I wonder if any of the devs realised that his hair isn't actually that curly despite Varric's nickname, making me wonder if "Curly" is actually a sly reference to how exposed he found himself after he epically lost that game of Wicked Grace...?
I don't know, his hair looks like it's got a little bit of a curl on my screen? Like, it's barely there, but it's noticeable enough that it hints that if it were longer than it was in the game, it'd be curly, at least in comparison to other people's hair (eg: Dorian).
Might just be me though.
Did anyone figure out how to get Cullen to play chess with Leilianna yet? I have a new playthrough where I sided with the mages, and only tried to use Dorian in that mission...and it didn't work.
I wonder if you have to side with the templars, and tell Dorian that you don't need him?
I think it's a call back to his DA2 ramen hair. And the fandom's obsession with it.Thank you for voicing my thoughts. It's either that or Varric is nostalgic about his DA2 hair.
I know. He looks down for a second then cheers! LOLIt's the fact that it's only the Bull who doesn't bother to get up and turn around, which really started me laughing like a madman...
yes. this is what I was told.Did anyone figure out how to get Cullen to play chess with Leilianna yet? I have a new playthrough where I sided with the mages, and only tried to use Dorian in that mission...and it didn't work.

I think his Orlesian fans were definitely a gentle nudge at the Cullenites (though I'd really like to find a way to get him out of that, sheesh, a couple of them are over the top). And I agree with R2, it's a callback to the ramen hair ![]()

Iron Bull looking up and watching Cullen run off pretty much killed me. ![]()
LMAO, I totally didn't see him copping an eyeful! Genius! Also daaaaaaaaaayum! ![]()
I've played through both as well and I think I preferred the pro-mage arc. As you said, Cullen is a lot more angsty, but for me it was

So I agree with you...a pro-templar Cullen seems to be much more business-together...and a pro-mage Cullen seems to be laid more bare, which gives a deeper story, in my opinion. This is because if you go pro-templar, the Venatori become the "bad guys to focus on." If you go pro-mage, the red templars are allowed to grow and become the focus.
Yeah I agree, while it was sad to see Cullen be so much more desperate during the
I wonder if any of the devs had any idea what they were creating in DAO when someone decided it would be funny to have a shy, smitten Templar who ran off if you flirted too heavily with him?
LOL yeah that's something I've always wondered, cause it seems like Bioware was (pleasantly?) surprised at the reaction to Cullen. Making him be all adorable that way was just asking for it, come on. ![]()

Especially funny since Cullen gives you that helpless, pleading look, begging you to get up and turn around, but doesn't seem to mind Bull's presence. That, combined with his good-humor when walking in to see Bull's exposed dingaling, makes me feel like they've both had man-to-man discussions about ...things... during their sparring sessions. He doesn't want to embarrass himself in front of you since you're his leader/romantic interest, poor babe - but he's developed enough of a sense of camaraderie with Bull that he thinks Bull won't judge him too hard about it. Basically, they're chummy with each other, and that makes me happy. ![]()
...Or maybe he just thought Bull was asleep, but I'll just pretend that the first scenario happened. LOL.
Wooow... so my entire clan was slaughtered. And no one mentions it. And I have no dialogue options to talk about it.
Nice.

Ugh. That depends on how you do the missions, by the way - it's not inevitable. But they did drop the ball with the no reaction thing.
Yeah, I figured. Unfortunately, I have four saves, with three being outside Skyhold and one just for Skyhold. So when I'm in Skyhold I save over the same save again and again. So I couldn't backtrack to a time before that decision.
But it's clearly just words on a paper with no game reactivity. I'll simply pretend it didn't happen. *shrugs*
I think I'm gonna go on with What Pride Has Wrought and attempt to finish the game. I'm thoroughly bored and disenchanted and just want to see what happens at this point before I get spoiled ![]()
So I just eavesdropped on a continuation of the noble's discussion in the main hall:
Wooow...

That's been one of the complaints about the Dalish content, kind of a major oversight in reactivity (including the inquisitor's own). Killing nugs apparently is more traumatic to people ![]()
Are we 100% sure there is no reaction though? Like has a dev confirmed that there is no content related to that? Seeing as a fair amount of content to do with companions and dialogue is bugged and not firing correctly there could be some reaction scene but we’re just not getting it.
Ohh... so if you guys don't know yet, the "t!ts bouncing" line is Bull's, but it's not creepy (shockingly lol). It is a romance line! A jealousy line... I had the option to ask him who else he'd been with, and he said he'd hook up with the serving girls because they were so often overlooked and worked so hard, and he would just show them a good time, tell them their t!ts looked good when they bounced on top of him lol (or something like that) but then he stutters and says, that was before us, it's just you and me now!
Quite cute ![]()

I feel like I remember one person talking about it to my Inquisitor. Pretty sure it was Josie.

I went to her but there were no new dialogue options.
