I'm in agreement with you here. I'm surprisingly, very much okay with how everything is turning out. My gut feeling is that NPC romances and relationships will be as fully fleshed out as companions, minus exploration banter, something i'm finding i'm not particularly bothered about as much. Seeing Cullen get a spot at the 'grown ups table' is what cements it for me really. He may be an NPC, but his role looks likely to be just as important as iff he were a full companion. I'm always ready to be proven wrong, but hoping that it's not on this. It's about time NPCmances were given the same love as companion ones and iff anyone can that, i'd bet on the DA team being the ones to do so.

Cassandra canonically shown attraction to a male character (DotS). i really doubt she won't be available to male PC. It'd be the same as shown Cullen as homosexual (though I personally don't care either way).

I feel you I need to finish my thesis rather sooner than later because I know that the closer the day of release is coming, I'll lose my focus lol especially now that I know that I can actually romance the heck out of Cullen, my excitement has quadrupled - and I didn't think that would be possible because I've already been super duper excited right from the beginning.
I hope the talking won't be cut too short and all though. Though I would probably talk to him a lot even if he was just repeating stuff he told me before, just for the sake of that smexy eye candy :3

Thinking, "OMG, what if I just sent Cullen to his death?" - doesn't it sound like fun?  And the potential for fanfiction! This is what thrills me the most.

Besides, like it was mentioned above, being equals is great. Can't wait to play this game!

Aye, it's a completely different relationship dynamic to what we're used to having and i'm actually pretty excited by it. You out in the field and him back home leading and commanding our military forces, each one praying for the other to come home safely, it's really working for me. I love what you say about being equals as well, it speaks to me...a lot. Can't wait to play either, the next six months are gonna kill me lol

She probably thinks that it's a demon in disguise or something, since we're not meant to be able to physically go in and out of the Fade like that, LOL!

Exactly, demons are the only ones capable of physically traversing the Veil, although it's more difficult and that's why they prefer to hitch a lift across. She's got a buttload of reasons to be suspicious of this guy walking out of ground zero with not a scratch on them.

 

I suspect most of the Chantry folk, like Cullen and Leliana will have a similar reaction.

Returning to set sexualities doesn't mean DAO. I'd say they'd go to the 2/2/2 approach.
And I think Cullen will be BI in this case.

 

I have a feeling its going to be the Tevinter one (Dorian?). In the World of Thedas same sex relationships are frowned upon in Tevinter although its acceptable to abuse slaves. Have a feeling he's going to be Bi or even gay.   He's a magister that wants to change Tevinter but that could also mean finally being able to love who he wants as well.  I think that would be a great part of the story/his arc but I could be wrong too.

 

I honestly think Cullen is a tossup between Bi Or Straight

 

I think Cassandra will be Bi.  Men and women gamers BOTH wanted to romance Aveline. They are not going to deny either fandom this time.

 

That said, I already prepared myself that the romances are NOT going to be as easily obtainable. We're going to have work for them this time.  I'm looking forward to it.

Hello guys! I've been off making you all a thing and haven't had time to check in regularly (the thread's grown around 300 pages in the meantime. You guys are amazingly prolific posters!). After seeing the latest news, I rushed to finish said thing before Cullen's announced as the bisexual companion we all know he will be  which would make my work irrelevant. 

 

There were so many sad posts over the ten-ish pages I read, and so many people are having difficulty mustering up hope. Thankfully I've made you all some hope to replace what you've lost. Anyway, here's that thing I keep going on about. I hope you guys like it!:

I'm going to run the marathon to catch up. Just wanted to say hey to get started. Spent the day at the hospital with my youngest (she's 25) while she had an emergency appendectomy.
