Mmm... maybe. I guess I was thinking that seeing someone step right out of the Fade... if that has religious connotations, are they expecting that we just traveled from the Black City or something? I mean, our characters have gone conscious to the Fade quite a bit (ahem... despite that being a rare thing to happen...ahem); every DA property so far, in fact.  :P

True, I guess. I'll bet Cass'll be calling BS on the whole religious thing though lol

I'm planning for a female elf archer, who pals around with Iron Bull and Dorian for her usual companions. Poor Cass is really going to be left behind a lot in my game, she's very stoic and serious. It'd be fun to hear her and Varric's banter though.

Varric's coming with me everywhere, it's a tradition!

I am reading TME and my second playthrough is definitely going to be a male elf! Orlais here I come!!!

I was thinking male elf for my second playthrough too. Depending on LI's sexualities I might romance Cullen or Dorian with him XD

Same, though he's gonna have to be dual wielding daggers!

I saw daggers on his back in the trailer, even though he was wielding Bianca.

Huh. This is interesting from that thing eluvianix just posted.

"You emerge as the lone survivor of the magical explosion that creates the Breach, the massive hole in the sky at the heart of the trouble. At first, the people of Thedas won’t be sure what to make of you. Are you responsible for the explosion? Are you a chosen one sent to right this wrong? Are you simply lucky? The circumstances of the explosion add a religious undertone to some people’s interpretation of what has occurred. With the Chantry a largely human religion, playing as an elf, dwarf, or Qunari will further complicate how you’re received by the masses."

I was definitely pondering that underlined part, yes. Though it makes sense almost immediately given what they've told us so far:

Spoiler tag, to play it safe:
Spoiler

That said I'm about to start checking the forums for a thread about how Bioware is trying to force religion on the PCs.

Did you see the classes on the website? The Mage one had something called "Knight Enchanter" for a specialisation. It says "Among the Circles of Magi, only a few mages have the strength of will necessary to focus their energy inward. Wrapped in protective magics and wielding blades of arcane force, the Knight Enchanters are rare, but inspiring sights as they lead the charge into enemy ranks."

Sooooo, is that like an arcane warrior?

i'm wondering abt how we walk outta the fade and then their soldiers find us. soooo, what? did they see the inquisitor walk out from a distance, and then went to that location ? or did the inquisitor walk out then stumble off somewhere so they had to track them down?

i mean, i wonder if there's a time lag there, or if these soldiers are standing there at the ready after we stumble outta the fade.

poor inquisitor.

Tad insensitive much?

It was awfully mean of me to suggest there are more important things in life to be upset about than the sexualities of video game characters. Shame on me. Don't fret, I've already reported myself.

Yup, and it reminded me of the Blades spell from Fable actually. It sounds awesome.

Also, we have Necromancer and Rift Mage.

I hope so! I was pretty settled on elven rogue to start, but if anything like an AW or Battlemage is an option, that's first. Magical stabbing rules.

That's what I thought, but instead of wielding actual blades like a warrior or rogue they can create magic blades, something like you can see in Skyrim. I forget what the spell is called, but it's pretty sick looking, and I will for sure be playing that spec for my eventual mage.

No clue. Someone was just able to lift up the names for all the specializations.

Well, that works for me! My Warden was an arcane warrior that used a sword, lol.

It's not hard.  The icons for each specialization are named the respective specialization, so, save the image to your computer and read the file name.

Same, I had the headcannon that Alistair taught her how to use swords properly after she discovers the spec in the elven ruins  <3

Oh God, if you're a human female, do you think the masses will think you're Andrastre reborn???

... Wait.

man, catching up on this thread while at work is like emptying a river with a teacup.

But I managed.

So I guess I will call my human female  Andraste Trevelyan then. And her ass will flame across Thedas with a vengeance, so look out!

I'd love a similar spell in inquisition,in fact if arcane warrior specialization returns in any form it would be really nice...Although I'd also like to see a renewed version of the Keeper and Shape shifter specializations as well...
