Did my Dalish inquisitor seriously just ask Morrigan who Mythal was..................................
*snort* Really?? That's not exactly obscure Dalish lore, that would be like a human raised in the Chantry asking who the Maker is. ![]()

Yeah. They should have found a better way to clue in all the players who wouldn't know the lore their characters would. But if I recall correctly it's an investigative, optional question.

No kidding; I can even hear Merrill in my head using her name as a curse!
Aaaaand my computer just shut down during the Temple of Mythal cut scene. WTF.

Yeah, there are a lot of optional questions that I don't bother asking as to why they are optional I guess. They knew that not everyone would have to ask. talking to Krem comes to mind. There are plenty of questions that I didn't ask him because my Inquisitor just accepted him for who he was so why pry when she wasn't curious?

Like simply phrasing it as "Morrigan, what do you know about Mythal?" ![]()

That reminds me of Spoony's review of Ultima 9. 'The Codex of Ultimate Wisdom? This is like the Pope asking what the effing Bible is!' Ahh, good times.
Like simply phrasing it as "Morrigan, what do you know about Mythal?"
Or, "Why is there a Temple to Mythal out here?"
Or really anything except "What is that?" LOL

Haha, everyone is going to like different things but the templar play-through is more to my liking when it concerns romancing Cullen. I am starting to convince myself to trash this play-through and go back to siding with the templars. It is how I wanted to see Cullen, for me, it is perfect to my tastes. Just the right amount of angst, cuteness, humour and love. When you chuck in the added angst from his nemesis quest, for me personally, it is just that little bit unnecessary.

Yeah I agree, I do want to do a pro-Templar playthrough at some point just to see the differences as well. Though honestly, I don't think choosing a pro-mage playthrough inherently means that I'm not allowing Cullen to move past what he's gone through.
I was really surprised by Cullen in this game. I was pretty neutral on him, but he has some truly shining moments in this game. One that I particularly liked was a little conversation at the war table after the 'Wicked Eyes' quest. Leliana's ending words are gold!
Hey guys, question for you. I'm currently almost done with my sword n' board Champion PT and I love her. She seems to fit well with Cullen, as I had it in my head that they would spar together. I want to play one of each class/sub-class, so how would you think a human two-handed Reaver would fit with him?
I do plan on playing through with IB and Blackwall once, and I already have those laid out. The Cullen romance is by far my go-to though, lol.
I already played a human mage (knight enchanter) with Cullen and have a Dalish mage (rift mage) doing the same (to see any story differences). I have a Qunari archer that will be with Blackwall, and I will roll an assasin rogue for IB (not sure on race but it will be one that can't get ninja-manced by Cullen, lol).
Re. the mage/Templar stuff, I also think even the terms pro-Templar and pro-mage don't really apply to Inquisition anymore, as you can still be pretty anti-mage and/or anti-Templar while still recruiting that faction, if you want to. By conscripting the mages your character can (optionally) make a firm stance that they're not helping the rebellion but taking the rebels prisoner for it, and by disbanding the Templars your character can (optionally) state that they believe the Order is lost and needs to be extinguished. You don't necessarily have to agree with that faction to have a playthrough where you work with them.
Of course, you didn't necessarily have to agree with either the mages or Templars to side with them in Origins or DA2 either, but it was much more understated and went quickly into headcanon-land. This time you can go Templar-side or mage-side without being pro this or pro that, and you can actually say it out loud, I don't like any of this mess, but you lot are what I'm stuck with, so let's make this work. It's a good and refreshing change to let your character voice their/your frustration in-game, so you can experience the other faction's content without forcing yourself through a path you're not comfortable with, or taking it all into convoluted headcanon justifications. Evens the playing field for everyone.
LMAO, I totally didn't see him copping an eyeful! Genius! Also daaaaaaaaaayum!
I watched that whole scene the first time w/ my jaw on the floor. Had not read about it, was not expecting it....
It was all I could do not to break my self-induced blackout right then to come here and dance around. So. Much. Fun. ![]()
in the modding thread I came across this it made me sad
- Cullen's dance animation [Cut content]
I wonder if we will ever get to see it
Omigosh there was supposed to be more??? I'm hoping anything they had to cut might show up in DLC. I really hope they do a big expansion though, we need bigger missions to spend power points on. What I'd like to see
1. Something akin to Awakenings where we get a second smaller base to customize and have character cut-scenes in. Skyhold lite ![]()
3. Expand on romances. Citadel was my absolute favorite DLC for a reason
. Inquisition is in a rare position in terms of a love side-story. Unlike ME3 there's a possibility for an expansion that takes place after the main story and unlike Origins most likely won't take the protagonist away from her team. We had a sort-of engagement with Alistair but no wedding cut-scene (mods don't count
) Sebastian's wasn't on-screen either and was a chaste marriage (plus his romance was lack luster and barely there) . I've always wanted to see a proper engagement/wedding in a romance story and Cullen's could be perfect for it. It would be optional of course, Cullen could ask the Inquisitor how she felt about marriage and your reply would result in a proposal later on. It would be perfect!
4. More hair and more outfits. Hoping for a winter ball mark 2 where the Inquisitor can wear a dress this time *grumble*
5.
6. Oh and a storage chest!
The game was stellar and I'm about to play again but it needs a meaty expansion and story DLC.

Lol, I conscripted the mages and disbanded the templars. I am such a fence sitter, I didn't want to fully support either group, especially when both have pretty damning faults going for them. What did you do? I am wondering if I should 'support' the templars this time around.
I agree. When someone first asked me if I'd chosen pro mage vs. pro Templar, I didn't know what they meant. I wanted to recruit both the mages and the Templars to my cause, and it was annoying I could only pick one. I picked the Templars becauseRe. the mage/Templar stuff, I also think even the terms pro-Templar and pro-mage don't really apply to Inquisition anymore, as you can still be pretty anti-mage and/or anti-Templar while still recruiting that faction, if you want to. This is probably going to be a random post, but it is so nice to be among other Cullenites. ![]()
Oddly enough, he reminds me of my boyfriend (said boyfriend is quite amused by this fact).

Yup I agree as well, it's what I meant when I said a while back that choosing a side doesn't mean we actually support their ideologies. At this point I'm only using the terms "pro-mage" and "pro-templar" to signify the which side I managed to save first. They're definitely misnomers in the purely semantic sense.
