We should do something special to thank Brianne for writing Cullen in such a special way, especially his romance. It's like she was lurking in the thread the whole time, figuring out how to make us happy.

I'm in. For me, he's gone from a character I found fascinating but not necessarily that interesting to what I think is going to be one of my favorite romances in DA.

yes, that's pretty much what the conversations and the dialogue choices say. I have to say it's done right, in that there's no sign of it being abusive or manipulative and he firmly respects limits, but it took me by surprise that they went there that openly. Oddly enough, I like him much more as a companion than I expected, but his romance calls for an inquisitor's personality pretty contrary to those I prefer to play.

Honestly, I did when I first saw it, then I replayed the scene:

I've worked as someone's aide, and you do not walk in on your boss in a conversation with someone and not stop to make certain you aren't interrupting something important unless it's on the level of "the building's on fire!" or "there's an archdemon circling Skyhold and an army at the gate!" How that aide actually knew Cullen was there but somehow managed to miss his hands on her waist and how close their faces were brings the meaning of "oblivious" to whole new levels. After that, I just wrote it off to a classic drill sergeant glare telling someone they screwed up badly.

I really can't help but think that although you guys are joking, that she really did spy on our wee thread here, so many aspects of his character and romance are just as most of us had hoped and discussed at length & ofc "Fools Errand" *cough, cough* . If there was no influence from us atall, some of you are just uncannily spot on with how you perceived him from what little facts you knew! Either way, he is awesome .

Haven´t been here for a while and I´m not finished with the game yet but I have to say that Cullen´s romance might be one of my favorite Bioware romances, which is sort of funny considering that I had no interest in him in the previous games,just found his character arc interesting. But damn his romance is good!   Btw,do you guys know where you can find mage armor schematics?

Just finished the game and holy moly. This is epic and I just LOVED his romance (my fanfiction senses are tingling!). I squealed the entire way hahaha.

I just couldn't help but to miss some plot points (like Wicked Grace).. does anyone else had that feeling?

I don't think there are new dialogues after that mini quest, so if you maxed anyone out before that they won't have anything new to say.

LOL. Honestly, we know the devs do lurk over the course of the last 3 yrs, altho when Mary Kirby has stopped by recently, she always said it was to collect fanart for his writer. I always figured BB (Altho we didn't know who she was at the time) was a bit scared of us... For which, I wouldn't blame her!

Either way, I'm just gonna sit here and feel very perceptive! (And just a little bit smug. Little bit.) I've heard there are more eerie coincidences to come in his romance. Can't wait!

45ish, I actually bunked work today to finish it so that I could return to society, LOL! I'm thinking about doing it again but it's so glitchy on PC that I dunno whether to wait for the first patch to come out.

I feel you.  I usually get attached to the characters (usually not the main character) in books/games/movies who end up getting sacrificed or get a really raw deal in the end.  I think this is the first time it hasn't happened to me, but I've been there so many times I feel for everyone else this happened to.

I haven't started a romance w him yet. Just got through the first tell me about your past and get to know each other dialogue. I'm still really at the beginning of the game bc I'm such a completionist and need to do 100% of the game. Not to mention I started over last night bc I'm a perfectionist too and my character was starting to look not good enough for Cullen.

But I can say that what I've seen so far I liked. I got to flirt w him a little. *sigh*

I suppose it's one benefit of the Keep, imagine if you had to play through DAO etc time and again to get the different options. If it's the part I think you mean ...yeah, it's worthy of a wee switcheroo

My DAO canon screwed me over on every front in this playthrough. In the end I...

got no content for my sacrificed Warden, got no mention of her romance with Alistair, didn't and won't get to see Alistair and Anora in game because of my faction choice (will forever be bitter about that), didn't get to see Alistair as a Warden either, didn't even get to see Loghain for my trouble (knew I shouldn't have changed that in my tapestry), and to add insult to injury...

I ended up learning that Morrigan will have that damned demonspawn of hers anyway, ritual or not, so my Warden pretty much sacrificed her life and broke Alistair's heart to pieces in vain. :|

Basically, nothing my Warden did mattered, and it's almost like I skipped DAO entirely. Ironically enough, the only relevant mention of her came from Cullen (and she wasn't even a mage, so it was nice of him to remember her from the one time they met). I'll go and meta game a bunch of choices in my world state import for my next playthrough, but eh. Kinda sucks to have to meta around your actual choices to have any sense of reactivity to the first game.

At least my DA2 world state was super reactive, I had a lot of significant references from pretty much every relevant choice made there. Made me love my Hawke more than ever.
