I'm really enjoying the story so far. Some surprises that left me with a strange taste in my mouth (but in a good "this is great storytelling" way), some surprises that made me fist pump into the air in joy, some moments that made me go whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat... and I'm only in the beginnings of Act 2. If the rest of the game is this good... damn.

I'm loving my Inquisitor, too. There are so many ways to roleplay your character with all the dialogue options you're given, I feel like I can really shape her up the way I want to.

As for the romance... I haven't actually started it yet. Or the real romance part, at least. I've flirted a lot with Cullen, but like I said, I've been moving reaaaaally slow, so I'm really behind most people. I've abandoned exploration for now because I really wasn't going anywhere, right now I'm trying to just focus on the main quest and see if that advances things with Cullen and a certain other companion who still hasn't joined me (and I'm beginning to worry about now). Hopefully in the next day or two I'll get to the real meat of the romance, and then I'll be squeeing loud enough that everyone will know.

Gosh, I can't wait. I've heard great things about the story from what I've read online but my brother was reading some that we're less enthusiastic about it, but I guess that's the same for everything. Some people will love it and others not so much. I for one, slightly biased, think I'll enjoy it no matter what as it incorporates all the things I enjoy in games. And well, it's Dragon Age! Ahh, I really hope my game arrives tomorrow morning!

What race/class did you go with for your Inquisitor? That's another thing I can't wait to get started on. I feel like I'll be spending hours in the CC and setting up my character. I love how they've added so many small quirks in the CC to make your character more unique (if you want to).

I feel like my Inquisitor will be all over Cullen... yet I feel like my virtual player ways will interfere since just reading about certain characters has resulted in me having a weak spot for them too. Hopefully I'll be able to squee along with you! I'm so ready to dive in now.

I’m scrambling for spoilers to see how I can plan out my characters stories. Was hoping Cullen's romance had a platonic route. Not going to be that upset if its isn't though.

So are you enjoying the game, tactics and PC controls aside?  I'm looting like a bandit.  I'm stuck in the Hinterlands collecting stuff.  I'm NEVER leaving - all the elfroot and iron will be MINE.  My daughter just complained that I'd never get anywhere in the game if I didn't stop picking up crap and actually go and fight someone.  Apparently l'm boring her.  

 

PS - HERESY, Cullen in all his incarnations is a total honey and in this one he's practically perfect!  Pale, my arse - he's beautiful!!!!  See above picture, he's on a horse!

That and the lyrium scene broke my heart!I'm so worried about poor Cullen and that lyrium business.Also OMG they used a table,not the war table but still,it will be a huge challenge to romance anyone else at this point!

during prologue: "Oh, her lips are too pink, and why do her eyes look googly? Well, it's fine. I've just got to get into the game. I can't keep going back."

 

after prologue: "I can't it. I hate looking at her. Alright, new game it is,"

Well I know for Skyrim every time you hit "printscreen" it saves a new file somewhere. So I can take multiple screenshots at a time then go grab them later. I wonder if DAI will do something similar.

During the prologue with my current (AND FINAL) character I noticed the lip liner in a close-up... I wasn't trying to actually make him look like he was wearing make-up, but I was trying to make his lips a more natural color (instead of the bright red default). So I guess Auren Lavellan's little secret is that he wears lip liner lol

I wasn't too sure if I should talk about it here so I went and posted in the spoiler thread instead, but for those who aren't afraid of this minor bit about the Warden, I'm going to put my thoughts in a tag below:

Apparently you get this conversation whether you import a female mage warden state or not, but when first entering Skyhold, you have the option to ask him about whether he's with anyone on the dialogue wheel. Your quizzy then specifically asks if he left anyone behind in Kirkwall - he says no. Then she asks if no one had caught his interest, and he replies very specifically, "Not in Kirkwall." Given the context of the question (asking about his past relationships) this leads me to believe that he doesn't want to mention the Warden by name, but that he's implying that he was once interested in someone NOT in Kirkwall and that person could very well have been the potential mage warden.

 

Eluvianus Rex brought up the fact that, canonically, all the potential wardens in DAO exist at once and just meet terrible fates if they aren't the one you selected. That means that, she was there and he was with her even if she wasn't your Warden.

Rest I just restart right after prologue. Either too much make up or not enough make up or lip too far from nose,cheek to thin. But main reason always is "not hot enough for Cullen". *sign...I need help...

Ha! That's exactly why I do it too. Can't have my girl romancing him when she's just not hot enough for him!

It does save it in your Dragon Age Inquisition folder, there's another folder called "screenshots".

as much sad I felt when he kept having his nightmares and his pain over lyrium withdrawals, it is actually rather realistic reaction given what he's gone through in his life. I so hope that there's no bad ending for Cullen and your quizzie

 

I love the romance storyline, the build up to the end romance scene. It's very sweet journey. So yeah, I love you Cullen character writer, whoever you are. Thanks for Cullen.
