Imshael is wearing Ander's coat.  Just an observation.

^ What frustrated me was asking Cullen if he knew Varric as he was from Kirkwall, then running to Varric and asking where he was from. Ok, try not to do that next time lol.

I see I'm not the only one that having this problem...

Obviously when a mage gets to the stage of being an abomination, there isn't that much to save ;_; as seen in the games.

I guess there are different stages to the possession or depends on the demon really. Like in TME, the demon took his time? And for some, the effects were immediate. Does it matter if the demons are more conscious and aware of their powers? Rage demons vs pride demons are in different tiers and sentience, iirc.

In Asunder the guy was actually one of the abominations who had the physical change.  That doesn't always happen though, seems to depend on the demon.

I feel like a bigger problem might be whether you can actually contain an abomination while you prepare and then fight the demon in the fade.  Especially if you have a situation like with Uldred where it's using blood magic to force more demons into people.

He's not the only wearing Anders's coat. :P

I think in Asunder, the abomination was contained in some ward and the demon was fought in the fade. But the ward was already pre-made, so ... containing an abomination would be hard while trying to get everything set up.

I believe there's some dialogue in DAO that it was only possible to free him because he agreed to be possessed?

I recall that the pride demon who tried to get you to agree to possession in Origins was also more subtle than the lesser demon who tried to oust you by force. The pride demon also commends you for recognizing that the true dangers of the fade lie in deception and misplaced trust. Desire demons and pride demons are classified among the most dangerous perhaps for this reason. If freeing is only possible under the condition that possession was agreed to, I'm wondering if that means my Warden could have been exorcised had she fallen to possession due to deceit as well? I know you can convince Irving to go in to save Connor, and Greagor had a very high opinion of Irving's ability to withstand possession, so I still find it a bit hard to believe that it can't be done for anyone but the most powerful of possessed mages who had to have fallen to exceptionally strong demons or something.

I just feel like reform of the Circles/Templars requires a more workable alternative to tranquility and death, so I'm very curious about how it can be achieved.

So completely irrelevant comment but I've just decided that the absolute best thing about the Sims 4 is actually reading the patch notes on their forum. Whoever the sim guru is that writes them is funny. :)

I hate the sims 4 but I'm going to patch my game now anyway out of respect for their amusing notes. :)

Yeah I have read those; they're funny  Sims writers just have a great sense of humor in general.

I love TS4 but I miss having cars and also being able to roam about my neighborhood. I have to go through a damn loading screen just to visit my neighbor across the street. Kind of annoying; I feel like I live on an island.

Carry on with the Cullen talk  ^_^ Just started yet another ME playthrough to help me get through my DAI-related disappointments, sigh. Perhaps being able to romance our boy 1-2 years down the line will help me overlook the game's "faults" (in my eyes; I know it's great for some)

I love DA:I. At least it's a massive improvement compared to DA:2. I would have loved to see my favorite DA:O companions interact more. But I like what we got too. Of course it does help that how I can romance Cullen whenever I want. Once this game becomes fully moddable I think it'll be as good as DA:O.

I've decided though that I think they either need to do another game on the Hero's quest to cure the Darkspawn taint or create a dlc for it. Bc that's a game I want to play! Seeing all my other companions made me really miss my DA:O hero.

It depends on the dialogue options you take with Leliana though the story and how much you actually go out of your way to talk to her. It's not a glitch.

I agree, or well, better than DAO since I'm not a huge fan of DAO (more of a DA2 fan, but truthfully, I enjoyed both immensely). It's not just the LI situation, although that would certainly have helped. This new MMO-style of playing is very alien for me and not something I enjoy. I'd love to grab some mods that streamline the story a bit more, allow me to level up quickly so I don't have to do all the tedious stuff and can just enjoy the awesome main story. I'm really looking forward to that, even if it's far into the future.

For me, my Warden was just so blank and boring, partly because he had no actual voice.

DAI is the first time I have really enjoyed my own specific characters.

My first playthrough my hero was Amell and she romanced no one bc I'm partial to her with Cullen. Alistair was pretty bitter when he talked about the Warden in that playthrough. I was not fond of him then.

But I'm about to start another playthrough with Cousland (bc that's who I like Alistair w) both remaining Wardens so I can hear him talk sweet about her.

I hope eventually the game w be able to be modded like DA:O was where there's so many extra animations. I won't hold my breathe for it but I hope. But imagine all the lovely Cullen scene that could be added in!

Did you ever play skyrim? The game play style feels very very Skyrim to me.

I'm really tempted to do an elf playthrough. I feel like I should probably romance Solas to get the full picture behind his backstory... but I know Cullen will keep stealing me away, lol!

I just started my 3rd playthrough with the intention to romance Solas but I have the same worries, lol. Just gonna have to keep myself from even flirting with Cullen.

Loved Skyrim...perhaps that is part of the reason why I love this game so much...it takes the open world aspect of Skyrim and adds in a good character-developing RPG.

Yeah I fully intended my first playthrough with a dalish elf to romance solas. She didn't even make it past the first convo with Cullen without flirting with him.

Oh, I just remembered. For those of you who were talking about how you speak to Cullen about knowing Varric in Kirkwall and then go back to Varric and speak to him about Kirkwall; if you explore fully in the prologue before killing the pride demon Varric will tell you he is from Kirkwall and will try and pin-point where you are from based on your accent. For a human, of course.

It's probably  because in your game she was already hardened from the choice in Haven about pulling back her troops. If she's already hardened, makes sense she would kill the sister no matter what.

Hold up when and how does this happen? Does he have to be a Warden...I would assume since you only see him for about 20 seconds as king and can't question him at all...which was rather annoying.

But I spoke to her and was nice to her all the time, LOL!

*shakes head* It seems that you cannot win. All I know is that you have to tell her to not kill the traitor spy, then not to sacrifice her spies lives no matter what...then you just pretty much choose all the "nice" options. If you did all of that then I have no idea what is up with your Leliana.

So, it's interesting what makes "news" these days. I find the author's way of counting fics problematic since, indeed, there is a way to filter ff.n for just Inquisition, and if you add in all the named Inquisitors (Inquisitor + Adaar + Trev + Cadash) they do outnumber Cullen. But! Important point is, at long last, there's more Cullen fic out there. The drought is over! :D
