Wow, you guys. This patch is really bad.

So, I stuck the day one patch files back into my freshly reinstalled (from the physical disks) DAI directory and my existing saves now work. The 60fps are also back. It's so smooth and nice looking. No Patch 2 for me until it's been fixed. Crisis... kind of averted?

Has Bioware acknowledged the bug where Cullen disappears after Sera's pranks? I want to bro it up with Cullen but I can't finish his personal quest. I'm asking because they didn't fix it this patch, even though it's supposedly widespread. I also mentioned it in the feedback section, but no one replied because of the speed threads are coming and going on that board.

If you start a new game, for some reason the "old lady" complexion is in the complexion slider three times and it was never there to begin with. I don't even know how that happens.

I found it twice I think before the patch so it was there for me at least, lol!
Does anyone know what Bioware has said on what the patch has done and if they intend to fix it...if so when?
Oh and could someone tell me if PSN is still down?

I never remembered seeing, but I guess that doesn't mean it was never there.
And check Adela's post above about a command line fix for your graphics settings. It's a link to a post by Conal Pierse but it, unfortunately, won't revert the old lady complexion until the hotfix is out.

Hey Everyone,
We're working on getting a hot fix out for the PC graphics issue as soon as possible. In the meantime, here is a workaround you can try:
To start, make sure the quality setting you choose is equal to the setting set for Mesh Quality inside Options>Graphics
You will need to add a new command line parameter. To do this:
Through Origin:
- Right click on the Dragon Age Inquisition title
- Go to game properties
- Type the command line parameter in the Command Line Properties box.
Through shortcut:
- Right Click Shortcut
- Go to Properties
- Under target go to the end of the field and type the command line parameter into the box
Once there, add the following command line parameter: -ShaderSystem.ShaderQualityLevel <quality setting>
In this instance, <quality setting> should be one of the following:
- Ultra
- High
- Medium
- Low
An example of how to set your quality to high would be: -ShaderSystem.ShaderQualityLevel High
Please note that once the hot fix is out, you will need to go back in and remove this workaround from your command line.
It’s also important to note that pre-patch 2, all users on PC were being forced to use the Ultra shader quality. This means that those of you playing on lower settings will notice a decrease in quality, particularly players using low or medium settings.
To achieve the same visuals as pre-patch, users on lower settings will need to change their settings to Ultra, which should likewise be used in conjunction with Ultra mesh quality. Mismatching the mesh and shader settings will result in other visual artifacts like overly shiny hair.
Please be aware that changing settings to Ultra may impact performance on some machines.
Sorry about any frustration this may have caused.
I found this, if it helps anyone. Not sure if you have all seen it or not. ![]()
Edit: Heaps of people are saying it works.

So I come back from the work day, expecting to hear good news about the new patch, but hear the worst outcome...
This makes me sad as a PC user. I bought the game for my PC for a good reason.... ;_;
On another news, I found a tumblr post about a workaround with the "no banter" bug: http://pyreo.tumblr....ge/104690413405
I haven't tried it myself yet (bc Origin will automatically update the "new" patch)... but *sigh*

Yeah I remember it so vividly because it nearly gave me a heart attack the first time I saw it...*shudders* One could create a rather witch-like character.
Well I am lucky in the sense that I have DA:I on PS3 so I don't think I noticed too many quality issues...since they were so bad in the first place. However, I am getting the PS4 version soon so hopefully all of these kinks will be worked out.

I just applied Conal's shader command line update, and I don't see it in the complexion options. Is it something on the console and not the PC?

I think I found a possible way to uninstall the patch
I found this post on Tumblr. When I get the chance I'll try it myself, but for everyone else seeking a solution here you go. Really hope this works, tell me if anyone gets any positive results.

You mean for digital versions? No idea, sorry. From what I've read, the new patch would automatically be downloaded and installed when you reinstall the game. I have automatic updates turned off in Origin, but Origin still tried to download the new patch as soon as the game finished installing off of my disks, so I just cancelled the download. Not sure if it works the same way for digital versions, though. ![]()

If it's just graphics issues, then Conal's command line fix should work. It obviously won't help with any other issues.

God lord, Cole's hair now looks like white satin, LOL! I'm amazed that a patch actually made the game worse... it's actually kinda funny in an really annoying way.
I was recording cutscenes for my DAI review and now it's all gonna look inconsistent.
Cole's hair has always looked almost white in my PS3 version. Is it darker than that in the higher polygonal versions?

Nah, it won't help with the crashes etc. I don' think. Just for the people that have scars, freckles missing, shiny hair and whatnot.

I do own the collector's edition of the game, so if anyone else is interested in what the other tarot cards I can take pictures. There's a lot of them.
Oh, yes, please! I lost the chance to pre-order the Inquisitor's edition because I was still on-and-off about playing Inquisition after DA2 (how wrong I was!) so I don't have those fantastic tarot cards
I wish Bioware would sell them separately one day.
Actually what does Knight of Sword means? I saw someone else posted him as Knight of Pentacles.
I saw this on tumblr. It's so awesome!
