I don't think Cullen is completely inexperienced like Ali was. He's just had very few partners, maybe only one or two at most and those likely not for very long. Just from my experience with men.

 

It sounds like there wasn't any in Kirkwall given all the craziness and head mess, so if he did then it would've had to be in Ferelden, I guess.

Well, I survived.  Met my Hawke, and, like others have said, it does seem that the Keep has gone into more detail with my DA2 info than with my DAO plays.  Never mind.

Did you import a templar-siding Hawke by any chance? I'm really curious about Anders' status in that case, since there were some indications he was considering suicide. Though I suppose that's probably overridden by the romance anyway.

No, my Hawke sided with the mages in the last act.  In my actual playthrough I had rivalmanced Anders, so had played a bit more pro-Templar than not, but the Keep doesn't really let you reflect that.

Your Warden is on a quest to cure the taint from the Grey Wardens. With a Warden Alistair he gushes on and on about her and how she's on a quest that he was supposed to join her on before this Grey Warden issue happened. He's glad she's not around through it in case it affected her. He then goes on about how happy he is with her, how much he loves her and how they'll be together forever once all this crap is over (seriously adorable)... and very foreshadowing since I then had to then pick between him and my Hawke to stay behind in the Fade. I left Hawke in there... then cried, lol. If you romanced Morrigan or Leliana they also tell you that the Warden is on a quest to cure the taint, so basically that's where she/he is in all cases.

 

Oh, also with the Warden Alistair one, Leliana has her agents track her down and she sends you a letter back telling you to look after Alistair and make sure he's safe because she couldn't stand to lose him after all they've been through together.

Nope, King Alistair has a super short cameo in which he tells the mages to get out of Ferelden LOL, but I imagine his feelings are much the same except he can't go with her due to his Kingly duties what with all hell going down.

 

I do always wonder/worry that he's not as in love with the Warden if he marries her, since in DA2 he referred to her as the old ball and chain, but gushed about her when they stayed as Warden's together... I guess it was supposed to be another of his daft jokes though.

So, I guess I have to tag the pillars in the same order as the genealogy? I wish I'd known when I found the book that it would be important because I just skimmed it and went on. I thought it was a codex. Now, since it isn't a codex after all, I have no idea what order I'm supposed to tag the pillars in ... Is the family tree listed anywhere online? For something like that, especially with a decaying approval level, they should have made the genealogy list permanent in your codex or journal somewhere. I'll go back and look again, but I don't see it, and I can't get it back from the bookcase.

Sigh I'm still so enamored with Blackwall. His personal quest didn't change my opinion of him at all

I gave Sten, Loghain and Nathaniel a chance for redemption for vile acts before, Blackwall is no less deserving.

And his respect for the ideals of the Grey Wardens appeals deeply to my own hopeless romanticizing of them.

 

Plus, after finishing his quest I asked him about my advisors and he said about our little lion man

that he has nothing but respect for Cullen, but he acknowleges that Cullen may want nothing to do with him anymore, which just made me so sad. Cullen, of all people, understands what it's like to be a soldier and do horrible things without questioning simply because you're told to, and you're too caught up in that life to realize what it's turning you into. I want my Quizzie to sit both of them down for a drink and talk about life and stuff. They have so much more in common than they realize.

My problem isn't with giving him a chance to redeem himself. He wasn't under orders, btw, he accepted a bribe. My real issue is that children were involved. Any inquisitor of mine who was attracted to his ideals would also find it virtually impossible to continue a relationship with him after finding out the truth; they could never look at him without seeing that toy griffin (talk about symbolism in game, though.)

 

I may just not be seeing some of the cutscenes, but I wasn't finding him that interesting as a romance even before I found out. The kisses in her quarters, sure. The lack of consistency in his character makes sense now, but for me he feels like a different person in every scene.

If he's been in a few dalliances, my assumption is, it's b4 the Blight, perhaps he's still in between 18 to 20 (or even younger, who knows, he's been away from family since 13 and all), and likelihood, not with a mage. B/c it seems that he's in a 'mess' after the Blight that he didn't even consider getting involved, and from the PT, I'm assuming he's not the type who would just 'rush' into it. ...

Regardless, I have my own path to follow, and I must uncover a cure for the Calling if I wish to see my king ever again. I beg you, keep his kingdom safe until I can return to his side.

I can live with Alistair only having a short cameo if it means I don't have to choose between him and my Hawke.  That would kill me.  And it seems that in my world state, Sebastian took back the Starkhaven throne, and just sent money to help the Inquisition.  No wonder my Hawke left Anders at home to mind the cats!  Fiona just asked me how Alistair was after their rather fraught meeting - i sooooo wanted to shout 'I know your secret!' at her, but they don't give you the option...

That's weird, maybe she's ready to go through her Calling? Seems odd that she won't be able to see him otherwise. I don't like that. As a Warden Alistair said he was supposed to go with her, and then he disappears at the end in the epilogue so presumably he went off to join her.
