Are you still going to buy it for the PS3? Having bought it myself, I wish I'd just waited and saved up for a PS4. Its just not the same, really. Playable, certainly, but I know that I'm missing all the pretty graphics and that irks me. I haven't played it since the first day. Just kind of disappointed. I'm actually more excited about watching spoiler videos on youtube. To make up for this, my dream is now to play on PC w/ ultra settings in the summer.  :D

I think I will buy it at some point on PS3. I'm not ready to move on PS4 yet, the console is so new that the price hasn't dropped enough and I have tons of games still play on PS3. I'm very conflicted what I want to do, do I want to wait until the patches kick in and game actually looks and plays like it's supposed on PS3 and price drop or do I just buy it some point cause I can't wait anymore ^^; I kinda want to just play it right now but I don't want to be disappointed.

Geez, already well over 20 hours of gameplay in and I still have tons of stuff to do in the Hinterlands ... It's like the Energizer region. It keeps going and going and going! I am slowly progressing the main story, but the stupid cutscene crashes make the Hinterlands more attractive because I can actually play there.

And that means no flirting. :(

Finally remembered to save the screenshots of Aislinn.  Spoiler tagged due to size.  Version one ended up being a little too light on the hair color and by the title screen I knew the non-moving ponytail would really start to bug me, so the hair style and color are the biggest changes, and the second one is how she looks now.  I also added more freckles so she looks a bit more like me.  My husband has been teasing me that she looks a lot like my Shepard did.  :P   Other than playing around with eye color I do tend to have a certain look to my PCs (even my DnD PC has a similar look - although with longer hair - come to think of it).

Spoiler

I don't wander too far from the defaults except for playing around with the eye color, but over all I'm really happy with her.

I paid 64 US dollars for the game w/ tax and I just don't think it was worth it for me. The "I must play it now" feels wore off after I'd played it for a few hours. If you get it on PS3, think about the price first (I don't think its fair to charge the same as next gen. version now) and really think about your expectations w/ the graphics.

Yeah, I have sections I have to go back to because they were too difficult earlier on.  What system are you on?  I've only gotten the conversation glitches (where it hangs up and won't move on) a few times on the PS4 and it does seem to progress after a little bit.  The first time it hung up I thought it was because the game wanted to let me stare at Dorian filling up the widescreen for awhile.

I understand. I'm grateful that The EU release was a few days after (though I would've preferred to Not wait another day), because playing it Possibly with the problems Some people have would've really disappointed me. At least now I know What it could happen.

I'd be fine if the game looks like I saw in the YT videos, in all honesty, even if I know It's far worse then next gen and PC.

Not story or Cullen related, but can I just say that I freaking love Fade Step?  I am loving being able to zip around the battlefield (as long as I remember not to point myself at a corner).  My current favorite thing to do is Fade Step away when the melee enemies get too close, then turn around and use fire AoE on them (with or without a Mind Blast before flying away).  I can't wait until I can add the KE specialization to the mix.

Morning everyone. :)

So, I totally cracked and spoiled myself last night by watching a vid of a scene I haven't reached yet. I wish I hadn't now, because the surprise factor in these games can never be underestimated. But it's good incentive not to watch any other scenes, right??

In other news, it looks like my Inquisitor's Edition is FINALLY due to be delivered tomorrow. Gamestop really messed up on how those orders worked, let me tell you. Hope I can get a good chunk of the extra $60 I paid for the regular game back when I take it in to trade.

@zestalyn *sigh* imagination running wild while I make up the cutest/most awkward scenes with my *soon to be had* quizzy and cullen...

In other news, I totally went out and checked for a new PC, just checked. Prices, stats and such. To be honest, my computer is, like, 10 years old now, can barely run any game on minimum settings so.... Would it be so bad to retire him? He's been through a lot, me shouting at him for crashing, getting too hot so I have to pause the game, whathaveyou^^ Could be like... late birthday present/early christmas present, right? Right?

Yea I was going to pay 70 euros for it tomorrow which would have been 88 dollars I think just for the regular edition but I'm not getting it for that price. I'm sad I lost my reservation price though which was 10 euros : / I still won't want the game as it seems to be right now so I'm waiting for the price drop and some bug fixed before playing.

