If you tell him to take lyrium, it will end the relationship. So don't let him take it.

Just finished catching up with today's posts, and re: speculation/expectations...

After reading some thoughts in here, I'm extra glad that I didn't allow myself to speculate too much on what would be included in the game. I learned back in my Buffy and Harry Potter days that me speculating often lead to certain expectations and, ultimately, a lot of disappointment when those expectations weren't met (never get me started on what I expected of Draco and Slytherin in Deathly Hallows). That's why I'm so cautious and restrict myself when it comes to speculation, and also why you didn't catch me joining in on many conversations going on in this thread (especially about Cullen's lyrium addiction).
I still found the final battle disappointing, though. I had little to no expectations for that fight, and still... yeah. That was quick.Just my personal experience, of course. If you enjoy speculation, keep doing your thing!

Needless to say, I did a lot of "awwww" and "d'awwwww" while watching the Cullen romance scenes. And what was even more surprising was that a lot of characters referenced him in my playthrough. "I let Cullen know this.... Cullen know that..." I was like wow, Cullen, you get around in this organization.

Hmm, not that I know of in my first playthrough. Mind you, there's the confirmed news that there's a bug that makes ambient conversations trigger less (especially confirmed with companions). I definitely had Sera and War table have it triggered once and not much.

So I just, well into my second playthrough, realized there's actually supposed to be music throughout the game. I barely have any. I also barely have any party banter. How is this for you guys? You get music during exploring? During fights? Cutscenes? Do your people never talk or never shut up? O_o

I am playing for the second time, but I probably mixt something:

after the Skyhold takeover at once I am getting quest to red Templars and right after it I have a conversation about Cullen lyrium problem. In the first game I had to long wait on both these matters, and here bah! from the start already, maybe I talked to him too much at the Heaven? or war table missions?

and I forgot about Belle, perhaps I will begin new game ...

You get music during exploring? During fights? Cutscenes? Do your people never talk or never shut up? O_o

 

Yeah audio sometimes cut off for me during fights or anywhere really in my first playthrough. I think it's a bug? 

 

And about the party banter, it's a confirmed bug. Bioware is trying to fix it so there's more party banter per ~ 10-20 mins instead of hours or just per map. 

 

Also I had the tavern songs carry over while I was exploring Skyhold, too. 

 

Don't worry, you aren't the only one having issue with audio! (weird thing is after I finished the game, companions sounded more chatty...)

About the Abyss quest

Has anyone sacrificed a Warden Alistair romancing the Warden yet? What does he say as he goes to kill that spider? Does he tell us to give her a message or anything like that? (Like how Hawke tells you to say goodbye to Varric for him)? I've been looking for a YT vid of it but no one seems to have sacrificed him... not that I blame them, there's no way I could ever do that to Alistair.

 

Also, my god he was hot as hell in DAI! And the way he spoke about my Warden... Maker, he and Cullen are literally the two most perfect pixelated men I've ever encountered! Woof!

 

It's gonna take a bit to get there but I'm doing this scenario in my new playthrough, so, if you haven't found out until then, I'll let you know by the size of my ocean of tears.

just did cullens quest and I kind of feel sad now that I didn't get it when siding with the templars since I like the templar recruit quest better. Now I feel that when romancing Cullen I need to side with the mages to get something extra out of it
