What is so bad about Bull's kink? Other than the fact that some people may not be into it? Is it really that detailed?!

Nothing - some people are just not into it. And it's not very detailed about what exactly they do in the bed (except for safe words being used and banter mentioning the PC being tied up) but it is very clear that Bull is the dom and the top and that he won't switch with you. None of that is clear in the first sex scene and he presents it as something the PC needs and if you deny needing it he tells you to call it quits.

He was an Orlesian officer who took money to assassinate an Orlesian general, used his men without telling them that was what they were doing, and they killed his wife, four children, and his retainers in the process. He ran when it came out and left most of his men to take the blame.

It could just mean such a thing exists in your relationship because he is so much bigger than you, and he wants to make sure you are always comfortable during intimacy. 

 

I honestly have determined that there does not have to be any kinky stuff in Bull's romance if you don't want there to be.

So whenever I have to go back to sky hold when I'm exploring I always finish what I have to do (crafting. War table etc), then before I head back out, every single time, I go up to the battlements and kiss Cullen before leaving.

Anyone else do this? lol

I melt every time he does that sideways grin after the kiss...

I also have the tendency to make a beeline for him once I come back from a difficult mission or something similar.

Pretty much what Chrys said. I'm glad it's in the game for those who want it, but I personally am very uncomfortable with any sort of power game within a relationship, and never play the kind of PC who would agree to be a sub. I can see what Arty is leaning toward, and eventually, I'll probably create a character that I head cannon that way for IB, but because I like IB himself and the relationship does become very loving later.

So can some of you guys tell me what bugs you have experienced in DA:I? The worst ones are preferred.

 

Mine would have be that earsplitting screech that happens randomly...I have no idea what causes it. Then at the end of DA:I I went to talk to Varric and he would not respond...as in he would just turn his head and then...nothing. The most annoying bug for me though is when the game fully freezes and forces one to shut down their system. That happened to me at least six times and every time it would do it whenever it was autosaving so it glitched up my files and set me back two hours.

 

WEWH not triggering and I'm romancing Cullen damn it all to hell and back.

Oh yeah, I don't think he'd put the Quizzy out of his/her comfort zone or anything. I was just wondering if the tying up ends up happening whether you choose the more rowdy approach or not, because I'd have been interested in a playthrough if BDSM wasn't required. But I have listened to recordings of what Cole and Solas have to say about the romance so I guess it happens, now that you mention it. Oh well. Thanks for the clarification either way~

I just personally don't want to imagine a relationship with the sort of pain involved like with BDSM, but it doesn't mean it's wrong if two consenting adults are okay with it. But yeah, Bull's a fantastic character and I'm glad you enjoyed romancing him c:

I may have joined up on the forums just for the purpose of jumping into this thread :') *de-lurks*.

 

I wanted to ask if anyone has got a video or list of the things he randomly says whenever you bring him out for a kiss actually because I got this really adorable and sexy chuckle out of him once when my Inquisitor said "I need to borrow you" (It was amazing in the British voice too omg I can't remember if she stressed the "need" or "borrow" part). I'm a bit sad because I never screenshotted his response to that... I... my mind literally blanked after hearing the chuckle. It wasn't one of his usual embarrassed chuckles but like full-out low and husky chuckle and... I would really love to hear that but he's never repeated the line ever again to me.

 

Also, another one of my favorite lines from Cullen was "Give me a moment. Then I'm yours."   *swoons*.

So this is on my mind for a while: I'm trying to imagine the specific symptoms of lyrium withdrawal. I think each addictive substances has their own withdrawal symptoms or am I wrong? I'm curious on that subject. The game states it's not exactly pleasant and that it's agonizing. 

 

Headaches, weakness in the muscles, maybe... perhaps insomnia? Frequent nightmares? 

 

Have this forum talked about the specific symptoms?

I have not. And I had Alistair as a Warden and go through the ritual. Morrigan does not mention any father by name. Just says like "I'm a single mom. Deal with it."