I'm on a PC, so I have the DirectX CTD issue. The Conversation glitches I can fix by reducing the game to windowed mode and them bringing it back up to full screen. For some reason, that usually gooses it along, and for reason, it also seem to glitch on the same conversations. I only know that because I ran the prologue three times before getting a Quizzie I could stand to look at in the game. It always glitched on the Roderick convo.

The way people are describing it kind of reminds me of whirlwind sprint from skyrim which would be equally awesome and lethal since I always found a way to sprint myself of a cliff

Ofc, gifts for yourself are never wrong :D If you know someone with a little pc know-how, it may work out cheaper and better to get one built. I only just got a new pc 1.5 ago, my old one was about 10years old too lol you do kind of get attached to them, mine still behaved itself but more and more games I tried, it just coughed and farted at me and told me I had no chance lol so I eventually got one built, still miss my old one though ;)

I'd say it's sort of like that but not as disorienting (I always save before using whirlwind sprint because I'm usually using it to get to some ledge or something and am worried about falling off).  So far, Fade Step has been carrying me far enough across the battlefield to get away from anyone engaging me and I can then quickly pan back around and target them from the far side of the field.  I haven't tried it while on something like a bridge or cliff, however, so I will likely be more careful at first when I do!

@Iceyone Yeah, that's the problem^^ No one I know has any knowledge about building a pc from scratch. My brother spent hours installing a new graphics card to my trusty old pc a few years ago, nearly destroyed him O_o (I wont go anywhere near the insides of him, except for cleaning purposes *brothers idea, though the dust that settles there is just.... :o*)

So, pre-built it is, for me. This one was also, and can be upgraded^^

As for the attachment... I know what you mean. Had to bring him to the pc-doctors a few times cause he was sick with.... ummm.... broken stuff (don't remember anymore^^) and always awaited his return anxiously :D Gonna be sad to let him go, we've been through a lot, all the games we shared together..... *I totally sound like some weirdo now, I suppose o_O #sorrynotsorry I love my PC :D*

Admission time...........I kept my old, empty case/tower :D it's upstairs in the spare room doing absolutely nothing except gather dust but it seems quite happy lol.

I'm hopeless with pcs too, power on/off is about the total sum of my knowledge lol if something acts a bit dicky - restart :D

There are some cracking pre-mades out there! I hope you'll treat yourself soon and get into game :).

So I flirted with Cullen for giggles. By how it sounds, I feel like I'm harassing the guy, to be honest.

I've grown a bit since the olden times where I was too scared to even start my (at the time) brand new, best of the best, custom build pc^^ When I started him up the first time and dared to play a game I totally panicked and pressed the reset button cause I didn't know how to exit the game

Now.... well, if something isn't working as intended, google is there for all my silly questions and has helped a lot, I can install drivers and such, but in the end.... If he's not working.... *sadpanda* WHY? Didn't I treat you right? Why would you do this?

Will have to check on my funds and somesuch and maybe..... maybeeeeee if I can convince my brother to look at the little beauty I have my eyes on, and if he approves.... I'll get it. Gonna be sad to retire the old one, but still.... You're just not up to the task, my dear. *just want to have my romance with that one templar, been waiting for years to romance him, so step aside*  (so sorry old boy  )

BTW: No info on  cullen totally ninjamancing the quizzy? Anyone?

Can't happen, unless you constantly flirt with him and don't romance anyone else.

*sigh* too bad :(

Was hoping for something like.... dunno^^

Quizzy entering his.... office or meeting him in the garden or something and he starts to stutter, act nervous and totally awkward. Then, out of the blue, he uses the makers/andrastes name in vain *hopefully spelled right^^* and steals the first kiss   and the quizzy just :o   <--- unless I give in to temptation and check out youtube (surely theres some romances on there already^^) this will be my headcanon for now

So after like 40 hours of getting derailed by exploration I decided to just focus on the main quest, and finally met Hawke. It's... something special seeing my girls together.

Also, slight Sebastian spoiler if any Seb romancer hasn't got here yet and is curious about their fate:

And to keep it on topic with Cullen...
