More than DLC, I'm just wanting to play the actual game. I'll probaply get it next week when I got my student allowance. I can't wait any longer! Hopefully PS3 will be patched for better then, I'll die if my quizzy look abomination like some PS3 quizzys have ^^;

He basically begs you not to do it, and that you already have enough to worry about with other problems.  I ended up not taking it because the idea seemed to make him sad.

Not sure what he says (if anything) if you end up taking it anyway.

And then you go talk to Cullen about thinking about becoming one and he's like "Really? After everything I've told you?"

Of course, I also personally thought that the Templar guy seemed like an ass. Heh.

Eeesh, now that I've given in and read some more spoilers about the Divine choice, it looks like Cassandra is what I'm actually aiming for. Her positions about the Seekers and Templars are exactly what I want.

Getting stupidly nervous about this now, lol. I really don't want Leliana's brand new magocracy in my game, and while Vivi is good for reinstating the Circles, she doesn't answer any of my concerns about reforming the Order.

Aaah I don't know what to do to ensure Cass gets the throne. I might just start ignoring Vivi's and Leliana's missions and personal quests or... I don't know. Oh, epilogue slide anxiety, how I haven't missed you.

DA's version of a pusher. Well, I'd considered the Templar spec, but that was when I thought it was the Seeker's non-lyrium version. It might be more doable on a dwarf, they're pretty resistant and would have non-Chantry access to lyrium through the Carta, but um, no.

 

I've seen one version of the ending slides with Cass as Divine. Reorganizing the same old systems of Circle and Templar order? After all her sympathy for Cullen, and she wants to reestablish the Templars' addiction to lyrium as a leash? I thought better of her than that.

I loaded up an old save from around that time, and that's not exactly what he says.

It is, in fact, the Templar trainer who talks about the stuff you mentioned.

In my game Cass became the Divine, but I have no idea what I did to make that happen. XD I didn't really do any of their personal quests. Well, I did Leliana's where you have to search the chantry, and I did Cullen's with the lyrium, but none for Cass, or for Viv. I do distinctly remember telling Leliana I'd support her, and it was of those orange decision blinkers, but I have no idea what difference that made since Cass ended up Divine anyway.

there can be different versions of that ending slide. While there were some vague references to mild reforms not necessarily connected to mages and Templars, the one I saw said she set up a new Templar order and new Circles, with nothing that suggested any differences there and nothing about the Seekers of Truth. In fact the Inquisition's mages set up a separate College of Enchanters that quickly came in conflict with the Circles.

Who gets elected as Divine is largely influenced by choices made in the game I believe. If you make choices that lean more towards freedom for mages and promoting equality for other races you get leliana. If you conscript mages or side with templars it sways the divine choice in favour of Cass or Viv since you're essentially sticking to the old ways of the Chantry.

Holy hell, so I just found out my game was even more glitched than I thought, there were entire cutscenes that didn't even trigger for me

So, apparently during the push to the Temple you were supposed to get cutscenes as you enter an area where one of your advisors is leading their faction etc. I didn't get that at all, I just ran on through, saw Cullen fighting, couldn't click on him to talk or anything like that so I kept running through to the temple. Didn't even encounter Leliana at all!

Definitely! I mean, no bloody wonder the game felt like it was majorly lacking for me! I couldn't get half the companion quests, most had eff all to say to me, the banter between a lot of the companions wouldn't trigger, cutscenes didn't work, my Skyhold didn't upgrade itself, and I dread to think what else I missed that I'm not even aware of yet! I'm supposed to review this bloody game on the channel and I don't even have an accurate opinion on the game to do so! 

 

I wonder if it was my review copy that's just uber borked? Maybe the game wasn't finished when they were created?

What I'm having trouble with is, I like what Cassandra says she wants to do, and I think she would probably be very sucessful at gaining support, but having a mage as the Divine would be a huge step, to have representation for mages within the Chantry. In my conversations with her, Vivienne claims to support the old Circle way, with more standardization of practices between the different circles. However, when I say that I support mages being part of Chantry heirarchy, she greatly approves and says that I surprise her and she likes the way I think. So while she may present herself as for the Old Order of Things, I don't think she would be against reform, as long as she gets to be in power. But it sounds like from the epilogue slides, she really does want things the old way? Sigh. I'm conflicted.

Anyway, I'm now done with the story so it's back into the character creator for me to make a handsome elf to romance Dorian (and make Cullen uncomfortable) with. Will I manage it before the day is out? Only time will tell...

No. They should have given you a completed version. It'd make no sense to expect people to review a game accurately with an incomplete review copy. That said, I think you just got a very very buggy game.

Scrap that, I misinterpreted what the person was saying. So that area was as lackluster as I thought. Disappointing.

No. They should have given you a completed version. It'd make no sense to expect people to review a game accurately with an incomplete review copy. That said, I think you just got a very very buggy game.

 

It's the PC version, so I guess it comes as no surprise, lol.
