I've put WAY more thought into this than I probably should.
My order:
Human Rogue.
Human Mage.
Human Warrior.
Eleven Rogue.
Qunari Mage.
Dwarven Rogue.
And then...
Several more, a little less decided.
The first two are for Cullen, and then I start working my way through the result of the love interests. I'm going to have a Lot of play throughs and I'll try to keep it fresh by trying out new specializations and personality types. There's also the wonder of headcanon (such as my blackwallmancing female champion's fixation with griffons
)
We,can have ALL of the things, and there will be ridiculous amounts or replay value. I definitely get why someone would want to start with a non-human for the novelty. I just love to go with human first so that being an elf...or a qunari...Will be even more surprising an experience when the time comes.
I'm just SO excited.
Oooh same here! I got around 7 planned (one for each world state). I think I'll do a human rogue like you, since for self insert it's easier. And also, if you're doing without guide for first PT, normally Human Noble (especially in Da:O) the world might be nicer to you & so it might be easier. Then after first PT where we already know better the effects & consequences, we can start playing mage which (IMO) will be much trickier to do considering the socio-political situation of Thedas.
Me too cos for my first playthrough I am uploading a world state where Hawke ultimately sided with the templars and it would just look odd if Cullen and Hawke weren't on familiar terms with one another.
Here, something for consideration, get it from Vieralynn's tumblr. NOT A SPOILER, just because the image is too big.
I'm completely agree with her. It's interesting to do the templar ending in DA:2 because of this and that awesome music and getting Cullen on one knee... oh my, my Lady Hawke was waiting for a ring...
So rounding up our discussion of spoilers, it sounds like most folks are coming down on option 2 of the following:
I'm thinking discussion begins tomorrow. When is tomorrow? I guess morning North America time? Pleasepleaseplease everyone, let's try to continue to tag major spoilers. Even in the early moments, folks won't have finished the game, so prudence in spoiler tagging things that might ruin someone's game are encouraged. But, I think discussing the game should move apace, and minor story points should be fine.
I like Raylis's suggestion of us trying to post at the top of each page a spoiler reminder/disclaimer. So, let's try that? Something like:
Please spoiler tag your significant spoilers (particularly major story arc or ending) with spoiler tags as so (removing the *): [*spoiler] insert your message here [/*spoiler]
Additional concerns or thoughts??
Additional thoughts: let's make a topic in spoiler's group for people to discuss freely about game starting Tuesday? in that one, NO ONE ADD FURTHER SPOILER... Or just make another "start discuss game tuesday" group.
