You are great!  You are funny, thoughtful and good company.  I always read your posts and have a chuckle and end up thinking that you are tops.

 

Hang in there.  Life, partners, kids and Christmas can truly suck sometimes - seriously I don't know that people really appreciate just how much crap you have to do just to keep everything together.  Yesterday, I left early to do the Christmas shopping because it needs to be done and my Hubby hates shopping - I was there for eight hours and my feet felt bloody.  I came home to the breakfast dishes on the table and 'craft' he'd been supervising.  This morning he gets up and to leave for work with the comment that 'urgh - the house is looking messy - you might want to get on to that.'  No matter how much we love them people can be completely insensitive and totally demanding!

 

Anyway, I don't know if any of this is helping but I hope it is and I like you!     I'm pretty sure Cullen likes you too.

So this may have been asked and answered before, but I was wondering -- is the Cullen romance better if you side with the Templars or Mages? It seems like it should be Templars, but I know there's the Cullen quest for Samson if you side with the mages.

Trying to make my second character and torn between making a girl for Cullen or a guy for Dorian. I went mages my first playthrough, so I'd like to see the Templar side... but I want the best out of the romance too. Such decisions!!

I'm sorry to hear you are going through such rough times. I think all of us are, in a way. If everything was perfect, I'm not sure I would get so into fandoms like this. However, it's nice to imagine even for a little while that there's someone out there who feels you are their world. That's how Cullen makes me feel, and that's probably why I like him so much and spend so much time writing stories and drawing fanart. These threads also make me laugh quite a bit, and the posts here really make my day. I don't really have friends here IRL because I'm either working from home or I'm constantly studying for college. My husband has his own hobby that he's into most of the time, so I frequently feel very lonely. 

 

I'm glad to be able to have at least people online who make me smile and make  my day The fact that people take time to post awesome stuff here is great, and I'm also really happy when the stuff I post returns that joy. So thanks, guys!

So I just want to say something to all of you and it is on a very personal note but I really feel like I need to get it out.

The relationship that I have with my partner is not the best and I have just sat through another bout of 'your worthless" from him. It seems like nothing I do is ever good enough whether it be how I raise our children to how clean the house is to the fact that I don't work as many hours as I used to, basically because I do everything concerning the children and the house with no help from him. Any way, I have spent the last thirty minutes since he has left balling my eyes out then I come on here and see that art posted by Elu and I just want to thank you all because sometimes I think that without this thread, I'm not sure if I would be able to make it though the day. You all make me so happy. I come on here and I smile, laugh and can talk about my opinion without being told I am constantly wrong. Besides my children you guys are what brighten up my day and I am so glad that I plucked up the courage to post in here well over a year ago now. Again, just thank you all. You guys are the some of the best people I have meet in my 27 years and I am forever grateful that I know you. Sorry, lol, emotional time over.

I remembered that if you are human you can talk to Varric about being from Kirkwall in the prologue but I am not sure how that works for every race. For a human he will say that he is from Kirkwall and try to pin-point where you are from by your accent. For a qunari he will mention the mess that happened in Kirkwall with the Arishok. I am not sure what he say for elfs and dwarfs but were are supposed to know that he is from Kirkwall before we even kill the pride demon but you have to explore a little more int he prologue to get the dialogue.

This has been discussed quite a bit over the last week. It all really comes down to personal preference. I personally don't like the added angst that I feel like I get from Cullen due to the Samson quest but others have said that they felt like they explored his character on a deeper level when doing it and helped him work through some things. It is a tough one because everyone has different tastes so we will all give you differing opinions on which route we like the best. I mean, we could all give you our reasons but it really is something that you will have to decide on for yourself.

Just started a romance with Cullen on my 2nd playthrough. 

 

It was very swoon-worthy. It may be just what I needed to get over my Solas heartbreak.

I actually head canoned that during my Human noble, playthough he did kill the mage Warden do to failing her Harrowing. To me, that "Don't ask this of me" is, that it was meant as him saying he would but I don't think he would want too do something like that again to someone he loved. After all, I think it would break him. I would say it could be seen as him also not wanting to kill the mage quizzy.
