Alistair's quite healthy but he's still a bit green back then in DA:O. Guess that if we meets Alistair in DA:I instead of DA:O, he might be much more mature probably. I actually like how he becomes if he stays Warden.

You're right, he is. I guess I should have said healthier--saying this because of the many hearts that were broken after he is faced with a position of power (thankfully, I spoiled myself a bit to avoid this from happening to my Wardens).  I agree with you again on how he turned out as a Warden--and the way he talks about your Warden if you romanced him is increeeedibly sweet. So sweet he gave me cavities and I loved him all the more for it. My favorite version of him in Inquisition is as a Warden, which becomes somewhat of an issue

isn't it possible to get Solas to admit to some relationship in the past with a spirit (I haven't seen this myself, just seem to recall seeing it)? I'm not sure it's impossible, at least at some level. That said, I'm not sure it could end happily, however, and unless they mature him a lot, it would also be quite a bit over the top.

I totally agree. Though from the Inquisitor's dialogue with human-like Cole it sounds like he'll start to develop the need for sustenance eventually, so if they do consider making him romanceable I assume they could explain it away by saying he'll start to age like a human too.

 

Personally, I have absolutely no desire for a romance with him for the same reason as you. I'm perfectly fine with protecting him like the precious baby he is forever

I highly doubt they would retroactively make Cole an LI considering how much time and grief they spend spelling out why he isn't an LI for DAI.

on the other hand, if it was a real thing... i'd rather go for a platonic kind of relationship for him

As am I, truth be told. I've heard about it here on the boards, but as far as seeing it in game (though I really wouldn't know for certain considering I actually haven't even finished lmao) I haven't seen anything regarding it.

And you'd think that if it were in the game itself that it'd be on youtube by this point, but I haven't been able to track it down there either...

Sooooo I've been reading all of these wonderful posts and I am soooo glad to not be the only one daydreaming about Cullen outside of the game. I have a 40 minute commute one way so I got time. Is it bad that I wanna write a fan fiction that kills off my quizzy and gives cullen a peaceful, no war, no bad luck, no terrible things happening happy ending?? I love my dalish fem quizzy, but that man needs to be cut some slack!

Re: Cole.  I thought TPTB stated that Cole was never going to be a love interest because he was too child-like.  Although, they did say that Cullen would never be romance-able (I think?!), and here we are.  Personally, though, I like Cole the way he is.  He's like my Inquisitor's little spirit-human hybrid baby that she gets to obsessively mother hen and nurture.

 

And...  I finally finished the Cullen romance.  Wow.  It's official, I'm CULLEN 4 LIFE, RIDE OR DIE.  Such a great romance.  I admit, I was not a huge Cullen fan before DA:I.  I decided to romance him for my first play-through so I could just see the content, get it out of the way and then move on to more "interesting" romances.  It backfired spectacularly, because I'm not even remotely interested in doing the other romances now.  I just rolled an elf meant for Solas, but I keep eyeing Cullen longingly let me love you bb!!!  I don't know if I can stay strong...  Help me pls, I need support, lol.

I loved how a Warden Alistair spoke about my Warden who was/is romancing him, I also loved how he spoke about her in his DA2 cameo too, but particularly in DAI because he was so sweet about her and was clearly sad to be away from her and desperate to join her as soon as the Grey Warden issue was over.

The minute he said "after this is all over I'm going to join her and we'll be together forever this time" I knew something was going to go horribly wrong, I thought the letter I was going to receive back from my Warden would turn out that she'd died or something! Fortunately she hadn't, but then I had to make that awful decision of sacrificing Alistair or Hawke, I sacrificed Hawke because I couldn't do it to Alistair I'm far too attached to him... so I changed my long standing DA:O canon to make Alistair King and changed my Warden Amell into a Cousland so that she could marry him (since I don't like the hardening him and being his mistress thing, especially since my Warden is also supposed to be me)... I'm not happy about being forced to choose between my DA2 protagonist and my DA:O's protagonist's love interest. I actually take a huge issue when we're forced to completely ruin a long standing built up canon just to stand a chance of keeping characters alive. Feels like BioWare's King Alistair canon is being forced on us.

Despite how iffy him being there seemed at first, I totally came to think of Cole as a baby.  Not the inquisitor's baby, but only because it felt like Varric ninja adopted him before I got the chance to. =P
