My autosaves save over each other. :( And I don't think that is supposed to happen.

Hmm, it doesn't do that for me. My Quick saves save over each other. I wonder if that's a setting...? (altho I should say, I'm on PC! and my hard drive is groaning from the weight of all the save files I have).

Out of curiosity, any one ever tried to load a world state with all mages killed in circle of Ferenden as Cullen requested?

I wonder if that changes his dialogue in DAI. Is that too evil...

That is intriguing. I wonder if his dialogue would change. I would expect it to.

Wow, you guys. This patch is really bad.

yeah it's too bad....I hope they get it worked out soon.

I won't go back online until I hear it is... I have disabled the update but don't want to push my luck...some of the issues are scary...Inquisitors aging 40 or 50 years over night is bad. :D

What if that isn't a bug and that is supposed to happen? Stresses of the job catching up with them and all. Or that is what you look like for the first 40 seconds then surprise! This is what the anchor does to you! And you thought it was all glowing and prettiness.  :P That is just mean BioWare

Well, I did have my two year old smacking me in the face at the time of checking so I will have another look. Fingers crossed.  ^_^

I take it you don't have Origin turned off? There is a way to disable it automatically logging you in, but you have to get to the main menu screen, which you might not be able to do.

He's referencing this post by Conal Pierse: http://forum.bioware...9#entry18031083 This is the super important part though:

So, set it to Ultra and make sure your Mesh settings are on Ultra too. (I think?)

I was pointing out that those posts have two different commands.

The first said:

ShaderSystem.ShaderQualityLevel <quality setting>

and Epler's says

ShaderSystem.ShaderQualityLevel <Quality Level>

I don't know how much difference the wording inside the angle brackets makes, but it might be important...

Switch to offline mode. You should be able to start the game then.

EDIT: You can also switch back to online mode once the game is open and running.

OMG. I just updated my game, innocently, because I missed the news about the HORROR.

UGHhhhhhhhhhhh. Y god y. Hotfix, here I come. Pls work...

@Tishina: The stuff in brackets gets deleted. So the code would look like -ShaderSystem.ShaderQualityLevel High -- for example, if you put it in the command line.

They are saying the same thing. You just have to replace the words in the brackets with whatever level you have your meshes on.

Like, if it's on Ultra you need to write -ShaderSystem.ShaderQualityLevel Ultra

Argh this might even give Cullen more reason to hate himself... :crying:

No no no no no I don't want to know... (Okay, I do.)

Great. The game updated itself before I could even stop it.

Now I get to see Cullen and the entire Inquisition looking as though they put vaseline in their hair.

No, <quality setting> = <Quality Level> = (Ultra, High, Medium or Low)

So for example for "High" shader and mesh quality, you just type:

-ShaderSystem.ShaderQualityLevel High

...and  'd x 15!

This is how I see Cole and my Quizzy. Gah, I just want to give him a knuckle rub on the head.

Not quite what OP was asking but this is Cole and my Inquisitor.

Cole: "You shouldn't worry. He doesn't notice it."

Inquisitor: Turns away from the mirror and looks at Cole nervously. "Erm, who doesn't notice what?"

Cole: Smiles. "Cullen, he doesn't notice that blond hair you get just above your eyebrow that grows really long. I know that sometimes you worry because you forget to pluck it out but he doesn't notice it when that happens."

Inquisitor: Groans. "Maker, Cole, some things are just not discussed!" Turns back to mirror and pulls out the offending hair.

Argh this might even give Cullen more reason to hate himself... :crying:

No no no no no I don't want to know... (Okay, I do.)

Since I am starting again I may as well investigate this because I am very curious to see if it will change anything. So expect an update from me on this in a couple of hours.

"Evil" aside... I've imported world states with the Ferelden Circle both annuled and saved, and Cullen had no different lines whatsoever, or even any reference to the annulment in his rants about the Order. He did have a different line in DA2, but in Inquisition neither decision gives him any unique dialogue.

If you're wondering this because of the Keep tile about agreeing with Cullen's request to annul the Circle, that tile was added way too late in development to affect anything, it showed on the Keep only about a month before launch. It's just a flavor tile that doesn't really trigger anything in-game.

I went offline and didn't have to update it. Argh, this is such a [insert explesive]...... Well, I'll just replay my first Inquisitor on favorite levels and what not. Although, have to say it's stuttering like crazy offline (maybe it's just my computer today)

Thanks. Just read this on the other thread about how to roll back your patch. THANK THE MAKER! *phew* Crisis averted. My game is just a loverly as ever. And safely sequestered away from the evil Internet and its malicious patchings and scratchings.
