Since the first video I saw of that scene involved an open door onto the battlements where guards passed every 30 seconds during the kissing scene, that's been my theory for a while

Cullen struggle with his old feeling & mourning of Amell/Surana who did Ultimate Sacrifice. He can't help thinking that his feelings for Mage Trevelyan/Lavellan is a pale memory of Amell/Surana. Until Amell/Surana's spirit visit Cullen in one of his nightmares, and tell him good bye & please go on living.

Haha! I have to ask, which door did you enter his tower from? I went a different way than I normally do (I went through Solas's tower this time), and I noticed that the door in the scene (the door I normally visit Cullen from) was closed.

Anyway I just finished a scene with Cullen on one of my old IQs and an elven soldier or scout was stuck in his tower...I chased her out literally...I opened a door and pushed her down the stairs/ramp and went back to the tower...then another soldier appeared. These fools are about to find out why my IQ was truly named "Inquisitor".

Haha! I have to ask, which door did you enter his tower from? I went a different way than I normally do (I went through Solas's tower this time), and I noticed that the door in the scene (the door I normally visit Cullen from) was closed.

 

The one that goes up from in front of the tavern (opposite of the one that Cullen throw his box to)

 

I've done some experiments, whichever door you use to enter his tower, your character will get teleported to that one door... (I tried the one leading up from Solas' room and my Inquisitor get teleported to the door that Cullen throw box.

I usually enter from the door to the right. Ah well, just means I will have to experiment some more with that scene. The sacrifices I make

I always visit from Solas' door because Dashiell always visited the BFF after visiting the boyfriend. I have headcanons of Dorian having mild heartattacks every time my Inquisitor vaulted over the bannister to just jump down to Solas, actually. Poor Dorian.

So the Zima/Cullen friendship kind of led backwards (especially now that we know the DAI storyline), and I wrote the beginning of their friendship for pg 4000 (even if I'm 5 pages late finishing ). Not as funny or cute as Cullen's Charge, much more of a quiet conversation. I also have in mind a conversation over the chess game that will connect it to Cullen's Charge, then possibly another funny/cute one later. I haven't decided if I'll let this one slip over into romance, I kind of like the feel of the friendship between them, and I may leave the spicy romance writing to people who are better at it.
