I think a Direct Inquisitor will either fluster him, or he'll approve of it. I could see him thinking a Noble Inquisitor naive. A Clever Inquisitor might amuse him, though, or irritate him.
I suspect that a more light-hearted Inquisitor might fluster him, like how his reaction to Snarky Hawke often seemed to be trying to understand how they could possibly joke in the middle of a crisis? Not a personality clash per se, but definitely not something he's often been used to dealing with amongst his peers, who often come across as quite serious.
He'll probably approve of a Direct Inquisitor's ability to lead, but not like them being callous. I suspect that he'll fall between Varric and Cassandra in terms of their idealism vs realism.
The closest I can come is to this little golden maybe crossed keys thingie on the doorway. But maybe the banners are it, whatever the symbol is for these things.
Oh yeah! I remember now! Wow it's been a while since I've thought about these. Here's was my one idea. There might be a bell here up on a pole, like the other two keep symbols. But I don't think I've seen a bell anywhere on the map. ![]()

Sorry to be such a wimp and waste a post asking about this, but does it have plot spoilers in it? ![]()
New article.
The last part makes me sad though.
"The war table itself is a mechanic in the game." Yes!

Ha! I think everyone treated Snarky Hawke as if they were one step away from turning into the Joker.
But, yeah, that's true. I guess it depends on what they mean by 'clever', and what kind of humor they use.
I'm torn between thinking Cullen's had most of his nobleness beat out of him, or that he's still clung to enough of it to make him willing to go out of his way to help people. Somewhere between Varric and Cassandra makes sense, but I think closer to Cassandra.

I'd better not answer that because if I do, David Gaider, the lead writer, will punch me in the face.
Gaider is certainly good at instilling fear in his co-workers ![]()
This is interesting.
"Another example of this kind of thing is, if I decided to recruit someone into my Inquisition, I can make them an agent of the Inquisition. Now that does a couple things. One, it unlocks a couple advanced perks for the Inquisition. But it can also open up specific missions on the war table which are continuing the story of that particular agent. So it's more direct, and there are direct rewards."
I can't tell if this means you recruit the mages and so you have mages as your agents, or if it means certain individuals. Hmmm.

Yeah. That doesn't sound promising about Varric. ![]()
Anything new happen while I was gone?
Yeah. That doesn't sound promising about Varric.
I feel like if I worked at Bioware I'd be more likely to joke about something people want not being in the game if I knew it actually was in the game? But maybe that's the "pessimistic and not interested in Varric" part of me talking.
This is interesting.

It sounds like, to me, that you're recruiting other NPC's and then converting them into Agent power. Sort of like the thing they did with ME3, whatever that was called.
I just hope this means I can recruit Zevran, and Anders! ![]()
It also solves the cameo problem of having past characters show up for no reason, you can recruit them into the Inquistion.
This is interesting.

Further into the article it made it sound like me might have to choose between mages and templars or something like that? That makes it even more annoying that we don't have a proper Templar companion. Again.
Gaider is certainly good at instilling fear in his co-workers
I'm torn between wanting to make an affectionate Darth Gaider joke... and the fear that he'll see it and then proceed to make Varric, Cassandra and Cullen enter into a threesome that the Inquisitor isn't allowed to be involved in, just to punish me directly!

I'd pay good money to see that!Gaider is certainly good at instilling fear in his co-workers
The part about bringing mages in rather than templars.....could that mean Vivian and Cullen could have their companion status reversed, depending on which you choose? I really hope so.....
Hey guys, I'll be popping in randomly today, no time to really catch up. What's new in the DA news?

I know. I'm afraid to joke too much about the devs out of fear they'll just go "No Cullen for you!" on me.
It also solves the cameo problem of having past characters show up for no reason, you can recruit them into the Inquistion.
Hmmm still no info on the pre ordering for xbox...le sigh
