is taking the toll...

This game is really getting to me. I have to be careful to remember I eat right now, because I'm not even thinking about anything else but Inquisition.
The only other times I've been like that have been before public performances. Plays, poetry readings...stuff like that.
It doesn't make sense for me to have the "forget to eat" problem over a video game...but I guess that's just how excited I am.
And I guess...There's a similar element here. This game is immersive enough that it feels like these people are real to us. And soon they will be watching, sizing us up, getting to know us, judging us... The character is going to be on a stage and under scrutiny.
And, oh maker, I care about whether I do well and that's why it's making me the same kind of nervous andohmygodijustfiguredthatout.
This is what Bioware has done to me. Just too damn good. ![]()

So, I am picking my game up at midnight tomorrow. I will likely disappear from the thread after that because I want to play my game with no spoilers and will likely be looked in like a deer in headlights.
You guys have been the most AWESOME group of folks ever!!! ![]()
As I play through, I plan to keep writing as I go and make my own, more angst-filled version of events between Ciara and Cullen. At some point, I will try to put it on the fan fiction site in case anyone wants to keep up with it. If I ever do, I will post the link here.
I leave you with this long, dialogue heavy scene for something to hopefully give you something to chew on while you wait for the game! It llkely has lotsa typos and weirdness, as it is late and I just finished it, but I will hopefully smooth it out for some point in the future. But I wanted to leave off with something for you awesome folks!!!
*Be warned, it is rather dark, so if you like peppy stuff, don't read. It is pretty depressing..."

I am still trying to figure out if my inquisitor will be human or dalish. I do not want ppl to be mean to me but at the same time I want to experience how an elf would be treated. How far will they go will she break and barley do what is necessary to save thedas or will she stand strong and never faulter from her views...and I think i just made up my mind.
Well, you just NEED to do both inevitably, don't you?
I played through Cousland twice before my sweet Tabris came along. I think playing human first and then elf second is a good idea.
The differences in how people react can be JARRING. Which is good, it makes it a remarkably different experience. It's especially interesting doing the persecuted pc second though, because it becomes almost...eye opening.

Ditto. Should I wait until I've read the game guide so I can meta my way out of this? I'm just not a fan of surprises, especially unpleasant ones....

I played human like 4 times before I played a dalish elf which I loved her. But I really am trying to figure out if I want to deal with all the nonsense that comes with being an elf first or just be the typical human hero. Though I am pretty sure no matter what an elf does in thedas the majority view will never change.
edit: I also really like the idea of Cullen with an Elf. Something about paring opposites in every sense appeals to me. Templar with a mage...human with an elf...human with a bull... it just goes on and on

I'm a bit worried too. Dx I remember reading that he is a good guy type, and that you don't necessarily need to follow his "advisor path" (all military) when romancing him. So I hope that will be enough for me to go on. I think it might break my poor little heart if I fail, though. ![]()

I definitely get that, but I have to be careful to keep myself from doing self-inserts, and I have a tendency to want to see how those other people (namely romances) react to me, the human.
To try to be more clear, at first I thought Bull with an elf. Then Bull with another Qunari...Now I think Bull with a human, because I've come to like him more and more (enough to want to romance him with a semi-self insert, which would have have to be human for me to be able to see her that way). Which means I'm now planning on about six humans and only three non-humans (one of each) ![]()
So, I admire your impulse to do something different. Mine is to be human, just because I feel more at home in that role.
Still I LOVE my Tabris, and I generally love city elves WAY more than Dalish. I understand why Elven Inquisitor has to be Dalish. There have to be some limitations...but I really miss city elf as an option.

Well said, I was also wondering between more "persecuted" PTs (Human Mage, Dalish) to Human Noble (Rogue & Warrior).

So I finally tried setting up my VPN to connect to a Korean IP address and it looks like my release date's been pushed back a whole 12+ hours. This means that, according to Origin, I'll be able to load my world state into Inquisition and start playing in a little less than 9 hours from now. Except that's around the time I have to get ready to leave for class. The last time I felt such a strong need to catapult myself off the walls was when Pokemon Crystal first released and I was barely out of elementary school. I have enough energy to smash my fist through the desk right now how am I ever going to fall asleep I cAN"T FUNCTIONL IKE THIS????
I am about thIS CLOSE to tearing a rift in the fabric of this reality to place myself in a state of being in which access to the game is already possible
For all I know I could be the very reason the Breach exists in my world state in the first place
