So, first page update.
Starting to build a "Highlights of the Cullenites" section. I may change the organization later... I'm not sure if I'm going to include everything from every celebration, since we could just link to each celebration page, but for now I think I have all the fics from celebrations. I'll probably add some misc fics in there from our Cullenites, that weren't from celebrations/challenges, so let me know if there's something you'd like to see included.
I'll start to work on some of the other highlights... mostly tomorrow.
Well, the facts do seem to be panning out against the notion of his being a companion. I can't deny that is a painful admission to make, but I'm at the same time so happy we know that he has a fairly substantial role and that I'm going to get the chance to know him better. Much, much better.
And if it turns out that he's a follower after all, then I just get to celebrate with a little more gusto.
I was not referring to his rank as Knight Commander, but the chance of him leading a group of Templars that hasn't joined the Red Templars. Like the Concept art "New Home" which might show him and the Templar Group (It's all speculation, I know)

Yeah I'm still elated that we even get him as a romance! Really we are doing so much better than we COULD be doing so I feel a little silly (or maybe ungrateful?) still wishing for companion status; But I really want to hear him banter with our other companions, or comments he has about all these locations he probably never imagined he'd ever see. The first time he sees a dragon or gets dragged into the fade with us somehow! I hope if he IS a romance it's more filled out then the Cortez romance. Or maybe when you are at your base you can hear his banter with the party. You could kinda hear some with Cortez and Vega which was nice but still felt a little lacking. I really trust the writers and have always loved Bioware games and felt really satisfied with all of them, so I HAVE FAITH! But If he is a NPC LI I reeeeaaaallly hope it's as in depth as a regular companion one!
This ^^ and frankly I would love to have him around even when my Inqui does not romance him. But still chuffed about li thing.

Anyway, just a thought. IF Cullen is a NPC romance, wouldn't that mean we would have 6 LIs? Even though they said the romance budget saw no increase? I mean, I just think it would be strange to have half the LIs to not be companions. Especially given Gaider's supposed dislike of them.
This is what I'm thinking. I think it'll most likely be Cullen and Scribe Girl as NPC romances if they go the NPC route

That is an excellent point. If Cullen were leading his own merry little band of Templars, that would be great news for him being a companion.
But I just don't know.
The problem with Cullen being an NPC has been brought up before: why did he join the Inquisitor as an advisor? Either he was kicked out, or he's advising specifically for Templars. I don't know.

Just because he doesn't like them doesn't mean they won't do them. And I think they are doing NPC romances.

Yeah that's what makes me scratch my head. He said the budget had not increased for romances. So why go from 4 to 6? How is this financially feasible?

Maybe he feels somewhat responsible, considering Meredith was his superior that he answered to, so perhaps he wants to stop the red Templars and just decides to stick around for the darkspawn? Maybe? I don't know.
