I suppose this is a good time for me to start my media blackout. I have to wait till Thursday after all. You will probably notice no difference. ...unless you've really enjoyed the way I've occasionally liked your posts. 

 

I just wanted to thank you all! Following your conversations have made these last few months bearable. 

 

Let's just hope I'm strong enough... I just might be here still tomorrow, liking your posts, trying to avoid all spoilers yet kinda enjoying them.

Oooo, question! So if you side with the templars you become viscount right? Since Cullen rallied the remaining templars and would have been acting knight-commnader as well as helped pick Kirkwall up from the ashes, wouldn't that mean he would have had a close working relationship with Hawke for some time before Hawke disappeared?

To be Fair, they did say multiple times There will be less ambient NPCs. I wasn't expecting This aumont (There are only the 20% of NPCs).
The weird thing is that in the first area of the game

a user calculated the numbers, and next gen got a bit more then double the numbers of NPCs...the situation seems worse later on.

 

I have seen just one reference to that. BW has been very tight lipped about old gen, I have just seen one interview. Where Cameron Lee reassured that the difference won't be big and they used potential of old gen. What they obviously haven't. That's I'm mad about, they refused to show us anything

So to all wonderful ladies and gentlemen in this thread,I think that from tomorrow I'll be taking my leave from the forums.(Tomorrow though,today I'm sticking around.)
I don't mind minor spoilers that much but if someone accidentally reveals something major,then I know it will ruin it for me.I will be getting the game alongside the rest of the UK,cross fingers that my crappy laptop will allow me to play through the prologue without exploding otherwise it will take much longer for me to come back. Everyone have fun with Cullen and the game you deserve it for waiting so patiently,I'll miss you all!

So rounding up our discussion of spoilers, it sounds like most folks are coming down on option 2 of the following:

So re-posting to continue soliciting input. 

 

So far, I've heard two primary lines of thought:

 

-- We've made it this far using spoiler tags liberally for all spoilers, let's try to make it until Friday.

 

OR

 

-- Given the expected influx of people wanting to start discussing starting Tuesday, who may or may not be our regulars, perhaps we just try our best to limit major story spoilers (which will help all folks who haven't beat the game yet or completed all endings, etc) with spoiler tags. Try to keep major spoilers tagged for, say, first two weeks??

Even in the early moments, folks won't have finished the game, so prudence in spoiler tagging things that might ruin someone's game are encouraged. But, I think discussing the game should move apace, and minor  story points should be fine. 

 

I like Raylis's suggestion of us trying to post at the top of each page a spoiler reminder/disclaimer. So, let's try that?  Something like: 

 

Please spoiler tag your significant spoilers (particularly major story arc or ending) with spoiler tags as so (removing the *):  [*spoiler] insert your message here [/*spoiler]

I actually heard it more times, but on the other hand, they did say they used all the potential of the old gen.
And yes, I think it'd have been better if they shown the old gen version. The marketing probably thought it'd have had negative effects.

Perhaps you could add  "no large story spoilers" etc. to the name of the thread for a while? Is it possible to modify headlines? That might help a little with people coming in and not knowing this thread would like to remain spoiler free as much as possible.

Looking at how it looks of cource it would have had negative effects. But better that than keep misleading customers.

LOL Yeah. What's funny is that I always imagined Knight's Bloom looking like sorta trumpet-shaped large white blooms, with little blue flowers around it. Now I can't help but picture it kinda looking like this vine on Hawke's house.

I think I didn't really notice them until someone drew fanart from Knight's Bloom and they featured... which jogged my memory that I'd seen them in game! LOL

This looks exactly like what I imagined to be the "knights bloom" perhaps a little larger.

LOL No kidding. I just laughed the first time I saw this, as those trumpet like purple flowers are almost exactly what I pictured. I could see the Orlesian gardeners collecting flowers from across Thedas.

Does anyone know exactly how to make sure your world state shows up as an option? I went to the keep and honestly I still can't figure out how to navigate that thing.

Does anyone know exactly how to make sure your world state shows up as an option? I went to the keep and honestly I still can't figure out how to navigate that thing.

Create your world state in the tapestry, once you're done, there's an export to DAI button (click the globe icon at the top and it opens a righthand menu with all your world states). Click and it uploads it to origin, giving you a green checkmark when it's done. Then... I assume that's the world state you can accept when you start the game. Does that make sense?
