Tbh, when they mentioned story-reasons I thought they was referring to Solas without directly pointing him out

 

Cuz I was perfectly willing to accept Cullen just being attracted to humans and elves 

 

 

Yea, all origins happen whoever you play as "survives"

 

Whether the mage was male or female remains to be seen, I think it was female IMO

 

But I don't think both male and female versions of all of them exist.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion,but personally I believe it's just a matter of resources and time,considering that he's a last moment romance option...Pretty much like Solas,these two were not initially intended to be romanceable hence the restrictions,because truth be told a dwarf/qunari romance would require additional animations.

In regards to the in-game romances, I'd say that was highly likely.

Cullen has most likely had minimal contact with dwarves and qunari, prior to meeting the inquisitor it’s quite possible that he has never even met a female of those races. Female qunari are rarely seen outside their homeland and I believe it’s a similar story with the dwarves. You just need to look at Origins and DA2. How many female surface dwarves have we seen? Heck prior to DAI female qunari technically didn't even exist.

Also given that he’s spent a large part of his life in the circles where the occupants are entirely composed of humans and elves it makes sense to me that he would mainly be attracted to them. It is most likely a resource issue as to why he’s only romanceable by elves and humans in-game but as for a story reason it could be as simple as he’s just not attracted to them, just like Dorian/Sera aren’t attracted to the opposite gender.

I don't know, I can honestly say, I can't see Cullen going for a Dwarf or Qunari.  Maybe I've been headcannoning him too long with Humans and Elves.

Or just realistic. What you're suggesting is like saying people that don't fancy the same sex as them are homophobic, or that people who don't fancy the opposite sex are straight-bashers.

People just like what they like, it's really as simple as that.

    While I can understand how some people might view it as racism (for whatever reason), I definitely do not agree. I view it more as preference. Would it be fun to romance him as a dwarf, or a Qunari, or even a purple-skinned lizard-monkey? Heck yes! But it is what it is.

 

    Cullen strikes me as the type to prefer humans or elves due to his past, but if the Inquisitor is a honorable, caring, and wonderful person then I think he would still love her even if she was a dwarf, or a Qunari, or a purple-skinned lizard-monkey. Why? Because he's a decent, damaged, wonderful man and any woman willing to be by his side, help him face down his demons, and care for him like the Inquisitor does is still going to mean the world to him. I think if the Inquisitor is a complete and total evil jerk, then no, he won't be with them but that has nothing to do with race and everything to do with being an a**hat. But hey, that's just my take on it.

Yeah Solas is a rather...Special case.And I'm glass he finally turned out to be a romance option.As for Cullen yeah,since he's not available to qunari and dwarves one could possibly interpret it however they like.But I still believe it's more of a practical matter than anything else.

And about Dorian's quest, I did try mentioning the possible bug to some devs on twitter, but so far no luck. I don't think they're even aware it exists.

 

I feel like they would have to be at this point?? Gah. 

 

I wonder if romancing him would make it appear. Because I will eventually do that, even if it's many moons down the road. But hopefully the game will be fully patched by then.

 

Yeah I was super disappointed; folks here got me excited that I'd get an extra romance scene with Mr. Bull after that quest *tear*

Don't forget about respect. I think whatever the race, Cullen respects man/woman the Inquisitor is for how they lead the Inquisition. I mean if you think about it, the stuff the Inquisitor has done alone is really amazing. 

 

Whether or not romance is pursued, I think Cullen cares for the Inquisitor on a deeply respectful level. And he recognize that the Inquisitor is an important person to all manners of life. 

 

Romancing and falling in love is just like an icing on a cake. But I think the most important thing about their relationship is respect as individuals.

I don't know, it seems to be a very random bug because no one can pinpoint its cause, so it's pretty possible the devs might have missed it. Each time someone suggests a cause, someone who did just that pops up to say it triggered for them anyway. And nope, some people trying to romance him got it too.

 

You should have asked in the Bull thread. People sometimes just assume the other romances are like the ones they did. Sorry you didn't get a scene.

So I thought if you brought your LI during What Pride Has Wrought there would be a special scene...? I didn't even get a cut scene... or a flirt option... when talking to Bull afterward lol

 

Also, Dorian is definitely glitched I got another greatly approves from him, and still no quest.

 

Dorian's quest is definitely bugged. I never received it on my first playthrough, but did on this second playthrough with the same amount of approval as the first time. Seems to randomly bug out.

Anyway, I am just glad we see Cullen as the character he is in this game. Someone pointed out in previous posts of how he could have turned into Carroll or Samson, but he got a major boost! Given how Samson turned out... I am so glad where he is now. 

 

I didn't fall in love with this character in previous games as some have, but I was curious after DA2. *sigh* now I love this dork. XD 

 

And love is a wonderful thing.

Well the fan blows REALLY REALLY HARD and then the computer shuts off.

 

It can't be a heat issue because it will do it when the PC's been on for just five minutes. 

 

I'm scared to download free software >.> it's a brand new computer. I think worse comes to worst I'll just call Dell; it's an alienware and they supposedly have great assistance. But so far only DAI makes it do this.

 

 

 

You don't have to worry about downloading MSI Afterburner, it's totally legit, provided you download it direct from their website. I don't put any bad programs on my computer. If things get too hot the computer will shut itself down as a safety measure, and my guess is that's your problem based on the symptoms you describe.

 

As I said, DA:I will put a computer through it's paces. Having heat monitoring software is a must. MSI Afterburner will monitor your GPU. HWiNFO is great to see everything else. I use both of these programs to watch heat and fan values.

I'd suggest going to Can You Run It to see if your PC meets minimum specs. My processor and GPU are at minimum but not recommended, and I can run everything on High.
