I've heard really good things about Bull and Dorian's romance arcs, both of which I have watched. Very well done, though I must say with Bull's relationship specifically, FPJ knocked it out of the park and Patrick wrote him some really good lines.

 

Watched Dorian's, or bits of it. He's very Gaider, isn't he LOL! Haven't seen the others yet though since so little of their content worked for me, I couldn't be sure how many massive spoilers I'd run into.

Advisors don't have any approval tracking, so it probably doesn't make much difference if you treat them well or not? Quizzie was extremely rude to Leliana all the way through the Abyss quest, then ended up sympathizing with her and started treating her better, and I didn't notice any difference in how Leli acts or treats the Inquisitor either way.

  

There's no approval system for the advisors. They just keep doing advisor things no matter how mean you are to them.

This is true, but they still react directly to the things you say, so if you're harsh to them they will respond accordingly. And some of their personal quests may influence things as well. Of course I haven't been anything but mean to them so far so I can really judge the difference.

I think the point is more that they may respond harshly in the moment, but two seconds later they don't remember it since it's not tracked. So there are no lasting effects from a fight. No one has to sleep on the couch.

My Skyhold main hall did finish renovations after I progressed the story to a certain point, I've been unable to find a single quarry so far though so I haven't been able to upgrade my tower or the other thing that requires a quarry yet :S just the garden.

That bad, eh? All his content was glitched for me, so all I know of him is that he's a grumpy old Northern bloke, LOL!

 

See, I think it's just because I'm really Northern, but he really didn't sound all that Northern to me. It was kind of weird when I heard him say certain words quite un-Northernly. Doesn't he know we say 'poor' with two syllables up here?

I don't know if his major personal quest pops up whether or not he's romanced. It's a biggie, to me at least. To successfully romance either IB or BW would require a drastically different personality than I would normally play. Solas's romance, yes, I can see how that would appeal to a lot of people, it would be my second choice for a straight romance for a female inquisitor and the one where I understand the race gating.

Yeah, I assumed this was my problem. But apparently something is meant to happen after the GW storyline which just didn't for me, so it's definitely at least a little glitchy. Maybe if he wasn't so glitchy, I'd be more inclined to take him out and have him tell me about himself.

 

What's the general consensus about the other romances? 

From what I heard people are disappointed with Josephine's because

There's no actual sex scene. Some say it lacks passion and such, others say it's very sweet though. Sylvia came into her thread and clarified she wrote Josephine's romance to be intentionally subjective. There is a 'canon' moment where they do have sex, but it's up to the player if they want to interpret it that way.

I've also heard others are disappointed with the Blackwall and Solas romances because

They are too tragic, and not really in the way people were expecting, I feel. I think Solas' final scene is nice though. And very interesting lore there too.

^ I am just glad that at least we've got Cullen at least for a least a happy romance ending, I mean the others were a little bit too tragic for my taste.

there's a quarry at the Western Approach. Go to the camp at The Canyons (the first camp you're dropped at there), take the South road (the one that leads to some broken carts and a mine to your right), and keep an eye out for a structure built into the mountain to your left. You'll have to climb up there and find the Claim trident thingy, but it's very easy to see even from a distance.

I've found two other quarries somewhere in the Hinterlands and Storm Coast, but at this point I don't even remember where. I only remember this specific one because I literally found it just last night.

I'm dying to build that tower already to give my Templars some decent acommodations (I keep sending them into war table assignments, it's making me feel guilty for making them sleep on shanty broken down barracks), but I'm still missing one quarry and I can't find another anywhere, either. I wonder if there's any merchant we can buy construction materials from, I don't mind paying through the ass if it gets that tower built at last. >_>

That's pretty much what I meant. There is a difference in the content you see even if it has no lasting effect. I guess they're too much professionals to let it affect the working relationship.

you understand why I am so disappointed for my Zhenya. Who Blackwall is would be a complete game ender for her romance with him. With the other things they did to female dwarves... I'm just glad Sera's looks fun because I didn't really want to ditch Zhenya completely as a character.

 

Glynis will meet up with Zhenya and they'll drown their dwarven sorrows in ale....

Unfortunately I never saw anyone really making their space their own besides Solas and Sera (though really, it's just that she is the only one who seems to have an actual bedroom? lol)
