I really liked the quest. Poor Connor in the future .
I got Alistair and Anora . I liked their appearance even if it was a small cameo. Dorian is awesome. I liked Felix as well.
I really like the dinamic between the Big four (Cassandra and the advisors). It really feels like they the leaders of the inquisition...for now.

Also, I get the problem people have with story and Companion content/dialogues being spread out in a vast game. I feared a bit this since DAI was stated to roughly have the same World count/budget then DAO. It doesn't bother me that much at the moment (though I was disappointed in seeing few new dialogues After the quest in Haven), expecially because I'm getting a lot of banter.
On the cast, so far I'm really liking them. It seems my expectations of them are turning out To be correct . I really, really like how Cullen was developed so far.
I'll hit The next main quest tomorrow.

I admit there is more they could have done with the story but to be honest I can't help but feel the reason why the whole thing with the elder one feels so anti climatic is because it's not really the core story. The core story is whatever is going on with the elves and the forming of the inquisition. The elder one is just used as a catalyst for all those things to happen and be brought to light.  

 

Edit: Basically to me DAI feels like one big prologue for whatever is coming next, sort of how DA2 was a prologue to the whole mage rebellion.

I don't think it helped that the final battle happened so abruptly and ended very anti-climatically. Mix that with the lackluster push through the Arbor Wilds to the Temple and it makes the main story feel even shorter. They could've done a lot more with the companions/romances too, that amount of content may have worked well in DA:O and DA2 because they were smaller games, but in DAI and the amount of time you sink into it just faffing around with side quest the interactions feel very spread thin, doubly so since they can only be interactive with at Haven/Skyhold.

So, I've been watching someone's dwarf PT, and I think some versions of the game may be bugged for non-human content. He wasn't getting large amounts of dwarven content, but Varric and Harding recognized it, and there were one or two other mentions in the first hour or two after he got to Haven.

 

And I've seen some pictures of a dwarf/Josephine romance, they managed the height difference rather well; it would be so easy for it to fall into the comical.

I managed to decrypt some of the .CAS files witch contain the "heavy stuff" like the meshes and such... you will see on the right side there is a bunch of numbers.. and those are compiled in chunks... now i gotta figure out witch one of those is the hair styles ....

 

If this works ( and please PLEASE GOD  let this work) i did 3 hairstyles samples to see if i can get them in... there are not long hairs because i can only rig them to the head bone (since i don't have the actual character mesh  to do longer hairstyles on it) I made a few samples please guys WISH ME LUCK!!!!!!!!!!! IM GONNA NEED IT

Actually, no. I romanced Cullen, and I'm not even finished with my first playthrough. I'm a completionist, so I must do EVERY quest in an area before I will explore a new one. It's just...some of the choices make me feel like I'm kicking puppies.

I had to give in and start over again last night lol 42hrs in and things just got so far away from me, yay for not reading the tutorial properly I lost all sense of direction and it was giving me a brainache lol. I had at least 40 active quests (maybe more as I stopped checking to save my blood pressure lol) I'd opened up and been to every zone available but hadn't completed any of them then moved on to the next, Lvl 17 still no specialization as the quest items weren't dropping (not sure if I outlevelled it). It just all got a bit of a mess lol. I finally decided to start again rather than fight the losing battle of trying to reign in that playthrough. I usually do that though, have one practise run, difference is, I'm not going to complete that playthrough.

Cullen was very understanding about it all, he had concerns of his own about how fractured and remote some of our forces were

Didn't they also show that you could upgrade your keeps? I think they may have cut it out of the game. I didn't get any of that either

I got the options and quests to upgrade the keep. You have to understand, a lot of that stuff is in the extended gameplay, not just the main storyline.

Not Skyhold. The keeps in the other areas that you capture.

oh man I played for over 80 hours and I still didn't get to do everything. I just got to a point after playing for so long were I just wanted to finish the main quest.

I think you were supposed to be able to choose spy, commerce or military. And ive only found three keeps. I found a villa that was overrun with bandits that looked like it should have been a keep in the Hinterlands. But after I cleared it out there was nothing.

Just finished the game and I agree that

the finale battle was a bit anti climatic, I was hoping for something similar to DA:O with your troops and allies fighting alongside you, but oh well I really enjoyed it and the Cullen romance was great!

I would have to agree that I was let down a bit in that department. I mean, i know it may have been an issue for them, but why show it off at E3, then? That is one of the first impressions many people will have going into the game (I sure did) and it was a bit of a let down to not see those mechanics in game. They should've shown other material if they were so 'on the fence' about it.

They didn't show that demo at e3. It was at PAX (I think) and it was more than a year ago. And I think they said sometime this summer that they had to cut a few things that we've already seen.
