That's noteable. Especially because poor Iron Bull's only thread is at 42 pages and it's been going for almost a month!

WAIT WAIT WAIT I mean that Cullen has never been in a position of leadership, but you could argue that he is prominent in his field simply because of the things he experienced. That said, so could the Warden, because we know nothing about him.

I just happen to mostly post in the Cullen thread.
Yeah, "pile of goo" is pretty much the way to describe it.
I read it more than once, believe me. If I'd known about or had access to the voiced version, I'm not sure I would have been able to go on.
I might or might not kept the letter in the unread section for a whole game just in case it would affect me3 
And of course when I came back to feed the fishy I would browse my unread section
I like this a lot but I ran out of them again lol! Yeah I get a little bummed every time I hear "He's gonna be a npc!" Which is weird because every time someone said "not gonna be a romance." I Was totally fine! I was so sure he would be a romance but I don't have that same gut reaction for companion argh!
Well, the facts do seem to be panning out against the notion of his being a companion. I can't deny that is a painful admission to make, but I'm at the same time so happy we know that he has a fairly substantial role and that I'm going to get the chance to know him better. Much, much better. 
And if it turns out that he's a follower after all, then I just get to celebrate with a little more gusto.

Speaking of Cullen fanfiction, I'm actually writing a raunchy!Cullen story right now for page 500 (1000?), if all goes well. I'm loving it so far. I do find it a bit hard to finish, but, then again, I don't think I've ever finished any of my original stories. Hopefully I can get this one done. (This is my first fanfiction ever, so please be gentle.)
I also started a "comfort" story starring Cullen and my Inquisitor, Asha Trevelyan. Kinda sad. I was planning on posting both at the same time so the feelings balance each other out.

As for speculating about whether Cullen could be a companion or not (with the new info we have)... I don't even know anymore. I'm confused, and am not fond of non-follower romances at all, but I'm just gonna wait for additional official info at this point. I can only take so much speculation before it becomes completely exhausting! 
No, I don't think that holds for Cullen. At the end of DA2 he would have been the acting Knight Commander of Kirkwall, now Kirkwall admittedly is a complete nightmare of a place but it's still a leadership role. (Actually Knight Captain is also a leadership role.)
All Beardy has to be to fit the criteria is a Warden from somewhere who has been in command of other Wardens in an outpost somewhere or he might even be a Warden Commander of X before the start.
Hmm, but does that count? I mean, do we know Cullen was Knight Commander? It would be logical to assume that. And being Knight Commander of the Gallows would be pretty impressive.

I would say we have no idea. Sure, he was acting Knight Commander for the span of at least, what, 10 minutes while you killed Meredith (prob longer on Nightmare ). After Hawke split Kirkwall/became Viscount/ess...? Who knows how long that lasted.
