I took Bull, Sera, and Varric to the ball thinking it would be hilarious. Sera's introduction was pretty funny but beyond that she didn't do much. Couldn't find Varric for the life of me, and IB mostly hung around the snacks table eating candied nuts, LOL!
I think Varric was hiding because there were some Merchant's Guild members there and he was afraid or something.
Warriors and archers always should follow themselves, dual-wielders should either defend or follow warriors (try both, see if you prefer them more proactive or reactive), and mages should either follow or protect the Inquisitor (except Vivi if she has Knight Enchanter, then should follow herself too).

I prefer to head canon that he's not a virgin, though he definitely seems more the relationship guy type and not really the one night stand type. He could have been different when he first got to Kirkwall, but you don't see him then. The whole sweeping papers off the desk bit and taking the Inquisitor right there does seem more like a man who's much more confident sexually. I agree about the "rollin' in b!tches" thing, but his actions don't really lead me to think that it was his first time.
Not to come off a bit, but that last sentence kind of.....rubbed me a bit wrong. As someone who is a virgin, it makes it seem likesomeone like myself would be completely clueless/ignorant in the realms of sexual positions and situations, but I'm confident I would surprise a lot of people! I'm not looking to cause any trouble, as tumblr is currently doing that with these (in my opinion) completely baseless arguments. But, I would just kindly ask to be a little bit more....considerate? That's all I ask. But, yes, everyone should feel free to head cannon as they wish, and I chose to make him a virgin because it's what I feel comfortable with!

I couldn't' find Varric either! He's on the map, on the lower level...THERE IS NO LOWER LEVEL THAT'S OPEN DANGIT. XD

I was afraid to bring Sera. Her and all those nobles, Maker!
In my first playthrough I brought Dorian, Bull and Varric.
In my second playthrough I brought Viv, Cole and Bull. Viv and Dorian seemed to feel right at home. Cole didn't even get an introduction. Makes me wonder if he gets one if you've made him more human first.
I love Bull. I considered having my Trevelyan warrior bring only nobles to the ball
Must confess I took only high society people to the ball -Cassandra, Dorian and Vivienne- thinking they would be appropriate company to my noble Quizzie, and it was worth it for the loooooooong and pompous introductions to each one. My Quizz was already winning at the Game from the start just by the fifteen hours it took to introduce her party of notable and (seemingly) powerful Lords and Ladies following suit on her tracks. It was a veritable décadence avec élégance affair.
(it helps that Cullen has such a noble-sounding name too depiste being a commoner, I'll bet those snotty Cheeselords thought Quizzie was dating some charming highborn Fereldan prince too, on top of it all

Oh, don't worry I wasn't offended, per say, it just rubbed me a bit wrong. It was just how it sounded a bit matter-of-fact at the end. I'm positive you didn't mean it, intentionally, but it was more of just the assumption that experience=good in bed and lack thereof=awkwardness and not knowing what you're doing. Again, I'm 100% positive you didn't mean it like this, but I just wanted to point it out to you for the future that that is not necessarily how it always is. No harm done!
