where exactly is your problem?
The entire quest is my problem! Ugh.... I really hate everything about it. I'm lost because everything looks the same and having a time limit is making the entire thing unbearable. I keep saying all the wrong things, and I don't know who I can talk to because I'm a mage and I'm not supposed to talk to nobles, except a very few. I did get to the point where I had to dance with the Duchess. Is there any way not to have to? EVERYTHING I said to her was wrong and I ended up dead after that twirl on the dance floor. Dying because of saying the wrong things during a dance I didn't want? Why is this even in a freaking video game??! I don't want to be in a situation where saying the wrong thing at a party could get me killed. It's like the worst nightmare for a social-phobe like me.... (Seriously, this whole quest has brought me to tears. I can't handle pressure like this is real life, let alone in a video game. I'm only glad I'm not really dead.)
I was much happier in the Fade during the Broken Circle quest in Origins. More intuitive and not full of getting locked out of areas that you needed to loot early on so you could progress.
Sorry, I don't even know how I can be helped other than someone just saying, don't do this because you won't get to dance with Cullen, or something. I need to just have my hand held through the entire quest from a written walkthrough, or something. ![]()
Thank you, Ninetozero, for your tips. I'll see if I can manage any of it.
I'm Not going to get my hopes up in them fixing the texture loading issues on last gen.
Well it's one of most visible problems so at least hope they will ^^; It makes whole game look awful at times and ruins the experience at least for those who got them a lot.
Err how can that happen? I mean for reasons I ignore completely, Dorian & Solas & Cass had all considered my Quizzy good friend, with Dorian being the first one. I mean I had done nothing that he even slightly disapprove!
For people who don't do artworks or fanfics, how about taking screenshot of your favourite Cullen moments?
For some reason, Cullen's romance is my favourite out of the 3 DA games. Weird, his was a last minute add-up. I must say, Alistair & Fenris are still wonderful people.
Greg's Ellis brilliant. It's not only his voice, it's how he plays with his voice to give emotions to everything Cullen said. Personally I still like Steve Valentine's voice a bit more but somehow Greg's way of voicing Cullen helps me to connect with the character much better. Greg's definitely talented. He literally put some life & soul into Cullen.
Yes the Alistair and Fenris romances are still very good, all time favourites. And I enjoyed them a lot.
Valentine has a more pleasing voice as does Emery. But Greg was able to convey a lot of emotion in the lines he had. Some how letting me (and I presume many others) to connect to Cullen. Hence for me Cullen has stolen top spot. ![]()

Where does Cullen actually come from? Other than Ferelden.
I'll put the rest of my comments in spoiler tags because it's about when we find out his last name:

And now in visual form!
When the guy at the ball first announced that...all I thought of was Shale....I have played way too much DA:O.
Me too - must go and have a look around in my current pt - I'll be standing outside the houses wondering which one he grew up in... ![]()
the inquisitor nearly disappears in that last shot jfc.
He does dance though, it just fades to black fairly quickly as they begin. Presumably his dance file found by the modders is just the animation from that scene?
Agree with Lola. It's not that short. I have quite a few screenshots from it. They move across the floor before it ends. I also don't think the animation was actually cut. I can't imagine there being a whole different animation needed.
Hi all! Just popping in to ask a question. Are there any special dialog options with a romanced Cullen during perservance quest if you are a templar? I am curious as I am currently playing as a male trevelyan templar and there is nothing special in this quest expect one extra comment from Cass when she said something like Cullen would be the first one to get rid of lyrium and you (Inquisitor) may have to look up to him someday.
I haven't seen this one answered yet, altho I never actually picked the templar spec.
Reposting for the morning crew!
I meant to post about this this morning.
PAGE 4000 DISCUSSION:
I think we should do something, although I think it can be low key. I don't know that everyone has had time to create new works recently since we've all been feverishly finishing the game (I've been trying to peck at my next Chocolate and Sex story, but it's been reaaalllly slow going).
But maybe it can just be pics of our Inquisitors with Cullen or general screenies of Cullen or something to demonstrate our love of actually playing the game?
Thoughts?

I like this idea, just a good celebration of romancing Cullen ![]()
When are we aiming this to be exactly?
Hmm. I feel like Cassandra deserves to be here. I just don't know. This is hard. I know it doesn't really matter probably. I'm trying to remember the last time I upgraded her stuff lol
Or I'll chicken out and bring BAMF Viv. Cass and Viv. Or Bull and Viv. Bull eats up potions though. Urghghgh.
I somehow always bring Cass & Varric. Cass' the one who made the whole Inquisition possible, I feels like cheating her to not bring her everywhere (just like I aoways bring Alistair around). Varric's well... had always been in my party since the first time I ever got him in DA2. I can't recall a single time in my 3 PTs of DA2 of not bringing Varric around. Just love him.

Greg's really wonderful. How he can manage to put so much emotions & soul into a character I don't know. I've seen some recordings of him on youtube doing other characters and it's just mindblowingly different from Cullen. Greg, wow.
I finished my first rogue pt last night, I rushed the end story quests though, I knew I would end up doing that, I just wanted to see what happened lol. I still clocked in at around 90hours and had quite a few bitty quests left to complete.
Did anyone else notice in the ending credits the mention of #IPLAYBIOWARE under the "with thanks to"? Chachi is immortalised
awesome!
End gamey & general stuff nothing major but spoilered for safety ![]()
I started another run late on last night, back to being a mage, just got her to Haven before my eyes were hitting my desk lol I'll hopefully be a little more patient this time around and complete more of the side quests and collect all those damned shards lol, I don't mind the quests atall but my lack of patience got the better of me in that last run.
I'll try and grab some screenies of Gina & Cullen for page 4000! ![]()
Is there a risk that you can miss the "a prayer" scene with cullen? I'm concerned I missed it (have already triggered the final quest :S)

I felt really guilty when I finished Cullen's romance and decided his was THE best romance I have had in DA. I absolutely love Alistair but Cullen has just pipped him. With the amount of content he had, his story was really well told and Greg's emotional imput (He practically had me in tears at one point). He did an amazing job with Cullen.
Artemis - argh you're probably in bed but I totally want to squee about the post credit spoiler thing. So I'm gonna squee away anyway.

Naked Cullen is watching you. Stalking you in the shadows. And you are probably totally fine with it.

Actually, even Cullen wouldn't get a free pass on stalking me. Especially not naked. That's just wrong. >_>
...lol I'm kinda wondering now if anyone threw the flycam over that scene. xD

As much as I looooove Alistair and Fenris, I think the fleshing out of Cullen's character throughout the three games really made him a healthier, happier choice for a partner than the other two. Plus, like you said, Greg is amazing at being able to add so much emotional texture into his voice, and that makes him so much nicer to connect with. I'm so happy that we've been given an actual happy, relatively drama-free romance for once. Healthy and happy is nice!
