No, the lion helm was cut from the final game for whatever reason.

Personalities or appearances? I accidentally ended up with a ginger inquisitor (thought I was getting a dirty blonde that wasn't super yellow.) The greenish light had me fooled, but I liked it and I wasn't going back to change her face again : p
Lordy I come up with any excuse to re-make my characters. Race, class, imports, appearance, spec (yes I know I can change it in-game, that's how bad I am) I finally think I've got the one I'm going to stick with, though I'm coming up fast on the Haven "situation" and that's where I usually cave.

Wow! I just came back to see the 4000pg celebration, so many lovely screencaps and art! Uber jealous of you PC/PS4 players and you're purty screenshots
You can do screencaps from XBox One too. It's just more steps.

LOL. You can do it Nikki! Skyhold is so fun to build up, too.

I think the lyrium given to Templars is a complete and total form of control. I would have loved a way to influence that more especially once you know what the Seekers can do without it.
If you do Cassandra's companion quest...
Interesting, so apparently Gaider was on some podcast and was quoted as saying "We did cut a ton of content." To be fair, content always gets cut from games so it's not like this is a revelation... I just hadn't realised THAT much had been removed, certainly explains why the pacing is off and the ending feels abrupt, lol.
There has been an announcement that cut content will be making it's way back into the game as they can implement it:
http://blog.bioware....for-dragon-age/
Priority 2 – Features and content
As massive as Dragon Age: Inquisition already is, there were some things the team wanted to get in at launch, but we just ran out of time. We’ll be creating these new features and content and adding them into your game over time because we love our DAI players.
A question (super spoiler) about In Hushed Whisper.
Will we always get:
Spoiler
Sterile due to lyrium
I haven't heard anything about Templars being sterile due to Lyrium. In fact, Thrask in DA2 has a Mage daughter, Rhys' father in the books is Greagoir, and even Cullen says Templars are allowed to marry.

Yikes. Wish I hadn't seen the discussion in the pages surrounding one of the posts quoted above. Micro-rant under a spoiler cut so I can get my venting done without causing anyone on the opposite side of this issue the same teeth-grinding I'm going through right now; don't click it unless you like arguing.
Spoiler
My stance was that we missed out on seeing him get to that characterization because it would have been easier for the people that didn't like him to like him straight away if he was already at that point. I feel like we missed out on that character growth because it had all happened between games. I love the man Cullen has become in DAI right from the get go, I just wish we could have seen it but I am greedy when it comes to Cullen content in the game. I want it all and be able to experience it all.

I just heard a bit of banter that kinda made me start postulating about where a possible expansion or DLC might be for DAI.
Perhaps we might be going to Markham, for the next Grand Tourney. Varric said it would be an "Inquisition Road Trip!"

What really got me was Blackwall's assertion that "something has to be going on up there"...I'm kinda kidding about this and yet, I'm also not lol.

That's totally fair, although I think the ball was rolling by halfway through DA2 so it might have been hard to pace it such that he landed anywhere other than where he did at the start of DA:I. And I also agree that any part of DA fandom making the Cullen fandom feel bad for liking him pre-DA:I is 100% ******; it's not like anyone on this thread was ever going "yeah, you know what, mages AREN'T people!", at least in the year I've been here. I was referring more to the idea that his moral stances in DA:I are fanservice (anti-fan service?). However, looking back through, it looks like only one person was actually saying that. And while reviving a thread debate 20p later was mildly annoying on my part, picking a fight with one person would have been straight up ****** if I'd known that's what I was doing. So I'll leave this train of thought here, with my apologies. My stance was that we missed out on seeing him get to that characterization because it would have been easier for the people that didn't like him to like him straight away if he was already at that point. Not everything that was cut will be put back in, only certain things. I wouldn't get your hopes up beyond that.

My problem is that of the character growth and personal plight we did see from him, it wasn't enough content for a game that size, which left it feeling lacking. Same goes for all the companions/advisors.

Yeah. It definitely felt like a lot more content per character than DA2 to me (although for all I know that may be insanely wrong by quantitative, objective standards), but there were dozens of Chekhov's guns lying around unfired by the end of the game. This was my favorite cast yet and it seemed like they just had so many great ideas, more than they could have fit even with a bigger budget and still more dev time; I'm scared that we never will see the majority of them play out. I would love to see them capitalize on all of the "big world" assets they've made by just infilling with buckets of new crit-path for an expansion, though I'm sure my simplistic idea of how game development works and what's cost-effective is nothing like reality. Or even doing sequels with more or less the same cast a la ME, though I'm told that's not how DA rolls and it would ****** off a lot of fans to play the same person in multiple games. My problem is that of the character growth and personal plight we did see from him, it wasn't enough content for a game that size, which left it feeling lacking. Same goes for all the companions/advisors.

Quick question asked for probably the guzzumpty-umph time - but wicked eyes, wicked hearts - dost thou have to do Cullen's personal quest first to trigger romantic stuff. He's a tiger. ![]()

I haven't played DAI yet.. but it will be quite intresting to see Cullen here. As someone who is both Pro-Circle and loves DA2 Cullen most.. the one that Cullen seems to hate himself from what I have gathered from people's posts.. well surely will be intresting to see if I will like DAI's Cullen and the way his character development have gone.

Well damn, 4000 came and went very quickly, congratulations everybody
Everyones contributions look great and read brilliantly! I'll go back and spam some likes when my internet stops freaking out at the amount of pictures it has to process on the pages lol.
I have only a few screenshots, I always seem to capture him mildly annoyed and scunnered looking though
He does smile in my game, honest he does!
