Lucky you - when i walk in I get this weird version of Riverdance as he dances on the chair, then sits, then slides up on to the back of the chair, then dances again.  Very offputting!

I really want to see him do some of these awesome things. He's always sitting perfectly normally in my game so far- think I'm missing out!

Was the Warden bit of the abyss quest absurdly glitchy for everyone else? As in, lose most of the dialogue and then getting frozen on someone's face with no way forward glitchy?

There are bugs in the dialogue there, yes. For me it froze on certain lines for exactly one minute (to the second) before continuing like normal. Very annoying, but I did eventually get through it.

i had to hit x to make it move forward, and it would obviously skip content because the lines never had any logical path to them. Then hitting X stopped working, and I was just stuck on a close-up of someone's face. Gah.

Are you on console or PC?

Only annoying bug I've encountered so far is that my sound likes to cut out during the worst possible moments. The cutscene by the trebuchet in Haven? No real idea what was actually said there, I just pressed frantic buttons in the hope my sound would come back. Meeting Dorian? Again no idea what was said. If it happens during a Cullen scene my controller may be going through the window.

Sera is a toughie to please, I swear. No matter what choice you pick for Winter Palace, she just dislikes it in general. Because nobles.

I'm close to booting Sera out of my Inquisition - are there any really good reasons for keeping her??

Haven't found any so far. I'm starting to think she doesn't like -anything- which is really irritating me because I wanted to really like her.

She's starting to remind me of Velanna, who I didn't like.  At all!

Velanna really grew on me for some reason, I think because although she was such a curmudgeon she was coming from a place of hurt and pride, and she had a bit of a softer side when my Warden finally became friends with her. She was still an absolute witch, but one that was fun to point at other people and watch the fallout

I like Vivienne too, because nothing is personal with her. She's in it for her own gain, and if her interests coincide with hers, she approves. It's not really about who the Inquisitor is at all. And although I'm really struggling with Cassandra's approval I like her so much more than I thought I would. She's a genuinely good person with her heart on her sleeve.

Sera on the other hand seems to be very stubborn and blinkered, and with no definitive reasoning for her ways :/ my Inquisitor tries very hard to be nice but it's like talking to a rude brick wall :/

Sera was besties with my Inquisitor, so she does like things. She just doesn't like your Inquisitor, in particular.

It's hard to please everyone in this game, some will like the way you think and act, and some won't. There's always other playthroughs to go differently about things and maybe then get the friendship of those you didn't get along with the first time around.

I have to shamefully admit that I had to leave Morrigan in camp for pretty much all of Origins to make her like me  she was fine to talk to, but disagreed with pretty much all my warden's decisions :/

Oh, I appreciate that, I'm just struggling to find her angle. Most characters I can pinpoint the "in" route with their personality, but she's very guarded with my Trevelyan and I'm not getting either approval or disapproval for almost anything I say so far, which isn't giving me much in the way of clues. I'd like to see her better side, so I'm persevering but at a loss.

I managed to max out her approval accidentally by pretty much just being a nice guy that helps the little people when he can. But really I feel like there is little logic to how to get approval with her and most of the time she gives you disapproval for pretty much every major decision. As a character I find her very hard to understand, even the things she says often make little sense to me :/

Seriously this game is so full of bugs… I had to redo one of the boss fights about 7 times because the cutscene after it always bugged by not giving me the conversation wheel at all!

Also has anyone else had the bug where you fall through floors? I just fell through the floor in the short hallway between Varric and Solas and for a while I was able to run around under Skyhold. And to my surprise THIS was there:

Spoiler

This is exactly what I did. Morrigan got stuck guarding my camp the whole game while pretty much everyone else got to go out and play.

The thing with Sera is that she's all front. She jokes and deflects, but she cares too much about everything and doesn't really understand anything. The whole reason she joins is to find some purpose in your existence. She's terrified that life has no meaning, that the Maker doesn't exist, that innocent people suffer for nothing, the whole "the world sucks and then you die" - she needs to find if there's any meaning to anything or if life's just a big joke and you're all the punchline.

