2 hours until I can play the game and it's killing me lol
I keep checking it hoping it unlocks early ... seriously.
For those playing it I have one question if you don't mind - my mum is really looking forward to it but is reading the suggestion forum and
getting more and more depressed. She can't use WSAD for more than a few minutes because of the stroke awhile back - weakness in
left hand and pain.
Is she royally screwed? It seems like she won't be able to play at all?
I've been hearing that the PC interface is a complete mess. Can someone who's playing it let me know if this is the case? I can always plug in a controller but I've never used one except for the Access trial and I found them next to impossible but I suppose like anything else you learn these skills. If the mouse/keyboard is functional at all I'd prefer to go that way but I just don't know how counter intuitive they are. I'd appreciate any advice.

For myself, I don't really like it, but it's OK. I'm having a hard time managing my party. My hands aren't used to finding CTRL for pause, so I'm constantly flailing during battle. I end up just faking it and click fighting instead of being strategic. And I can't remember what half the buttons are at the bottom. Hold party isn't working well, so I've given up on drawing in enemies for ambush. But all that could just be me getting used to it, as opposed to it being the interface itself.
TBH, PC always had tactical mode... I wish they hadn't monkeyed with it. :/
The thing I don't like on PC is that my mouse sometimes disappears and I have to use the number keys in the dialogue. Which works if it's a dialogue with numbers.

) so folks know if it's safe or not. ) I'm sad panda for everyone having tech problems. Doubly sad for PS3 players (that would be sad!Cullen sad).

I think she can reset the keybindings, and you can use a game controller with the PC version, I think.

She can't use a controller, she has tried for other things but her hands cramp up quickly.
She can't really use the keyboard for movement at all. Everything she plays has holding down both mouse buttons for movement - which is the only thing she has been able to do for movement in games.
She managed to play ME3 for about 10 minutes before her left hand couldn't take any more
Anyone noticed any differences in talks/romance with Cullen when you play a mage?

Yes, there is different lines if the Inquisitor is a mage not much from what I encounter.

R2 - I've read you can reset the key bindings, intuitively it should be somewhere in the options menu. So bind that pause straight back to the spacebar! Did you find the controls were adequately explained because I believe you can't just click on things to walk anymore and tab doesn't highlight etc. My game doesn't unlock for another two hours and I already have this sinking feeling that I'm going to be completely confused by the controls.
Oh, I know I can rebind. But there's no useable solution. If I do that, then I can't jump with the spacebar. So I'd never jump because there's no more intuitive button for that (I use WASD for moving).
The tab key will cycle through targets, which can include collectables. There's a search function I use alot like the old tab, that does the highlighting within a certain radius. With those two together, it's basically the same.
I am sad you can't click on a spot and walk. But for me, the combat is much worse.
p.s. Forgot to address "adequately explained". Not really. I usually just look through the key map to find out what controls what. The search function was well explained. I think I may need to actually read the guide on combat movement, but for now, I'm just faking it.
Thanks for the infoI played 4 hours on the 360. The graphics are slightly better then the first two games, and honestly I'm ok with that for a last Gen console. One day I'll have it for PC as well. I have the disc copies, every once a ND a while the game freezes or the sound affects don't sync, the load screens are really long, bur other then that I'm ok with this.

I changed a few keybinds to match up with my MMO keybinds (1. to keep me in practice for my MMO healing and 2 because I was subcounciously reaching for those particular keys to spam the ability)
I rebound v (the search) to e so as I awsd I just spam E along. I put the looting to F so I don;t have to move my hand too much. Having it on mouse really bothered me. I have to say that using the controller is easier but I want to get used to KB/M commands. I'm really awkward with controllers.
Also, game is amazing and Cullen blows my mind. They done guud.
I have a mouse with over 12 additional buttons, I am already not playing mmo`s, still I always assign these additional buttons to for single player.
It suits me more than Ctrl+, Alt+, I cannot already bend fingers this way

Well, I'll find out soon. I'm just getting over anxious about it all, I think. I've been looking forward to the game for so long that I guess I'm just freaking every time I read someone saying that this doesn't work or that's clunky. It'll be ok and worse come to worse I'll shove it down to casual and spam auto attack.
I ordered the guide, so hopefully it will arrive in a couple of days and any useful tips on combat it has I'll pass on, if it's helpful.

The Xbox pro. The one with the largest hard drive. The initial instal took about 20-25 mins. I found that the first cut scene looked odd, but the more I play the better everything seems to be getting. There was two times I had to restart the Xbox, and a few weird bugs here and there. But all in all I'm satisfied. I brought the lighting up, picked a dark hair and tan skin. I'm on normal mode.
