Say Eric, you're well versed in Thedosian lores, does Qunari have God or things like that? Elves have their Creators, Humans the Maker, Dwarfs have Ancestors. Qunaris have the Qun but I'm not sure about them having a superior being that they believe in, something/someone that fulfill the roles of God.

 

Their "religion" is more of a philosophy and set of societal laws. They have a founder, and leaders, but no God figure.

Ooh, I didn't know about the Hissra = Illusion thing,

I did know about how they're very dismissive of such "superstitions nonsense" as gods. The only superstition they're known to favor is how those who never grow horns are expected to achieve significant things, because they're special snowflakes.

I don't get how that superstition can really function without any deity of any kind to grant the marker to them....but I guess logic isn't generally a big hallmark of superstition.

Fun fact. The Qunlat word for a deity, 'hissra', literally means 'illusion'.

The Qun is very much an eastern sort of religion. While it is non-theistic, it is a religion IMO. To me it seems like a militant version of taoism.

Word! One of my most indelible memories from Number One Son's infancy was rushing to play DA:O during nap times. 

Umm, my kids were babies before I owned a PC . I got a 3rd hand Xerox desktop when the youngest was about 1 - the HD was a whopping 25 mg, and we had 3 games on it . Might and Magic 1, the original (CGA) Battletech game and some dos game that was text only. But I used naps for other things, like designing characters for tabletop RPGs.