But she won't sit down and have heartfelt conversations and tell you all about her hopes and fears. You have to catch them from the things she says, and spin them back on her. The sarcastic conversation option always works best on Sera, because you're not letting her deflect with humor, you're using your own cunning to trump hers and make her be honest (with you, and herself). But you're also not forcing her to own up to her fears faster than she can handle, as the diplomatic and pragmatic lines do. And saying you don't know every time she asks if you really are the Herald of Andraste makes her want to believe more than ever, whereas saying Yes I Am or No I'm Not both make her question her faith and your collective purpose even more.

Getting Sera's friendship is very much like getting Isabela's and Zevran's - you can't force your way into their affections, and you can't force them to open up to you. But you can disarm them with kindness, and make them face themselves with cunning, showing that you can see there's more to them than jokes, and letting them know that if they ever want to take the clown mask off for a minute, you're there to listen. That's pretty much all I did with Sera too, and in the end she ended up thanking my Inquisitor, because even though she never found her answers, she did at least find her purpose in their friendship.

Oh! Speaking of Sera; another thing I learned from my flirting experiments: you know how if you flirted with Anders even once, he fell in love with Hawke regardless of whether you actually pursued his relationship or not? (leading to the infamous jealousy scene in Act 3)

Well, I've found that just because you stop flirting with other people to settle down with your Cully-Wully, doesn't mean they'll just stop liking you. :? Bull and Josephine were happy to drop things once Quizzie entered a relationship with Cullen, but Blackwall and Sera kept dropping super heavy lines about only being here for her, how she's a beautiful/remarkable woman, and even in the epilogue
Spoiler

So yeah. I feel kinda terrible, overall. Lesson learned: don't play with people's feelings, kids. Sometimes they'll fall in love with you, and it'll take them a long time to recover.

This happened to me too - the music was a bit creepy, and I was starting to wonder if this was some kind of special event in the game that no-one had mentioned!  :D

As for Sera, most of the time I have no idea what she's on about.  It's not the accent, it's just the way she strings words together.  And tbh, I don't care enough to try and work her out.  Which is a shame, as I thought she was quite interesting, at first.

And Vivienne.  Sigh.  It's just like hanging out with one of my younger sisters.  They are so alike it's unreal.  But at least that means I can handle her!  :D

So, has anyone else noticed Cullen's odd bum wiggle in one of the cut scenes at the ball? Cos I crack up every time I see it.

I am not the only one?! Lol. I noticed Cole did the same thing in one of his cut scenes too. I am thinking it is supposed to be a hurried walk but it looks ridiculous!

Yeah, I like his name too and just throwing this out there, BioWare, but it totally suits my Quizzy. Ahmm...hint hint.

Well my Quizzy is nursing the hangover to end all hangovers today, after defeating the Crestwood High Dragon without Bull in the party, he still decided he wanted to celebrate the victory with drinks, poor Quizz went along with it and is suffering for it today, that'll teach her to try and keep up drink for drink with a literal tank of a man :D

I finally completed my specialization quest, Yay! Dorian is the only companion to comment on it so far, it seems Assassins give him slight cause for concern :D

The only recurring animation bug I get is from Varric, it happened both in Haven and now in Skyhold when you start talking to him, he has his arms folded but his feet and legs keep moving and bending, it's pretty funny lol.

I had one random crash yesterday, I expected it though, a rift didn't load any mobs even although my hand started glowing, I ran around but it didn't trigger, moved from the area, then a quick, clean crash to desktop happened, no error message or anything, when I loaded back in the rift triggered and everything was fine after that.

@ Adela, both of those hairstyles look brilliant! If the power of positive thinking works, you'll have them all into game in no time atall :D Happy Birthday (or belated, depending on time-zone) :wizard:

My internet cable chewing mouse won't go into the humane trap, there is cheddar and chocolate in it too, trust me to have a fussy mouse, dammit! I've seen the wee bugger though, it's a field mouse, teenie, tiny, it's just wandering about the room lol I don't mind wee mice but obviously I don't want it moving in and bringing it's family for Xmas :pinched: The dog is useless, just looks at it and shrugs, having said that, I'd freak out if the dog went for it, I want it out the house but I couldn't bare to see it hurt

Quizzy is off to have some alone time with Cullen before she heads off to do Here Lies the Abyss :)

Oh my Quizzy practices writing it every night before bed lol

Oh did he ever wear his lion helmet? I had helmets toggled off through out the first pt but switched it back on for the end of haven scene in pt 2 where it looked like he should be wearing it but he didn't.
