That was the second ship. She rebelled against Castillon in DA2 partly out of guilt for the first time she was involved in slave traffic a few years earlier - they'd been ambushed, and she drowned all the elves they were carrying to relieve weight on their ship so they could outrun their pursuers. That's part of how she became so defensive of all kinds of oppression, because she used to be a pretty terrible person herself, and came to realize it on her own when she crossed that line.

I never caught that. I'm...a little less fond of her knowing that now, sigh. On the other hand, it makes me think someone on their writing staff has a background in Atlantic World history.

The question is, how many PTs will someone be able to complete before I get to fire up the CC?

At the rate I'm going, pretty sure you'll have finished like three playthroughs before I get even halfway through my first.

Not Your fault, it was a comic.

Even if they make it over the first weekend in December, I'm still guessing it'll take me until May to finish my first. Unless I get really, really lucky on workload :P.

I haven't posted anything in five years. However, I'm so impressed with this game that I'm finally inspired to post. The inclusion of Cullen as a romance is much appreciated, and definitely the best of the bunch.

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed that random NPCs talk about the PC's relationship with Cullen. There are some snobby Orlesian nobles in the main hall of Skyhold that gossip about you when you seal the relationship. Nice touch. At least that's what I thought the snobs were discussing.

I'm currently grinding up levels to tackle the next main quest stage (you seriously just don't rush through this game on higher difficulties, there's no way to survive boss fights if you're not levelled enough), and trying to 100% the Hinterlands is a fool's errand if I've ever run one. I think the Hinterlands maps is almost as big as all of Skyrim. I'll be stuck here foreeeeeeever.

Oooh that's neat. I haven't heard that yet, but will be looking for it around the courtyard!

I only noticed that Sera says something when you ask her about what she thinks of people, and Leliana has a dig at Cullen in the war room about some being more eager than others to see the Inquisitor. I will definitely listen out for these the next time through.

Considering how many people were making inquiries about him at the ball and after, you can chalk that up to sour grapes ;)

You and my daughter. She finally reached Skyhold today (she thinks she completed everything in the Hinterlands available before that). I tend to take my time, wander around and enjoy the scenery, etc., but I'm not that kind of completionist either.

Not sure if anyone here wants to know, but I saw this mentioned in the Solas thread and thought I should share. For all of you fanfiction readers out there, I've found a story that looks to have a lot of promise for both a Cullen/Inq and Solas/Inq romance. Apparently it's part of a series but the author says that you don't need to read the other parts to understand what happens. Here is the link: https://www.fanficti...the-Dreamwalker

I'm still running through my Cullen romance playthrough. I just can't decided who I love more - Cullen or Solas. They are both amazing characters. If anyone knows other great stories with these characters included, please let me know! I love reading fanfics.

Thinking about starting a fanfiction thread with a list of good stories I find on the web...just not sure if it would be well received in this community or not. >_>

The gossip occurs after the first kiss scene. Then as the romance progresses, they say a few other things.

I have played 105 hours and I have only cleared the Hinterlands, Western Approach and Storm Coast.

I'm at around 90 hours now and have only cleared the Fallow Mire, because it's so tiny I could do it in one run (also it was so depressing that I wanted to clear it in one run so I'd never have to go back there). I've unlocked and explored a bit most regions on the war map except three or four higher level ones in Orlais, but am nowhere near completing any of them. /cries

By the way, if anyone knows what the hell you're supposed to do with that one quest in the Hinterlands with the totem that says "three times around" the pillar, hand on the stone etc, I'm taking suggestions. :P Been trying to figure that one out since pretty much release day, and really have no idea what do I need to do there.

You're supposed to run 3 times clockwise around the stone. I think it took me more than 3 times though. I had to look up a video to see if I was doing it wrong, but I wasn't.

edit: top for the 3rd time in a row????

I know he said he joined at 13, I'm pretty sure he said that he had 5 years of training before he did the become-a-full-templar ritual. So he's at least 18 when he goes to Kinloch tower. Nothing specific is said about what age he actually did go to Kinloch or how long he was there before being transferred to Kirkwall. He must have been pretty new during the mage origin to have never attended a harrowing before, and he had to be at Kinloch at least a year, since the events of DA:O take a year I believe. So my guess is that by the time DA:I starts, which is in 9:41 (right?), Cullen is about 30.

Just to clarify - are we sure that the Warden mage's harrowing was his first? We know that he hadn't seen abominations up till that point, but I assumed it was because the apprentices who were actually approved for a Harrowing probably passed, though possibly ungracefully. If I recall correctly, codex entries in DAO explain that Irving/the higher ups pay close attention to negative personality traits to weed out potential problems early - Jowan wasn't going to be allowed to undergo the Harrowing for that reason. The two gossiping mage girls that are in the room when you wake up from your Harrowing also say that Cullen said your Harrowing was "the quickest and cleanest he'd ever seen" and that your Warden was "very talented", so I figure he'd been through a few already without incident.

He does says in DAI that he's "attended a few" Harrowings when asked about what Templar duties involve, so I assume they just weren't especially frequent occurrences. But yeah, I agree he's probably in his early thirties at least. Sure wish we had more concrete info about it, but I can see why they'd want to leave that to headcanon too, haha.

I poked my daughter, she says you're supposed to go to the stone itself and run around it
