I'm dividing this issue between Cullen and Dorian. So far all my girls promise to go to Cullen, while Dorian is snagging all my boys. 

 

Same here!!! The problem is that I've like 8 PTs planned and some of my boys are going to Josie, Cass, Dorian... But it seems that either Cass or Dorian might stole 'em multiple time, sacrificing Josie or Bull.

 

And all my girls (my first 4 PTs) are going to Cullen... Argh, sorry Solas & Bull... All my red heads are finally heading to Cullen...

 

(basically most of my PTs had changed from all races & all gender to female human/elf)...

Same here, my 3rd or 4th PT will be a girl warrior Alanna the Lioness (ever read Song of the Lioness by Tamora Pierce? Alanna will have short red hair with violet eyes). I considered making her templar but after seeing that video... nuh uh, can't do this to Cullen. So Champion she'll be (just like in the book...)



Err... I just realized that basically all my current & future Inquisitors are going to share her life with Cullen... Am I the only one who finish by not romancing anyone else but Cullen??? I'm on my second PTs & it's Cullen all the way (mage!Trevelyan this time, siding with mages).

I'm starting another PT as a female Mage and I really want to try a romance with solas but I keep getting drawn to cullen again! I can't help it haha!

lol This is quite a few pages back but in PS4, you have to press the 'share' button then select upload picture. You can share the picture through facebook, twitter etc. Then you have to download the picture again in your computer/mobile in order to use it. extremely troublesome...
 

Yay!! My romancing Cullen pt has already used up all the 40 slots. I have to switch PS accounts to play my other playthroughs... This is indeed a good news for me

Actually, if you put in a USB stick the PS4 can put them directly on there. It'll make its own folder but no special formatting or anything required. That's how I got all my pictures and videos out. (You do this through the Capture Gallery, though, not the share button.)

Why do we call him Ser Barris instead of Ser Delrin?

 

We got so many templars called by first name in DA:O & DA2: Meredith (Stannard), Wesley (Vallen), Cullen (Rutherford), Evangeline (de Brassard).

Pretty much because that's what the game calls him, for me. I feel weirdly invasive calling him Delrin, since no one calls him that.

I think Thrask was Ser Thrask's last name, too, though, so Barris wouldn't be the first.

That would make me nope out of the Templar spec so hard.

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I went with Blackwall for my warrior PT. The Templar spec is my favorite for warriors, but I can't do that to Cullen, specially since this time they very specifically say in game that your PC has to start taking lyrium to get their abilities. I keep picturing this scenario in my head where every time Cullen kisses the Inquisitor he can taste a faint trace of lyrium in her mouth, and hear that hum of it again in the distance, tempting him over and over as he tries so hard to distance himself from it. *shudder* I guess this could work if you tell him to keep taking lyrium so you're both hooked on the dust together, but... holy angst fest, Batman.

Just stumbled upon another fanfic about Cullen/Dorian or Cullen/Male Inquisitor pairing. Please everyone, Cullen's straight & Dorian's gay. This is as bad as making Dorian/female character pairing, it's changing his essence. This is wrong. Very wrong.

 

I'm against any mod/(to some extent fanfics) making Cullen or Dorian or Cass or Sera or Solas to be available to gender they're not meant to romance.

 

Anyone doing this is as bad as Dorian's dad wanting to use blood magic to change sexual orientation. Each character's preferences is a part of their story, of their being. Please respect this at last.

I'm honestly not bothered by people writing straight characters as gay in fanfics. Sexuality can be fluid, and it's fiction. It... might be hypercritical, but it only starts becoming uncomfortable for me, personally, when people write gay characters as straight, because straight people haven't gone through years of people trying to erase their rights and existence.

Well so far my female characters are romancing Cullen...first was my rogue then I will create a warrior to romance him with.  

 

My male warrior romanced Cassandra. I just finished that playthrough and enjoyed it a lot.  The fourth will be another male warrior or rogue that romances Josie.

god i hate it so much! i've learned it shortly after i joined tumblr... ugh sometimes it is a reaaaally bad place

i hate changing the canon sexuality of characters!

it's like repainting artist's picture, only because you don't like it the way it is done by the artist himself, or you don't like the content of the said picture... point remains the same (my little artistic brain could come up only with that kind of analogy ;p)

 

also yeah... sexuality is strongly tied to characters story arcs and their portrayal

My daughter hooked me on Tamora Pierce books by playing the audio books in my hearing, and knowing I liked the Alanna/Keladry type of female protagonist. I also like the Magic Circle books (I've thought about basing my qunari warrior on Daja, actually).

Ahh, I don't know where to start gushing about this game but I'm afraid I'd unintentionally throw spoilers here and there and boy was I happy that I did not spoil myself. I was suffering a horrible withdrawal from this thread though (and was it a challenge to catch up, let me tell you) but on the plus side my bf loves the game so I could torture him instead. He is romancing Cass

 

I love the setting soo much and Cullen... I don't normally get weak at my knees when a cute pixel just looks at me ekhm my protag but his facial expressions combined with Greg's superb voice acting was too much to resist. And why would I anyway...?

I have to disagree with this one. I get Dorian's case, his sexuality is big part of his character arc. However Cullen's is not, its also not removing representation or anything. Characters aren't same as people to me, they can be written differently and approached differently. They can be used as base in fanfics and altered a lot according writers or artist views. Marvel actually does this to their own characters, there is universes where Wolverine is gay for example although in canon universe he's straight. Really, these are characters and having headcanons or fanons isn't hurting anyone.

I like Daine, but I don't really identify with her in the same way. Keladry's probably my favorite; she's very comfortable and confident inside her own skin (if that makes sense). I've been reading science fantasy since the mid 70s, though, a little before Pierce started.

Ha, I think I may be one of the few Cullenites who won't be moving on to the Barris thread. In no small part to the fact that I really don't want my DA4 canon LI to be a Chantry boy.
