I started playing this morning right before I had to pack up and leave for class. The Inquisition button is sitting right here on my taskbar and BY THE MAKER'S ROSY BUTTCHEEKS it IS taking alLLL OF MY FREAKING WILLPOWER TO NOT CLICK IT AND START PLAYING IN CLASS RIGHT NOW

You can do it! And believe me, if you're doing something like that in class, it'd be noticed. People don't get that excited or happy about lectures

Just called my local EB Games to confirm that yes, I can pick up DA:I tonight at 9:01pm! Yeah for Pacific Time! And my husband agreed to drive me since I'm still sick. Probably won't get to do much more than the character creator tonight since I have three kids and other stuff that needs doing. But it means that tomorrow I can play all day while they're at school. Oh, and I put my Jar of Bees Tutorial up this morning, too! Picture of cute bees in a jar under the tag - for size.

Just called my local EB Games to confirm that yes, I can pick up DA:I tonight at 9:01pm! Yeah for Pacific Time! And my husband agreed to drive me since I'm still sick. Probably won't get to do much more than the character creator tonight since I have three kids and other stuff that needs doing. But it means that tomorrow I can play all day while they're at school. My download time has jumped to 317hrs omfg :DD peak time atm though, it should speed up some overnight. I joked about hopefully being able to play for Xmas, if that speed kept up I wouldn't be far off lol.

Yes, so glad to be on the West Coast for once - my local Gamestop is releasing it at 9pm as well, and I can get my place in line at 6 (thankfully they're giving out numbers so we don't have to stand in line that whole time)!!!

 

Don't know how I'll make it through the rest of the work day...less than 10 hours and I can start creating my Aislinn Treveylan!!!  I do have to be in to work early Tuesday, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to stop myself at creating her or if I'll cave and play some and thus be a zombie at work most of that day - at least I don't have any meetings to run. 

 

I probably won't be in much other than skimming, but I wanted to say what a wonderful thread this is and what lovely people are here.  Wonderful conversations, lots and lots and lots of Cullen and I've still be able to stay spoiler free to the extent that I've wanted to.  Not many of my close friends are gamers, so it's great to be able to come here and discuss our favorite obsession(s). 

 

I've added a bunch of people on Twitter, and you all are welcome to add me - I'm @TeganJ42.  I'll see if I can remember to save a screenshot of Aislinn so I can share her.

So... word of advice from someone who just had a mini heart-attack...

 

Before you open the game, make sure to update your drivers. You don't want the wonderful experience of trying to load the game only to be met with a pop up that says "lol ur graphics card not supported bye" and shuts everything down like, neener neener no Dragon Age for you.

 

Update your drivers, folks.

Does anyone know whether we'll need internet connection to be able to play the game? Mine's suck so I bought the DVD version (no need to download, yeah!).
