You can unlock it at the war table,when you gain an inquisition perk.I believe it was in the forces/power section.

first i had been able to "transfer" myself into the game, and my character looked even better than me

 

now i gave it an another try, and did the same with greg ellis!!

 

and the outcome looks sooooo gooood!!!

 

god, i'm proud of myself ;u;

Yup. I gave it to Solas in my previous playthrough but I can't remember where I got it.

They're basically the same appearance with some color differences.

I really need to sit down and spend some more time with the CC. My first Inquisitor is basically a Frostbite 3 version of one of my Dalish Wardens. I didn't even realize this until I was about 15 hours into the game. Thought that was pretty funny, though.

So I'm back after almost completing my first playthrough with a Solas romance, and I just can't finish it.  It's going on ice for DLC.  Or maybe not.  I'm not sure I'll mend after getting kicked that hard.

 

I should have gone with my heart and gone with Cullen, but nooooo, the elf history nerd in me just had to go with the elf.  I'm just so heartbroken in so many ways.

 

I sure hope Cullen can take my mind off all the awfulness.    I still have to play an elf because I always do, but I like how they set up Lavellan's clan to be a progressive one when it comes to humans.

If you need consolation, stop by our Solas discussion thread. You'll find a lot of other people who felt like this, including myself. As for Cullen - well, I made sure to grab him right away my second playthrough. It's too easy to love someone so gentle and amazing.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that if you get the "start romance with Cullen" dialogue option and take it, and you don't break things off with him/make him dump you, you're good. I don't know that having a flirting relationship without the "confessing your feelings" scene will get you a dance.

TL;DR: make him kiss you first before you go to the ball
