Hmm... as I feared, starting the Pride quest did send me into a final stage of the game I wasn't intending to reach just yet. Everyone's saying goodbyes and stuff, kinda killed the story flow I had going on. It's gonna take a few playthroughs to get the timing of the main quest just right.

 

So yeah, heads up for anyone trying to extend the gameplay as long as possible, don't start the Pride quest until you're ready to end the game. Doing anything else after that feels immersion-breaking and jarring as hell.

I'm really impressed with Cullen's romance. There were a lot more cut scenes with him than I expected there to be. Very touching and sweet. I died when they hugged. It was so affectionate D:

Another long-time lurker chiming in. Just finished the main story line last night with my canon history and I'm still Omg, I could go on for hours about the cut scenes and the interactions and what not... Absolutely stunning detail, facial expressions, emotions... *fans self for the umpteenth time*

 

I was playing elf mage (I've got this canonised in my head where my canon is Lady Aeducan warrior romancing Alistair -- or rather, pining over a certain Gorim and trying to forget him in the process -- and Hawke as Mage romancing Anders). First off I was unsure if I should even go for the blonde one again and Solas seemed kinda interesting as well, but then...I think it was love at first sight for my Lavellan. It was just perfect, to put it briefly. The best romance I've encountered thus far, in my opinion.

 

Okay, keep on loving Cullen, people

UGHHHH I hate the Iron Bull. Nothing I do triggers his bloody personal quest / romance. I'm gonna die single.

 

Try killing a dragon. Worked for me (not romance wise but it got me his personal quest).

In my playthrough it took a long time for Bull's personal quest to trigger for me.

Any tip of where to found the villagers? I found the smith Outside the gates, I helped Lysette against the RT, and then I found Flissa, but I don't know where Siegritt is. I guess Theren, Minaeve and Aedan are After them?

You need to have high approval with a companion before their quest triggers, right? The only one who never triggered a personal quest for me was Solas, I assumed it was because his approval is so low that he just won't give me the quest.

Minaeve and Adan are outside Adan's place and Threnn is outside the chantry.

Theren (I think) is inside a house right near where you first woke up, it's barred from the front so you have to climb a structure near it and jump in through the roof. Minaeve and Aedan are in front of the apothecary, where Solas used to stand. If you're not against save scumming, quicksave before trying to save them, as they're near explosives and usually one will blow up while you save the other. If you want to save both, you may have to reload a few times and try to be as fast as you can.

Yeah, I've tried all I could but he really dislikes my poor Inquisitor, it's come to a point where I'm just laughing it off because it's so funny.

 

Hopefully in my Dalishquisitor playthrough we'll get along better, his personal quest sounds interesting... if I could have seen it.

Geez! I'm just under 100 hours in on my first play through, and I'm just now stuck in the Fade at the Here Lies the Abyss quest. You guys must really be skipping stuff. It just seems like when I'm in places and working my way from marker to marker on my map, I wind up spending so much time working my way around.

 

I'm sort of dreading this one though.

If I play true to this  particular Hawke, she would sacrifice herself because she really loved Anders, but her sense of justice demanded she execute him. She's a broken woman with little to live for. I don't want to break Varric's heart.

 

I love the little quest scene Cullen takes you to his favorite quiet place. I preserved that save.

Ah, that confirms my suspicions that no merchants sell halla leather. Can't bring myself to kill those majestic beasties, though, even for the prettiest armor color scheme.

Well, I just had my first Cullen kiss! I giggled. I did. I'm really enjoying the pacing of this romance.

 

And I swear, for the first time---so far--I have not had to cringe when my PC started her flirty talk.

But I am still playing. 80 hours in. yes. lesse I have not looked in to a bunch of places yet. Went to Halamshiral, tho. But not Emprise du Lyon, or Hissing Wastes or....well, quite a few.

I don`t like Blakwall, I ignore him, I am not taking him nowhere already, even on his quests. "Blackwall would like to be here" I don`t care

Oh, tough call. Love Dorian! But I'm a mage too so I don't really bring him...alot. I bring him a good amount. I also love Iron Bull. He's really, really grown on me.

 

I saw they were having some issues with party banter and background music triggering? Idk, I hear music just fine. It's not constant tho...and that's okay. Um, my party is kinda quiet. I mean really quiet. Although I find that when I Stand Still--lol, or simply walk slowly for anty length of time--my companions just start gabbing away.

 

But when I'm running, they're quiet.

 

I will say this, I am Loving all the Dialogue choices. Big fat dialogue wheel stuff. What seems to me to be actual unique questions and choices that garner actual diff responses from the npc.  I love what they've done with the dialogue.

Dorian says that he didn't notice Solas was there, because he's very nondescript, and Solas answers "Please speak up. I cannot hear you over your outfit"!

 

About my favourite companion... I don't think I have one! They are all pretty awesome!

I really want an all mage party.  The amount of sheer nerdiness and attitude flying around would be intense.  I wonder if giving up all those locks and bashing would be worth it...  *sigh*
