Starting over with a whole new girly and it better not still be bugged.

Lol, I have been told by Solas that I warrant no friendship nor respect from him. Solas, bro calm down, it is just a game.

It just annoys the hell out of me because if you look at all our companions/advisers eyebrows they all look fantastic though I think Leli's are a bit too thin for my liking. Why can't we get nice eyebrows too? Still pouting over here.

Congratulations modders! You made DAO so good (check avatar) and hopefully now they know you have swooped down on the new engine they will do a toolset. And maybe one day there will be an engine that can remember the PC's name. Wouldn't that be better than 'hey you'.

Hi all.   Just delurking after finally finishing my 137 hr playthrough. With a Cullen romance, of course.   I've really enjoyed your comments here over the last 100 pages or so, and managed to stay spoiler free mostly, which was tremendous.

 

My human noble circle mage was kind of a good-girl rule follower, who was really enjoying her first real freedom after a life in nobility/the circle.    She was planning on having a little fun riding the Bull, before maybe settling down with a nice ex-Templar, but then one sweet stuttering conversation about vows later, she was all Cullen, all the way.   Just wanted to re-iterate what others have said, about the lovely romance.   Will be very difficult to avoid that sweet guy next time through, but I will try - for science!   

 

Also, the story was amazing!   All the big chapter-ending story-quests had me absolutely awe-struck.   So many twists I didn't see coming.   Yes there was a lot of grind my my 130 hours, but that's the completionist in me getting carried away.   Next time maybe, I'll try to go story only.  Never mind about rescuing all the prisoners in the Emprise du Lion - who cares about them anyway?

I want to say congrats, but I'm actually a bit miffed that they didn't actually credit any of you by name despite displaying your artistic endeavors on their site, lol. I don't do modding myself but I personally find it really disrespectful when people post my creations without credit, so it was the first thing I was looking for in the article. Meh.

 

Either way, you totally deserve the recognition! The models you've created are fantastic.

You know how it was said that killing the wildlife in areas would have an effect? Does not killing them also have an effect I wonder. Nugs....I don't kill those wee cuties atall if I can help it, I went back to, I think it was, Emerald Graves and omg there are dozens and dozens of them, I think they may be planning a hostile takeover. I don't remember there being so many of them last time I was there, I think they are breeding out of control as I've been killing aggro bears and wolves I might not have left enough predators to keep the numbers in check, it's a Nug revolution! or it could just be my imagination but there certainly seems to be many more than before lol.

 

I'm having to back track for shards   I'd been collecting the easy ones but I have no patience for getting to the trickier ones, now I have an area to clear that needs loads of them dammit lol.

 

I was really struggling with the star puzzles, I'm hopeless at puzzles and these took the biscuit..only realised yesterday that my screen resolution must be slightly off as I have stars missing from the bottom of my screens, no wonder I couldn't complete them, 10/10 for observation to me that it's taken over a week to notice that

 

Got my ass handed to me again by a certain boss quest, didn't even get there, giants took care of my group    thankfully Solas was able to disengage and run away, like very fast I think I took the wrong party for that one, need to re-think my master plan lol my usual tactic for casual play of running in and hitting stuff doesn't seem all that effective in DAI

Congratulations! Wouldn't surprise me if BioWare offered you a job since you did a mod for an engine that was supposed to be very difficult to mod. Shows off your ability to work with complex game engines.

 

A suggestion - make sure your hiring package includes a very nice wage and one of your perks is to have Greg Ellis phone you (as Cullen, natch) every morning for your wake-up call.

lol I think the nugs might be taking over because you eliminated all their predators.

As for the astrarium puzzles, I didn't find them all that difficult. I've done these kinds of puzzles before and there is a trick to them:

Every star has an even number of lines coming from it (as your line needs to "leave" the point again after getting to it), except two - the beginning and end point will have an odd number of lines. Once you identify those, start at one of them and the rest should be relatively easy, just a matter of not painting yourself into a corner.

Okay I just finished the game last night and just wanted to pop in here and say I am completely and utterly melted over Cullen.  He was PERFECT. All those little moments... just.... MMMMFFFGFGG.

 

Could someone confirm for me if the romance differs if the Inquisitor is a mage? Mine was a rogue.

So, I done Cullen's romance the first time around siding with the mages, and this time around I'm siding with the Templars (only had the kiss scene so far). Is there that much difference in the two? I've seen you guys saying that in pro-templar he's less angsty since the whole Samson thing doesn't happen. Is it literally completely different dialogue/cutscenes in pro-templar? Or is it just that all the pro-mage stuff isn't mentioned so it isn't an issue, thus he doesn't mention it, leaving what content remains as fairly angst-free?

 

Column B. The romance content (cutscenes, conversations, etc) is exactly the same from either side, minus two flirt lines. It's just Cullen himself that comes across as a mellower person, more at peace with himself, because there's none of the angsty Samson/Red Lyrium stuff haunting him.
