I've been following this thread for a while and everyone seems nice, so maybe it's time I come out of the shadows.
Started with a female human warrior and am romancing Cullen. It's pretty good so far. Only just established the relationship after 30 hours.

I have a question. If you choose the mages over the templars and so get Cullen's red lyrium quest, do you have to finish that before his personal quests trigger? Or doesn't that matter?

On the save/load screen it says how many hours you have played.

I play on the xbox one and it has the hours right next to the name of the save. I don't know if it's somewhere else for the PC.

Just wanted to tell you guys “Hi” and no, I’ve not disappeared or anything. I decided to try to avoid everyone else’s impressions until I’d finished my first playthrough. It is taking me forever because I’m taking my time and trying savor everything. I have all the settings maxed out, and Dear Maker, this game is beautiful on my new computer! I tend to wander off and get distracted from my quests by just looking around. A lot. EEEEeeee! I will say that Cullen is amazing  , and there are some issues I wanted explored that are going just as I imagined. Of course, that’s middle-of-the-game Macy talking.  I’ve not read anything on the thread recently, and I’ll be back to catch up when I’m done w/ this first go ‘round.

I spoke too soon. She emerged from her lair, er bedroom, to say she finally sided with the mages AND killed the Hinterland dragon, for about 25 hours of gameplay so far

 

So you'll be able to tell us what type of armour upgrade dragon scale gives then? Sounds like she is having fun.

 

I sent my nephew a copy of the game...he has developed a thing about Dorian. LOL.

When I saw first gamelpay videos I thought: "Meh, the animations and facial expression are so dull"... But after playing the game I realized how wrong was I. Voice acting, gestures and facial expressions are wonderful, made my heart go "doki-doki" so many times.

Having tried all of the chess scene variants...I felt that the 'Garrus  shooting match romance option' was optimal for the scene...courtesy of Fluffy Ninja Llama video on youtube. Love the smirk at the end. Chess scene spoiler.

Question: whether missions of companions are similar to ME2? will they leave me or something bad will happen because I didn't do their tasks?

Just recruited Sera and Vivienne. Now I'm going to talk with everyone at Haven and then I'll go in the Storm coast to recruit Bull .
It seems I didn't get the Bug of Cullen not being in his spot at have. .

You know, I was a little taken back by how Cullen treated that poor soldier. I literally thought to myself, "dear lord! I hope he's not one of those guys who's charming in the beginning of the relationship, but then turns out to be a wife-beating ******* once he's got you trapped in a marriage." He seemed pretty aggressive. Of course I looked past it.

I`ve  planned romances with other companions, but from what I read (is`s not for me) it looks like that I won't leave Cullen in next games, maybe for Dorian I can make an exception he`s wonderful

He seems too sweet of a guy to do that idk... maybe he acted like that cause... "alpha male" type of thing... and he was mad cause that guy ruined the moment altho im wondering how he will continue to act now that i fed him lyrium hopefully not too bad...  

 

That and it will be a cold day in hell before anyone can beat my quizzie if she defeated THE BIG BAD there is no way Cullen will win .

Hi everyone! Another lurking Cullenite came from the shadows to briefly share my impressions. 

Cullen’s such adorable sweet dork when romanced!   I squee everytime he and my Inquisitor interact. Got only to the first kissing scene and it is such a treat. I totally didn’t reload it 4 times to try all the conversation options, and I absolutely didn’t record every flirting scene in Fraps  (okay, I actually did).

 

I planned to romance Blackwall in the second playthrough, but I’ll have a very hard time romancing anyone but Cullen. He’s just everything I've dreamed he would be. Mature, reasonable, rigorous on the outside, but romantic and tender with his beloved.   Can’t wait to get back home to revel in more delicious scenes with Commander. Thanks so much to Brianne Battye for excellent writing and delivering all the feels!

Indeed. It's sort of... uncanny, actually. I must say... I laughed that Cullen's sister used the phrase 'fool's errand.' LOL

Count me in too Cullen's romance was amazing everything i ever wanted from it, it had passion angst happy moments EVERYTHING his writter  did an amazing job imo

Honestly, I did when I first saw it, then I replayed the scene:

I've worked as someone's aide, and you do not walk in on your boss in a conversation with someone and not stop to make certain you aren't interrupting something important unless it's on the level of "the building's on fire!" or "there's an archdemon circling Skyhold and an army at the gate!" How that aide actually knew Cullen was there but somehow managed to miss his hands on her waist and how close their faces were brings the meaning of "oblivious" to whole new levels. After that, I just wrote it off to a classic drill sergeant glare telling someone they screwed up badly.
