Or they activated this scene before talking to Dorian at Skyhold, since you have to actually speak to him and allow him to officially join the Inquisition before he'll be available as a follower, from Templar side. That happened to me - I spent at least a couple days playing without Dorian and wondering when the hell he was going to come back from Haven. Then the chess scene triggered with Leliana, I panicked and asked around if there was some special quest to get Dorian to come back asap... and found out he had been in the library the whole time, I just hadn't seen him there. Rolled back a save, officially accepted Dorian into the group, talked to Cullen again, and the chess scene triggered with Dorian this time.

It was typical DAI!Leliana fare, though, all creepy and murderous. (I did harden her at Haven, though, maybe she's less scary in playthroughs where she's not bats)

So apparently Cole will make a comment to Solas about Cullen and the Inquisitor's relationship. I haven't heard it myself but someone said he's says something like "Happiness Joyous and they embrace it" to which Solas replies "How could they not?"

I love Bull. I considered having my Trevelyan warrior bring only nobles to the ball, but I just couldn't resist bringing Bull, just to see how he would react to that question.

I took Bull, Sera, and Varric to the ball thinking it would be hilarious. Sera's introduction was pretty funny but beyond that she didn't do much. Couldn't find Varric for the life of me, and IB mostly hung around the snacks table eating candied nuts, LOL!

Warriors and archers always should follow themselves, dual-wielders should either defend or follow warriors (try both, see if you prefer them more proactive or reactive), and mages should either follow or protect the Inquisitor (except Vivi if she has Knight Enchanter, then should follow herself too).

Nope. The only banter I got about the relationship was a comment at the war table that some await the Inquisitor's return more eagerly than others.
