Hmmm... I did get this line with a Cousland Warden import too, but I didn't this was about the Warden at all? It didn't even ocurr me he could be talking about the Warden, honestly. Because he's replying to a flirty question, but mostly because of the tone of voice Greg used (the emphasis on Kirkwall), I assumed this was about the Inquisitor - like he was saying no one caught his interest back in Kirkwall, while implying that the Inquisitor's caught his interest now. "Not in Kirkwall, but here...."

 

I suppose the only way to know what this was about is ask him the same question with a male Inquisitor? If he's talking about the Warden he should give the same reply, if not he should answer something else... or not answer at all.

 

Eh, I'm gonna choose to interpret this line as being about the Inquisitor anyway. His crush on the mage Warden was cute for the five minutes it lasted, but hanging on to a crush over ten years later slides deep into creepy stalker obsession, and I don't like the picture of a Cullen still obsessing over Surana/Amell a decade later. It's not so much romantic as it is... scary. I prefer to go with, yeah it was a long time ago, he's over it, he falls for the Inquisitor in completely healthy terms, and their relationship has no creepy second-best undertones.   

 

That's fine, it seems like most people interpret it as being directed towards the Inquisitor anyway. I was thinking of it as her asking

"No one special caught your interest?" as in "did no-one catch your interest in the past?" and I figured he was just answering truthfully, not saying that he was still in love with the Warden. This is still fairly early in the romance with the Inquisitor and judging by how flustered he still was when you flirted with him in Haven it's a bit strange that he'd be so flirty right after expressing his heartfelt regret at not being able to protect the Inquisitor from what just happened to her. I feel like he's interested at this point but that he isn't yet willing to be so direct about it, especially when you consider what he says when you first initiate the romance (which I won't spoil). But you're right, he doesn't appear to mention it the same way when you speak about it with a male qunari, so I guess I might be wrong.

Ok I'm actually really satisfied with the game on 360. My only issue really is the black loading screen. Omg 4 mins was the longest one. Could have left it so that I could read those cards, would have like that way better.

and I just started the romance... loads of squeeing happened... loads... lol

So far its perfect... His character is definitely right, fits, and the romance/flirts so far have been great.

 

Oh and mums been able to play using the mouse to steer so she has to just press the W button... buts its a lot to remember and she is getting confused easy.

 

I don't mind the controls. I know some hate them but they seem fine to me. but thats just me... though it is annoying have to manually walk up to everything to loot

South of the North Gate Camp, you'll find the ruins of a destroyed town. You can pick up a quest there from a demon there, who'll send you into a cave that eventually leads into a small part of a ruined Thaig.

 

Of course I immediately got lost and started running in circles, because that's just what you do in the Deep Roads.

Cullen looks pale and sick, like he has been hitting the lyrium too often. He also looks completely different than in previous games.

 

What is the verdict on new sickly Cullen?

I've been wandering around the Hinterlands a lot, and then got sidetracked on the Storm Coast too, so I was around 21-22 hours in before I reached Skyhold last night.  No one has complained at me about not following the main storyline in a timely manner yet and I've built up a lot of influence and elfroot this way.

Wow, it seems the Hinterlands and the other areas are definitely easy to get sidetracked by. But then again, that's one of the appealing parts of the game, since it lets you fully immerse yourself in the world around you. Definitely can't wait to get adventuring and romancing, of course! Hopefully only another 10 hours or so to go for me.

Arg! I can't get Skyhold. The cut scene where you get it is so long that it keeps crashing my game because of the DirectX bug. I've tried various things to get through it 4 times now. I wish there were some save points in there so I could do it in stages or something. Now, I feel like I can't progress the game at all.

Too easy, even. If you don't force yourself to stop exploring at some point and just focus on the main quest for a while, you'll find yourself wandering around forever. I was over twenty hours into the game before I even started getting followers, I'm over 40 hours now and only just into the beginnings of Act 2. People have finished the game twice already and I've barely just got to Skyhold for the first time. It can be pretty overwhelming.

I can see myself being there for a long time just with picking herbs

But I guess for my first playthrough, it won't be too bad getting caught up in the exploring, at least to begin with. I'll just need to use Cullen, and his promise of romance to get me moving on in the story after the initial exploration.

Actually five is the right number for me ^^ But it paid off because I'm totally in love with the way he looks.

Yup. Coincidentally, I had Cassandra, Cole and Solas in the party at the time, and they all had special dialogue options with the demon, so that was a really funny conversation.

 

How are you enjoying the story/romance so far?

 

I'm really enjoying the story so far. Some surprises that left me with a strange taste in my mouth (but in a good "this is great storytelling" way), some surprises that made me fist pump into the air in joy, some moments that made me go whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat... and I'm only in the beginnings of Act 2. If the rest of the game is this good... damn.

 

I'm loving my Inquisitor, too. There are so many ways to roleplay your character with all the dialogue options you're given, I feel like I can really shape her up the way I want to.

 

As for the romance... I haven't actually started it yet. Or the real romance part, at least. I've flirted a lot with Cullen, but like I said, I've been moving reaaaaally slow, so I'm really behind most people. I've abandoned exploration for now because I really wasn't going anywhere, right now I'm trying to just focus on the main quest and see if that advances things with Cullen and a certain other companion who still hasn't joined me (and I'm beginning to worry about now). Hopefully in the next day or two I'll get to the real meat of the romance, and then I'll be squeeing loud enough that everyone will know.
