Holy moly, I just finished the game and Cullen's romance arc (tied in with his personal arc) was so sweet. It was even more than I could ever hope! I'm still emotional how good it was!

 

Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving here from the States!

Bioware you tease! You dangle the idea of replacing the Lyrium addict in front of me and you don't let me capitalize on it?! Oh for shame!

 

But really...I like to think that my Inquisitor is a decent person. What would cause the least amount of suffering for Cullen? Get him back on Lyrium? Or make him stop using it?

If you tell him to take lyrium you risk ending the relationship. Cullen wants nothing to do with lyrium. If you want him to be happy I think he is happiest being free from it even though it's hard for him at times. Ultimately I think it's the best choice for him.

Happy Thanksgiving! I go to work a little later tomorrow so after I stuff my face with food, I'm gonna keep playing. I've put about 35hrs in the game but I haven't done that much exploring because I keep wanting to play main story/companion's story quest so I'm probably going to be doing side stuff. I don't want to meet Celine yet. lol I know the big scene comes after that so I want to cherish it!

It's nice that his romance arc was relatively angst free given how much he's been through. DG described it as "vanilla" but I think that's exactly what Cullen needed, something drama-free and tender to counteract all the hardship and stress. Wish his sex scene had been a little more revealing though!

It's nice that his romance arc was relatively angst free given how much he's been through. I complained about it on tumblr! All the other romances are Confirmed For Bits and his didn't get even a single lovingly sculpted butt! Outrageous! The Respectfully Redressed Inquisitor Of Modesty looked like she was going for.... what's it called? Hit & Run?

 

The forehead boop almost turned my heart into mush, though. it's my favorite romance trope.

Hmm, I also went pro-mage, but after defeating Samson at the Temple of Mythal, he was taken back to Skyhold to be judged. That conversation with Cullen happens when you speak to him after judging Samson.
