Have you done a play-through siding with the templars?

Noooooo..... Will that cause something awful to happen to my baby Cole?????  :o

EDIT: Oh, good. It's just something Cullen says about Cole in Haven. I will definitely get to that the next playthrough when I side with the Templars.

Yeah, Cole really seems to like, heck, if not even adore Cullen. Especially given with how many comments I've heard him make in one playthrough.

Sorry, my browser crapped out so it took me a while to get the edit in. Dependent on what conversation options you choose there is dialogue with Cullen about Cole in Haven.

No, just some extra scenes with him since that also doubles as his recruitment mission.

edit: Oh, maybe I didn't understand the question.

Does anyone knows whether it's possible to get only Patch 1 but not Patch 2 if I re-install the game from 0? (I have the disk here).

Patch 1 was done when you installed your game initially. It was a Day 1 patch.

Cole talking about Cullen is way too sweet. And I think i heard something about Cullen growing fond of Cole? though i'm not really sure it's actually said in game or if it's just wishful thinking.

Yup I got that. But I'm uninstalling & re-install everything today because I don't want Patch 2 but I want Patch 1. Possible??

I somehow picture that most advisors/companions see Cullen as really positive person. And somehow Cassandra's subtly supporting him mentally with that problem he face on his personal quest. She's keeping an eye (or two) on him on their agreement right?

Cole's really like Cullen apparently

Blackwall holds Cullen very highly (he had such a sad line about Cullen probably not wanting to have anything to do with him, after his personal quest). Iron Bull really respects Cullen, for all the teasing he does (he mentioned several times to me how Cullen was a good man, a good general, etc). Sera and Dorian talk about Cullen like he's a puppy and your relationship with him is more amusing than anything. Varric has the whole "Curly's just here to look pretty," but I get a sense he respects Cullen for surviving Kirkwall and still retaining his sanity through it. Vivi had zero opinions on Cullen, but I totally headcanon her poking fun at my Quizzie for dating a dog-smelling Fereldan everyman, such a quaint match for Lady Trevelyan's high state as Le Inquisiteur. ;) I don't remember now what exactly Solas said about Cullen the one time he mentioned him, but I remember it was a slightly backhanded compliment, something like he's a nice guy for a Templar. Cassandra definitely likes and respects Cullen, as we can see through his personal quest.

And then there's Cole. Cole has such a baby crush on Cullen, I can't. I joked once about Cullen being Cole's indirect ghost daddy, since my Quizzie mothers Cole so much, but I think Cole really wouldn't mind that notion, calling him soft and gentle all the time. Papa Cullen has such fluffy pauldrons to snuggle against, after all. :P

That's it! I have to uninstall/reinstall. That patch completely made my game unplayable. I can't get through on cut scene without crashing to desktop. They didn't improve stability. They made it worse.

I wonder what Leliana think of him actually, she was with my Amell Warden back in the Broken Circle quest in DA:O. Well, that was when Cullen was at his lowest no?

I love how nearly all the companions express a high opinion of Cullen. Bull and him spar together, Dorian jokes around with him, Varric tries to get him to lighten up and watch his health, Blackwall cares for his opinion, etc. Also, you are totally right about Cassandra's influence as well - it's like she knows that he can do it and refuses to give up on him because she knows giving up on him will "destroy him". (Which, I think, points pretty directly to how he'll probably turn out if you don't support him in that decision >_>) I feel like all of them instinctively know that Cullen is a gentle soul deep down, and Cole just reinforces this fact to you. That soft, noble sensibility Cullen always had in the beginning of Origins really shines through in Inquisition and I am glad that my favorite characters pick up on it the way we can.

And yeah, I was sincerely hoping for some interaction between Cullen and Leliana the way people were hoping for more comments about Hawke from Cullen. I mean, I understand that not everyone brought Leliana along to that mission and that there's no way details as minute as that would have been included in the Keep, but it was a little disappointing that neither of them mentioned anything at all. Even if they only met for a few minutes. I guess I'll chalk it up to the fact that Leliana realized Cullen didn't wish to speak about his experiences at Kinloch and they both just never brought it up. Cullen does say he's never talked to anyone about it, anyhow.

I can't believe this bug fix made everything so bad! I don't know what to expect on my system, but I won't be installing this "FIX" until I know it's safe to. I've learned to manage my problematic version of the game with Patch 1.

I definitely mother Cole, how could I not? And he calls you his friend so early on, it is adorable. Well that is what I got from what he said, anyway, lol. In fic Laurel will be very attached to Cole and she will be the most sneakiest of Inquisitors when she try's to set Cullen up on father/son dates with Cole. Mwahahahaha.

Varric cares about Cullen, despite his teasing IMO. Remember that Wicked Game scene? And his insistence of both of them speaks more? And about how Cullen's serious expressions all the time is unhealthy (that lines from early on when we asked Cullen about do you know Varric from Kirkwall).

The lack of Cass/Hawke and Cullen/Hawke interaction disappointed me greatly. Ah well, can't have it all.

i think it's cullen's thing for helping and protecting people. cole really, really gets attached to people who have that, like rhys - i sort of. i sort of see some parallels, you know?between a 'paragon' inquisitor/cullen and cole and cole, evangeline and rhys. and cullen respects that too, i think, after he gets over the whole demon thing.

cole just loves the people who are good to people and good to him so much. he's so lonely and lovely and sad ): if i could i would wrap both of them in the comfiest blankets available and give them a giant mug of hot chocolate with a ton of marshmallows. or something equivalent.

Well, my Elven Quizzy just had a long chat with Josephine about being Dalish, and the stupid tales people tell about them - very interesting!

I'm having to reinstall too, I can't bear it. Have origin updates switched off so hopefully I will avoid re downloading that 'patch'. sigh

Cole had just won a permanent place on my Mage!Quizzy playthrough... Excited to bring him on explorations to get the bater. Before, I got my DW rogue specced just like his so I can't really bring him on.

Now both him & Varric will be on all the time.

Somehow, I imagine that Cullen's getting not too comfortable around Cole. Cole reads Cullen's mind & deepest fears & everything he wished to keep just for him, and say that loud.

I'm hoping with the auto update switched off to get a pop up for the patches and it's just a case of adding the right one. That's what I am hoping any way.

Make sure auto update is switched off though.
