So I've read that there is a bug with Cullen -

he dissapears from Skyhold if you do Wicked Eyes, Wicked Hearts quest first instead of Here Lies the Abyss.

Is this true?

I did have him randomly disappear and reappear on me after I did the Wicked quest, which I also did do before Abyss... So maybe?

So I made it to Skyhold not that long ago, and I've been mostly knocking companion quests down one at a time since, but I have had my first (wonderful) Cullen flirt at Skyhold. Now there's an exclamation mark with his name...It looks like the location is the ramparts and when I try to zero in on it with a marker it leads me to a room with a desk and a ladder...but no one there. Nothing happens.

 

Is this a bug any of you have experienced? Or am I missing something?

All three trainers arrive in Skyhold after you do a war table mission.

 

 

Oh! That's what that weird cutscene was...I haven't noticed the markers for them on the map, do they all hang in the same location?

Try leaving skyhold and then returning, that usually fixed the problem for me.

Glad you found them To everyone else, they hang out together but each class has the trainers in a different place.

First time I noticed my companions disappearing was when I was trying to look for Cole - silly me thought it was part of his character to just disappear and reappear at will. Then I realized I couldn't find Cassandra in Skyhold even when standing right on top of her, and I didn't get to interact with her until well into the middle of the plot. I basically missed all chances at quest-specific dialogue with her up till now. And, of course, now that she's showing up it's Bull who is disappearing. I think they're taking turns. >_> Cole still doesn't load immediately when I go to him but at least he eventually shows up after I wait a while. Bull and Cassandra never do if they're not there already, not even on reloads of the save, so I can't tell when they'll be there.

 

It's really frustrating, I hope they can patch this. I've probably missed so many cut-scene opportunities.

Kind of disappointed that I couldn't be more wary of Alexius. Also Dorian looked fine enough. I feared how his Moustache would've looked After seeing it on low pc (as Wall, last gen is better in the shiny hair department for companions....though we have the texture loading problem, but so far if didn't happen much to me) I was worried.
I like the dinamic between Dorian and Felix.
Also, Connor mentioned king Alistair so my Import Should be fine .

I'm going to complete some new side quests before hitting the war table operation.

I'm 60 hours into the game, and I feel like I'm rushing through it. I'm just now at What Pride Had Wrought, but there's still so many places I haven't visited yet (Hissing Wastes and Fallow Mire, among others) and a lot of area side quests... I haven't even done half of the companion quests. I actually love how much stuff there is to do. I'm glad that I can finish the main quest and still keep playing.

Just make sure you finish every quest under Inquisition and Inner Circle in your journal before you finish the main quest, as those will auto-fail and become unavailable after the "ending."

Tempest is crazy overpowered, just so you know lol. I really want to push my playthrough to get to all the romance with Cullen but I have a lot of companion quests to do and I just can't please Cole XD It's constant DISAPROVE, no slightly or anything, just massive.

 

I fear he will be leaving soon, his speech keep changing from Friend to not friend when ever I make a decision. Solas love/hates me I didn't let him kill the mages in his personal quest and he's been a grump every since.

Figured I couldn't give double standards when I'd made that Tervinter mage tranquil for causing the events that made me pick between sacrificing Hawke or Alistair, LOL! (I sacrificed Hawke... and cried) had to change my beloved DA:O canon just to keep the pair of the alive. Not happy.

who aren't interested in subbing. I'm glad they were willing to risk putting him out there, but a bit of an eyeroll from me that he's actually gated just as much as Cullen and Solas in his way. And with no particular reason for Cullen to be race-gated.

I cannot imagine anyone passing this chance! if i were any better at writing fanfic, i'd fix the problem myself, but alas. it could be so nice, though. the COMMENTS. the FRIENDLY CONCERN.

 

and the lack of race-specific content is actually something that makes me more upset than the wonky PC controls, really. they didn't matter much once i got the hang of it, but a Dalish First asking who mythal is? really? for reals? they are not shitting me? i had no option to talk about elvhen legends, just one conversation about my clan with josie, two or three options in dialogue and that's it?

 

it feels a bit too minor and thus too annoying for me. the whole point of playing with non-humans is that change in perspective, but we rarely got it.

 

They didn't change much, I am starting to believe, after they brought back playable races. Even the cut scenes... in one scene my Dalish quizzy is leaning over a railing while his arms hover about half a foot in the air. The scene was obviously designed for a human quizzy. 

 

I've had a few chances (and by few I mean literally two or three) to say I believe in my own gods, but most of the time the only options are either declaring I'm an Andrastian or an atheist. It really sucks.

There don't even seem to be as many elf-specific comments from people as in DAO. I think one of the few really good lines that's race specific is when you first meet IB as a qunari, and he laughs about the Chantry's reaction to a qunari Herald of Andraste. I think it's why, although most of the main story seems really well written, the stuff I've seen with non-humans seems very off most of the time.

Yes, THIS. most of the time, throughout the main quests and conversations, I can see in the back of my mind how it would've made perfect sense for a human quizzy to say or do what I just had to say or do. My Dalish quizzy, for instance, has been oddly deeply concerned about saving shem lives since the very beginning lol Um, okay. Probably doesn't help that the British male VA is extremely noble and neutral sounding when he reads the lines... no matter what the intended tone.
