So, we were all under the impression that party banter was glitched, right? According to Allan Schumacher's post in the main forums they've been running tests and it's not glitched at all. Weird.

Yes apparently it's all our fault *rolls eyes*

I don't really understand what is going on with the banter stuff. How do you know it's glitched? Maybe there's not alot of field banter? The safe spot banter and dialogue is pretty intensive itself. So maybe there's not that much field banter?
They also9 talk abt music, but I hear music often. Not too often, and that's good because I like hearing the surrounding sounds as well. Birds, animals, winds

Another long-time lurker chiming in. Just finished the main story line last night with my canon history and I'm still Omg, I could go on for hours about the cut scenes and the interactions and what not... Absolutely stunning detail, facial expressions, emotions... *fans self for the umpteenth time*
I was playing elf mage (I've got this canonised in my head where my canon is Lady Aeducan warrior romancing Alistair -- or rather, pining over a certain Gorim and trying to forget him in the process -- and Hawke as Mage romancing Anders). First off I was unsure if I should even go for the blonde one again and Solas seemed kinda interesting as well, but then...I think it was love at first sight for my Lavellan. It was just perfect, to put it briefly. The best romance I've encountered thus far, in my opinion.
Okay, keep on loving Cullen, people
Oh you are so lucky!
I never learn my lesson "In a bioware game, never romance a mage" so I always get my heart thorn in a million pieces. Anders on DA2 and now Solas.
But they both are outstanding for those who like tragic romaces. Solas is,, I have no words but is the best (though sad) romance Bioware ever wrote, I think.
Needed to romance Cullen to mend my bruised heart after my solasmance play. Cullenmance is awesome: No tears, sweet as honey, chock full of warmth... Ah Cullen if only you would console my Lavellan after
That is one thing I loved about Anders. He was so head over heels about Hawke he would take you after you broke up with Isaballa AND got dumped by Fenris. which I did because it has some of the funniest dialog in the game ![]()
Paraphrasing:
Fenris: you dating Hawke ?
Anders: yea, what is it to you
Fenris: treat her well
Anders: I need no advice from someone who doesn't know what love is
Fenris: Don't open your hear to me unless you want it ripped out of your chest
Isabella: would you two get over yourselves ? I did her too!
Oh Isabella, you pervie smexy pirate!

Well the banter is definitely glitched in some form, just maybe not the way some people are thinking. I'm getting banter but occasionally certain characters will repeat certain conversations. I find this happens a lot with Dorian and Varric. When I was looking around the hissing wastes they must have repeated the betting on the inquisitors odds against the elder one convo about 6 or 7 times.

And you know I really did not want to deal with the lyrium thing and Cullen, but I like the way they did it here. I did jump a little, though, when Cullen punched the bookcase..

PS: I miss Isabella!!!
She is a lot funnier than Sera and is not rude with anyone (I was appalled at one of Sera's dialog about transgender people., not cool, not even for a tactless NPC).
Isabella: Fenris that magic fisting you can do can earn you a lot of coin...
Fenris: Ignores Isablella, fumming

What color does halla leather give you?
It gives a very clean white color to armors. I wanted it for the whole Herald of Andraste effect, pristine white leathers with silver bracings, but... it wasn't meant to be. I'm feeling kinda done with this playthrough now anyway, and the best I got was some vomit-green and dirt-grey armors. Maybe next time.

Okay, the lyrium thing:
Spoiler
Lyrium is sold as refined dust. Both mages and Templars have to distill the dust into a potion to drink it. Granted, the scene with Cullen

Maybe you missed me saying I've only heard about three banters.
Maybe it isn't glitched, just very, very poorly implemented.

Much like many things in the game. Yeeeeeah, I'm still salty about it, lol.

Yeah, that's what it said in the thread. Funnily enough, that was one of the few problems I didn't have too often... sometimes certain companion combos didn't trigger anything, but some never shut up so it wasn't so much of an issue for me.

Okay, that makes more sense. And yeah,
And regarding the party banter issue, I'm wondering if the reason we're not hearing so much is because of the terrain. It's difficult to have trigger points like in the previous DA titles. I'm not sure how it's coded, but I know I get something each time I'm in a camp, but not much outside of that.

I wonder if anyone's put up the advisor banter yet? Wouldn't mind hearing the party banter about Cullen and the Cullen/Inquisitor relationship.
At least there's at least one up. I'm not sure you'd consider the one post-ball as a romance banter since I don't know if it triggers only with a romanced Cullen or not.

I've heard the one where Dorian teases about your preference for strapping young templars and how he thinks the relationship is adorable, I've also heard the one at the war table about Cullen being eager to see the Inquisitor and then the comments from the ball with all the marriage proposals Cullen got, LOL! Apparently there's one that Cole says that people think is about the Cullen romance but I never got that one.

Someone who complete Cullen romance, please can you tell me, it ends bad, or happily? I need to know because I hate bad endings, it makes me feel crushed for weeks. Thanks for answers, and sorry for my bad English.

OK those are the ones I've heard, except the Cole banter. If you find it, post a link because I'd love to hear it.

Some Cullen screenies from what I assume is the last scene before the epilogue:
Think I'm just gonna rush through the ending now. This playthrough has kinda soured on me anyway, Cullen's romance was great but also a little... disappointing I guess, there's very little of the ending left that I haven't been spoiled for... thinking I need to just wrap up the main quest, delete this character and start over from scratch.
